The view from the hotel and the nice castle-like feeling is a unique experience. Breakfast was amazing and the choice of food was very vast, from healthy muesli, smoothies, fruits etc. to heavier type of food like cakes, sausages, etc.

The first very nice surprise for Hungarian travellers, that the staff is Hungarian. Above the common language, and this is the real value, the couple who manage the Gasthof -Gábor and Tünde- are really very professional, very kind and helpful people.
The breakfast is rich, good quality, typical Austrian one.
However the restaurant is open every day - except Wednesday-, the foods are really tasty, a certain rethinking of traditional Austrian ones by a very good Hungarian chef.
The Gasthof is an ideal starting point for star-tours. The Dachstein, the Altaussee (with the Loser), Bad Aussee, Radstadt, Schladming or Windischgarten etc. are very close to Irdning.
Free parking place is available w/o reservation.

Location in a quiet and very friendly little village, no any services like shops or hangout places, but very cozy, silent and friendly. For a vibrant nightlife, you have to go elsewhere. In the direct area possible to do a few short hikes in the surroundings, get a taste of the local country life, nice and open community.
The room itself simple, standard decoration and facilities. All what you need is there., even simple things like wall connector for charging phone at your bed. Very clean room and fresh smell. The room had a private balcony, with an amazing view on the mountains. Impressive.
A rich breakfast buffet was served in the dining room. Excellent breakfast, nothing missing. And again, the dining room has the same amazing view on the mountains.
This traditional country inn is located in Aigen in Styria’s Enns Valley. Landgasthof Wöhrer offers free bicycle hire, free Wi-Fi, and free nonalcoholic drinks from the mini-bar.

Very good village in the middle of mountains, if you have car it is quite easy to access the main touristic points. You are everywhere in 40 minutes by car. It is good that is much cheaper than if you stay directly in the touristic locations as Schladming, Hallstatt and similiar.

For a visit during the summer, a few days was fine and the location was beautiful for a hike down the Donnersbach gorge. It’s probably somewhere you’d stay for more like a week or two during the Winter though and a car is a necessity to get around.
