The buffet breakfast that was included with the room was more than ample to meet anyone's needs. The location for the castles was perfect since it was less than 100 yards from the ticket office, and the starting point for both the carriage or bus rides. And if anyone cared to eat at their restaurant then you are in for treat since everything that my wife and I ate was truly delicious.

The rooms are nice and cozy, with that old charm. Everything was clean, comfortable, and had a homey feel that made it even more relaxing. There are no toilets/showers in the rooms, but the shared facilities are close, warm, and private when you are in them. There's no risk of someone walking in while you shower for example.
Food was also excellent, I would even advise that the portions are very generous! The salad was amazing, and over delivered on quantity and taste. Really was the icing on the cake so to say.

Rieden is a beautiful farming village close to the Forgensee. It is possible to walk to the lake, if you have time, or you can drive but it’s difficult to park at popular times. Sitting in the Beer Garden of the hotel is absolutely blissful in the evening. You can hear the bells of the cattle, and an after dinner stroll round the village is a super end to a day.
The hotel is at an amazing location. The staff was kind. We were in the room with the shared bathroom which was no problem at al. It was cleaned on a daily basis and with 3 rooms sharing it we never had a problem with it being occupied for to long. The weather was quite hot when we were visiting. Luckily the hotel comes with a private lawn at the lake where you can jump in for a refreshing swim. The room we were in was at the top floor so it did tend to warm up inside but a fan was provided.
Markus and his team are very friendly and good hosts... they accomodate you like "at home" ... I really enjoyed the good and proper breakfast .... everything there like you want to have it and proper portions .. nothing to claim.
They did a very good job - to enlarge their hotel with a Spa and wellness area, which gives you space to relax and to come down by a real good and "real hot" Sauna evening with a great live view into the mountains... I enjoyed it max....
The perfect place for your stay ! The owners are very friendly and helpful (in case needed). The apartment is situated in a perfect privacy and is fully equipped ( hair dryer, TV, good wi-fi, even baking paper sheets are available in case needed). This place is SUPERCLEAN (never seen a cleaner place), very spacious and comfortable. It is very close to the centre of Fuessen or Schwangau by car. The surroundings are beautiful and relaxing. Loved it there!
Amazing hotel with amazing view! The room is big and clean, bed is comfortable. The balcony offers amazing views of the lake and alps! The wellness center is perfect to chill, there’s sauna, infrared room, big pool, shower etc. The views are also amazing from here! Staff is super nice, the restaurant is beautiful with views and parking is easy.
The Seehotel was a wonderful stop near Neuschwanstein on our road trip. We were surprised to see the castle shining across the lake from our room at night! We loved the sauna and were impressed by all the facilities. The staff was very kind setting up a bottle of wine and chocolates for our anniversary. We highly recommend this hotel!

I have to add that when we booked the hotels along the Romantic road our main point was a parking close to the hotels, good breakfast, clean rooms with comfortable beds , all that at a good price.
