Located in the UNESCO World Heritage village of Hallstatt, Fenix Hall is just 656 feet from Lake Hallstatt and 2625 feet from the center. Free WiFi is available. The property was located very near to the Public Parking, and it was a very scenic walk (15mins) to the Center. Mr. Maurice at property was most welcoming, friendly and helpful, full of eagerness to help, positivity, like a bright sunshine. The rooms had all amenities one could usually think of.
Family-run for 150 years and renovated in 2014, Seewirt Zauner is located right on the historic market square in Hallstatt’s car-free center and 492 feet from the waterfront at Lake Hallstatt. Excellent location and facilities. Hospitality was great!!!!
Located in Hallstatt and within 656 feet of Museum Hallstatt, Weisses Lamm features a restaurant, allergy-free rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. It was a great accomodation in Hallstatt! Practically in the city centre, really nice big rooms, big bathroom, cute little balcony, loved it!

Beautiful historical center - great place to take awesome picture. Great view from the Hallstatt skywalk. Jully 2020 - many restaurants were closed or the opening hours end early (around 5 or 6 p.m.) - maybe consequence of COVID
Very pretty town on the waters edge. Lots of history, and it's a lovely walk up to the viewing platform above the town We didn't do the Salt mine tour as we have done a similar one previously. The shops however are just for tourists and quite disappointing.
Nice small town. We were there in the winter when a lot of restaurants were closed. There were a lot of people from China that were visiting the town at this time and the restaurants that were open could not handle the demand of so many visitors. We stayed two nights. We should have only stayed one as there is not enough to do here.
Really relaxing, with very very beautiful views!!! Food can be difficult to find as many things are closed in January. Hallstatt is easy to walk around, very easy. I got to Hallstatt by flying to Salzburg, then taking a train to Hallstatt station followed by a very quick ferry to Hallstatt :) The only issue with the area is that as this town has been used in movies, there are tons and tons of other tourists.
Such a pretty place. You'll be able to get around in a day. Expensive eating out or buying souvenirs. Shops close quite early 5pm. Cafes close around that time but take note their kitchen could close earlier than 5pm. Town is quiet by 8-9pm.
Absolutely loved Hallstatt, we stayed 2 nights arriving the first night a little late so could not really see the beauty of this place until morning. We spent a full day exploring. Around every turn there was more amazing beauty. It is very easy to get around, in the early part of our day we went in one direction up the hill to the church with an amazingly beautiful cemetery and the view stunning. We had lunch in a lovely little cafe Was really nice. After lunch we went in direction towards the funicular this walk along the lake when you think it can’t get better 😊it does. And there was Snow on the ground. Don’t miss going up on Funicular well worth the money view is amazing. Even the view after leaving on the boat across the lake amazing and then on waiting for the train looking across at beautiful Hallstatt. Our only real disappointment was on arriving in Pm we found not much open for dinner, found the heritage hotel which is just near where boat comes in was treated so rudely by the waiter asked our room number when told we were not guests of hotel he pointed to a table and said this is all that is available take it or leave it was so shocked to be spoken to like this then he just put menu on table and walked away. While sitting there another unfortunate customer entered and we watched there shock as they were treated the same. If there had of been somewhere else to eat we would not have stayed I have never been treated so rudely my advise is stay clear it looks lovely but maybe only if your a guest of hotel otherwise not welcome.
Excellent service . Andi was very attentive to our needs. He met us at the entrance of the town and helped us with our luggage and took us to the apartment. The town supermarket was closed when we arrived, so he provided us with milk for my child. The next morning he brought us fresh bread and fresh milk. I hurt my knee and the Pharmacy was closed on Sunday , so he and his mother got me bandages and anti inflammatory pain meds . Super nice people . The view is lovely and the apartment was neat and clean and had all we needed. Highly recommended
Best place to stay in Hallstatt! The view is simply amazing. We had the entire garden for ourselves! Josef is very friendly host. Before arrival we got exact details regarding check-in process, tips for parking. Check-in was very smooth. Property is close to everything. Property had all the amenities and very high quality too. My camera had a problem and Josef went above and beyond to make few calls and helped me find shops on our way where I can fix the camera! Thanks Josef for wonderful experience. I can come back just for view from this place!
It’s the best place to stay in Hallstat, without any doubt. The host are wonderful and the apartment is just super awesome. I have travelled to many parts of Europe but this apartment has to be rated the best amongst all I have stayed in. My family was super happy and it was like our home away from home. The location is awesome with the funicular to the salt mines your (not to be missed) almost next to the apartment and the city center less than 5 mins walk away. Deepest thanks to the wonderful hosts.
