Mostly visited with family but did eat out a fair bit. We ate at The Famous Chinese Restaurant, Patrinos, Murietta and at the market. No complaint about any of our meals but found prices higher than what we are used to back in Saskatchewan.

I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea.
I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea. All tourist towns should have free parking. Since Canmore took away most of the free parking and turned it into paid we do not visit anywhere near the amount we use to. Canmore was our 'go to' instead of Banff. (Horrible parking there) We also live in a tourist town and our parking is free. the tourists are way less aggressive with their driving. Also having to use a electronic device on a machine to park is nasty. Very invasive

Beautiful area with lots of options for outdoor adventurers...
Beautiful area with lots of options for outdoor adventurers and foodies alike. Cute little downtown with lots of shops and places to eat. Nice little bubble tea spot, and enjoyed eating at a place called Iron Goat. I like that it is quieter and less touristy than Banff (just a 15-ish minute drive away). My friend loved hiking Ha Ling a year earlier, and we loved East End of Rundle this year.
Grassi Lakes is an easy and beautiful hike too.
Climbing spots like Grotto Canyon are cool, there's even a climb around some pictographs which is really neat.
A friend got married in late April at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, it was a beautiful set up with mountains in the background for the ceremony, and a cute rustic cabin-y feel for the reception inside.
Would recommend Canmore to anyone. :)
bed was clean, room was simple, bathroom floor was cracked but its an older building and we had no towels but when i called to get some they brought it up within 5 minutes. Very nice staff. I knew what to expect when i booked here, and it is an older place but perfect if you just need a place to lay your head. In all honestly when you're in beautiful country like the Canmore /Banff region, who needs a big spacious hotel room when you just need a place to sleep
The hotel was located beatifully and was an amazing value for money comparing it to other hotels in Canmore. Appartment was very spacious, offered a nice view, and the kitchen had everything you need and more. The gym and pool were nice for the evening and you can make free use of the 6 barbecues located outside. The staff was superb, were very nice and helpful and they let you rent bear spray for free during your stay. Highly recommend.
From the moment we arrived the venue has been outstanding ! This family business gives attention to the detail and will make your stay such a pleasure. We stayed at 10 locations on our visit to Canada and this stay was by far the best. we couldn’t have asked for more, from Daniel the chef and his partner, to Caroline making our stay so memorable. Thank you Creekside Villa!
Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. These folks clearly understand how to run a hostel. Staff was incredible, showers in the rooms (and outside options too), kitchen amazing. Overall, the $80 shared dorm room and hostel facilities were superior to the $450 hotel across the street. Fantastic place and I’ll be returning here next time I’m in Canmore.
The room with kitchenette is very convenient to be autonomous, with some pots, plates, bowls and cutlery.
The hotel is close to the center of Canmore by car and next to the highway, which is very convenient to visit.
The room is clean, but the sheets are old and it smells very strong of cigarette because of the carpet.
We came here for our Honeymoon trip and got a complementary gifts from the hotel which was very nice and made our day as it was our last day in Canmore! The room is spacious, clean and very cozy with a fireplace. Also, the mountain view from our balcony was just perfect. This gonna be our favorite hotel in Canmore!
This was the second time I've stayed at the Chateau Canmore. Rooms are great, comfy beds, reasonable rate, and quiet. The parking is not ideal, however it is convenient for those with smaller vehicles. Recently updated rooms at a an affordable rate give the hotel a 4star feel for the traveler on a budget.
It had many of the comforts of home, being a condo unit instead of a hotel room. Full kitchen especially nice to have. Underground parking was a bonus we didn't expect. There is an ingenious system for ensuring that the room is secure and the entry code cannot be guessed by anyone.
It was the cheapest hotel we could find in Canmore, standard motel rooms but clean and comfy. Our kids enjoyed the playground and hot tub, which we had to ourselves both times we used it. There's even a great view of the mountains from our window in the morning.
I really loved the dog-friendly details for our room - comfy dog bed, dishes, and special snack! Hotel is in a great location - easy walking distance to downtown Canmore and next to some great coffee shops and restaurants.
The Canmore hotel hostel is located in a great area and a easy drive away to Banff, Lake Louise and all the outdoor trails. The general area and washrooms were clean and kitchen area had a lot of utensils and appliances.
If your looking for a place to stay very close to Banff, Alberta Canada love, like or don't mind ruget this is the place. I feel & know it is fantastic for the price in the area.
Definitely will be staying there again!!
If you're reading this review - book this apartment! It's like stepping into a five-star hotel with all the comforts of a beautiful home. New, spotlessly clean, comfortable and located in a beautiful area of Canmore.
Unit was comfortable, well appointed, and very nicely decorated. All together a wonderful stay in a lovely and homey condo unit, close to all that the Canmore and Banff area have to offer.
We were on back of hotel so it was very quiet- trains go through Canmore regularly. Bedding was very clean and crisp. Information on Covid precautions were clear and well-thought out.
Close to town centre so we were able to walk everywhere. There was lots of things to do outside the hotel with games, a fire pit to sit by and some bbqs.
