Behind a battered facade hides a lovely hotel. Despite it cost significantly less than anything else we could find in the imminent area, the hotel itself had everything we needed for this ski excursion. Abundant breakfast with daily offers, comfortable rooms, some with an unobstructed view of the Zugspitze, proper parking solution (even if one had to walk 1 minute) and ran by an attentive staff. There is even a small pool and sauna area, which we were not expecting on this price level. I did enjoy the outdated interior and furniture of the common areas, it has added a twist of time travel to the 90s feeling to the stay.

The hosts were great and very attentive. They were not on site but answered calls quickly. Apartment had everything we needed. Beautiful location. Ski lift across the street. Nice covered parking. The pictures are not representative of the front of the hotel lobby or common area facilities, which were actually downstairs, but the downstairs outside patio was beautiful.
This family-run hotel enjoys a panoramic location above Lermoos in Tyrol's Zugspitz Arena, next to the ski slopes and hiking as well as mountain biking trails.

From a skiing perspective, it's not the most exciting area.
From a skiing perspective, it's not the most exciting area. Although it's really easy to reach (we drove in 7,5 hours from the middle of the Netherlands), the town is a bit lower and therefore snow conditions are not perfect in the valley. Mountain snow conditions were a lot better. I can imagine in Summer it's amazing to hike, for skiing it would not be my area of choice, although I can imagine with young kids it's lovely.

Passing through and stopped in Lermoos to charge the electric car and spend the night.
The Silence-Sporthotel Zugspitze was chosen at random. But...
Fantastic service; on arrival we were welcomed, shown to a large and nice room, presented menu and informed that our dog was welcome in the restaurant.
Lovely food and excellent service; buffet starter, good soup and perfectly cooked lamb. Exceptional service from the waiters. Amazing.
Silence-Sporthotel Zugspitze shows how it can and should be done.
It is hereby recommended.

We travel almost every winter to Ehrwald and Lermoos for skiing. This August was the first time we visited the neighbourhood during summer and it was SO nice! Very beautiful lakes to walk to, kids-friendly, really a must-do during summer holidays.

Amazing town with a beautiful view! We didn’t get to explore it as much as we should have but the tone of the town was relaxing and had an excellent selection of restaurants! The breakfast at our hotel was phenomenal and the dinner at 180 was amazing! Views were beautiful and we walked around the town easily.

Lermoos was centrally located for what we were interested in...
Lermoos was centrally located for what we were interested in visiting. The road system was excellent. I only speak English and most facilities had several people that spoke English. The comfort level increased exponentially when there is no issue communicating. We visited Ludwig's castles as well as the Zugspitz, Grubsitein and Tegelburg.

This is off the beaten track and not over-run by tourists. You get an authentic Austrian experience here and the locals were very friendly. It is in a great location with proximity to several mountains. Highly recommend!!
Warmest welcome by the owners made us feel right at home. They actively asked during the stay if everything was ok, and it definitely was! Great location in Lermoos with a beautiful view on Zugspitz mountain. Grubigstein lifts and slopes on walking distance as well as supermarket and restaurants. Appartement was fully furnished with all the utilities included. The bed was comfy and the shower nice and warm, which is all you need after a rewarding day on the mountain!
Tiny room, but it was nice and clean, we arrived late, around 23:00, but there wasn’t any problem with check out, they left us the room cards at the front desk. Even though there wasn’t any free parking space in front of the hotel, there is a big parking space on the other side of the road, which is free too. Dogs are allowed in this hotel. Breakfast was simple but we liked it, it was nice for a one night stay
Friendly service. Clean rooms. Ample parking space. Great balcony view (one of the best in Lermoos). Classic gasthof is in Widum area of Lermoos, which is 50m up from town center. So, expect a half a kilometer uphill walk in the afternoon from Grubigsteinbahn. Facilitated an early morning leave on our final day by serving breakfast at 7h30.
I loved everything!!! Proximity to delicious restaurants,stores, and ski lift with ski school for all my kids. Also the pool and ski storage room with boot warmers was a huge plus! We enjoyed the pool and room with Mountain View’s and fireplace after a long day of skiing. This place is absolutely PERFECT for a family ski/relax vacation!

The location is central, just 10 minutes from the Grubigsteinbahn ski station (walking in ski boots).
Kitchen equipped with everything you need (but we felt the need for an oven).
Bread service is also available.
The room for drying ski boots and skis is also an advantage.
Wonderful Familie run place. I got picked up from the Busstop upon arrival. The Lady of the house even gave me a ride to the grocery store for some supplies. She also treated me to homebaked goodies. I would definitely come back to stay.
Very nice and recently renovated hotel. Rooms are spacious, very clean and equipped with a balkony and a very nice bathroom.
Breakfast in the morning was nice and included.
