I mean TBH, I am surprised how the hotel got such a high rating on Booking.com as I booked it on the basis of that rating. The room that we were assigned had too many issues. There was a massive leakage problem with the sink tap and even after complaning the front desk did not do anything to resolve it quick. The TV wouldn't work and the walls were so super thin that volume beyond 3 on our side would disturb the guests in the neighbouring room. It's not a great thing. AND to top it all, when we raised all of these issues with Jennifer at the front desk, she was really very rude with us and went on record to say she was having a bad day! Not cool, especially when we're the hotel guests.

I liked the restaurant we ate supper at ( can't remember but it was a top rated steak house) as well as Fiftys diner for brunch.
We went along the beautiful beach walkway.
People were very friendly and helpful.
The streets are easy to navigate. We had fun at the casino but became lost after exiting...ending up in Corbeil but found our way to Hwy 17 and got back to the hotel fairly easily. The hotel stay was pleasant.

cute town, if you're looking for snow and want to XC-Ski then there are multiple options. Lots of accommodation and some good food choices. Not sure what it's like in summer but i imagine lake Nipissing makes for a great summer spot.

The cabin was amazing.
The cabin was amazing.
Cozy, comfortable, clean and overall just so relaxing.
It’s been nicely updated, well kept and offers a very quiet and peaceful experience despite being on the main road. The placement of the rooms blocks out most sound and noise from the road and rooms are well insulated which also helps block out any outside noises.
The staff were wonderful. Polite, reasonable, very friendly and eager to help in any way they can.
Overall the experience was much better than we had expected for the price point, and we would absolutely go again.
Definitely a lovely little place to relax for the weekend!

Love this panoramic city!
Love this panoramic city! It's surrounded by water & beaches & comforts of a big city. It's beach front parks are priceless! The Chief Commanda Restaurant at the waterfront has wonderful ambiance & tasty food.
Not far is the town of Mattawa that is lovely & has a great ski hill!
North Bay has a fun night life too!
It's easy to get around & I will visit again.
Duchesnay falls offers up a picturesque hike.

North Bay is a charming town.
North Bay is a charming town. Be careful where you get lodging, though, because some places misrepresent their access to the beach. I was there at the very end if the season, and the price if my non-beach motel was too high.
Every Friday, there is a very dood dinner at the Legion Hall near Callander, which is open to the public. Excellent steak the night I was there for $22CDN (Not the one in North Bay.) Not very friendly people, though.

Nice lakefront city with quite a history of Ontario northern railroading. The lake is impressive and must have been quite a challenge to cross by canoe. I would treat it with lots of respect.
Nice sandy beaches strewn with the usual beach debris (should be cleaned more often by city).
Stay a few days as there are lots of sights to see around North Bay.
well kind of bad service, don’t tell me when to check out and usually no body at the office I don’t know why they set the stupid office if there is no body
it is no that clean bad also,I fell itchy only sleep for 20 mins so I have to put my jacket on it for sleep
I even found some died mosquitoes on the bad
shower was fine, but the bathtub was slippery and I almost fall down
when I book it show breakfast include, but nothing there, well I prefer pay more 20 dollar for the western hotel,at least I have everything
The breakfast was splendid in a wonderful setting. Good coffee, with real coffee creme available. Nice choice of foods. The entire building was clean and well-maintained. Our room had fantastic air-conditioning and 2 comfy queen-size beds. Staff was gracious. Potential visitors should ignore the negative reviews: maybe people are upset at the 'inner city conditions' near the hotel? That is NOT the fault of Days Inn, and 2 blocks away is a fine middle-class residential area.
Very bad experience overall. Please have to be called for an out of control customer with a jet engine screamer on his Little Audi car and he was drunk and knocking on people's doors in the hotel. Wouldn't even refund me after. I was only there for 2 fucking hours after a twelve hour drive.
I had to leave because it was right outside my door and there was four of us staying on that bottom floor we all left. Not one ounce of courtesy.
I love that it’s family-run. There’s even a little playground for kids. Front desk lady is super nice and friendly. The rooms are modern/newly renovated, absolutely spotless and very well-maintained. That alone is very rare in most places I’ve stayed. The provided toiletries were fantastic and the AC was functional. All in all way better than most big chain hotels by far!
Fresh clean well appointed large room. Quiet. Friendly helpful staff. Nice variety at breakfast. Exterior was beautiful. Air conditioning filters were clean....as we check due to Covid. Pleasantly surprised at such good value and such a nice room. Desk attendent were helpful in giving directions for local laundry mat. Would def recommend this hotel.
This was our second time at Sunset Inn. The owners are great. The location is amazing with a private dock and beach. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Easy access to everything. We look forward to visiting there again. Make sure to visit Terry's Place for breakfast. And don't forget to visit the North Bay Museum.
An easy-to-find hotel with a friendly-yet-professional vibe. Clean and well-presented. Our room was large and comfy, with a spotless bathroom. We slept very well. Excellent (buffet) breakfast with good choice of foods. Would not hesitate to return to the Comfort Inn Lakeshore in North Bay!
Everything. Nice clean, fresh hotel. Large comfortable room. Great lighting in room (a rarity in North American hotels). Good bed. Homewood suites are a good product and this is a good example of the hotels. Complimentary breakfast was better than usual.
To be 100% honest, this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Everything from the check-in, the amenities, the service, the room, the breakfast, the price. Everything was absolutely amazing. By far the best hotel in North Bay and so far, Canada.
We love it there. Everything was just perfect! We were even able to bring our dog, and there was no issues whatsoever. We will go back again, the owners are so nice and helpful. Thanks again for a much needed mini vacay in beautiful North Bay! 🌞
Helpfull and friendly staff.
Well appointed room, with everything working. Including an electric kettle :)
Could walk to good restaurants and a bar.
North Bay centre was a few minutes drive away.
Parking was in front of my room.
nothing as Hotel called 2 days before stay to tell us they would be closed due to power loss. no recommendations to stay - nothing. Two other Wyndham Hotels in town but no referral to them. Very poor customer service!!!
Old run down decrepit facility. Mold in bath shower. And poor pressure. Non smoking g room smelled of cigarette smoke and dirty carpets. Room 204 North Bay nOntario
