The hotel is just at the side of the Chiemsee lake, the view, the location, the park are fantastic. You get this feeling of a classy hotel in magnificent surroundings. It has a private swimming house on a pierce, where you can change and just enjoy the lake. Breakfast -esthetic and meeting every expectation. We were sad to leave, will definitely stay there again. Comfy beds, soundproof walls, very welcoming staff.

This stay was the saving grace of a very long flight with a little one. My 2.5 year old and I flew from South Africa and had a 15 hour layover before our flight to Italy the next day. My little guy does very well on the flights but it's a long trip for him. The convenience of the hotel to the airport was amazing. The welcoming staff at the check in were kind and helpful, and the kiddie area entertained my son while I checked in. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. We had a great sleep and woke up refreshed. I was most impressed by the breakfast that was included with our room rate. IT WAS AMAZING! I only wish that my husband could have been with us to enjoy such a beautiful and delicious meal! We really could have made a full on brunch vibe out of it! Everyone at the restaurant was wonderful. I was even able to pop in and grab a to go coffee before we walked over to terminal 2 for our flight. It was the rose of our travels and we will look forward to staying with Hilton Honors Munich in the future!

Perfect value for money. Location is 5 min walk from main train station and 20 mint to the city center. Breakfast was basically the same everyday, it’s basic, but you everything you need to enjoy start of the day. Room is small but very clean. For sure would stay there again in the future.

This is a really cool hotel. The room was very nice, and the staff as well. The room was functional and clean; the whole design is compact and smart. One of the amazing things here is also the location. It's about 1–2 minutes away from the U3 station, so you can be in the city center in no time. The hotel also offers a parking garage. The people at the reception were friendly and professional.

Romantic Region of Castles and Christmas Markets

Home to some of the world’s oldest and finest Christmas markets, Bavaria is the German region touching Lake Constance and the Austrian and Czech borders. Although evoking images of beer, lederhosen and fairytale castles, it’s much, much more than that.

Famous for Oktoberfest, its capital Munich has impressive architecture lining squares and parks, and several luxury Bavaria hotels on Booking.com. To the north, Nuremberg is a city of 2 halves: a picture-postcard old town and grandiose Nazi rally grounds housing a sensitive museum.

With a stately palace and gardens, Erlangen is on the Regnitz River which continues to beautiful Bamberg where one of the half-timbered buildings hovers above the flowing river. Bayreuth is well-known for opera performances of Wagner, a former resident, while Regensburg on the Danube River has a beautiful, medieval centre.

Unsurprisingly, most romantic Bavaria hotels are on the Romantic Road between Würzburg, with its hilltop castle, and Füssen in the foothills of the Alps. Neighbouring Hohenschwangau has 2 royal castles, one of which – Neuschwanstein – inspired the Disney castle. When we pulled in, the place was packed with cameras — the VfB Stuttgart football team had just arrived! Despite the buzz, a hotel attendant came straight to our car, helped with luggage, and parked it for us. Our room wasn’t ready yet, so we relaxed in the lobby and ordered from the hotel kitchen. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, pricey, but fitting for a 5-star spot. As a sweet anniversary gesture, we received two drink vouchers for the bar. Once the room was ready, a staff member personally found us, gave a quick intro to the hotel amenities, and escorted us upstairs. Our luggage followed shortly after. Inside the room: complimentary minibar, a gorgeous cake with treats, a chilled bottle of champagne, and a personalized letter. The room was spotless, peaceful, and the bed was extra comfy. Each day, two fresh water bottles were placed at our door when the “Do Not Disturb” sign was up — a subtle but appreciated detail. Breakfast was another highlight: a generous buffet with hot dishes, cold cuts, fruits, cheeses, pastries, cereals, and fresh-pressed orange juice. The coffee was rich and perfectly balanced. The wellness area was excellent. The indoor pool was spacious and relaxing, paired with a quality hot tub. The gym was well-equipped: bench press, cable machines, dumbbells up to 30kg, pull-up and dip bar set, and cardio machines. There was also a smaller outdoor pool and a private lakeside beach with loungers and discreet water access. At checkout, the staff booked us a restaurant and sent us off with water bottles and snacks for the road! A thoughtful finish to an already fantastic stay. And yes, we’ll absolutely be back!

Munich is a wonderful place to visit.

Munich is a wonderful place to visit. I was there for 8 nights and had so many things to do. The people in Munich are very friendly and helpful. Food is great, from the stands to the fine dining you will find amazing eats. Getting around Munich id very easy and the hotel is perfectly situated for walking and reaching places by public transport I took a few day trips to the most amazing places like Rothenburg one day and Neuschwanstein Castel on a separate tour. Both are not to be missed. Don't hesitate to visit Munich

Do one of the walking tours run by knowledgeable local guides. Visit the Durer Museum and the Germanishes National Museum. The Nuremberg Trial Memorial Centre and Docuzentrum to learn about how Germany deals with its history. Recommended: Bel Hana Egyptian restaurant and Xoco for kakao and kaffee: they roast coffee beans from around the world, make Mexican hot chocolate and speak Spanish, English and German!

We took the tram or the bus as our mode of travel. We visited the Wurzburg Residenz, Festung Marienberg, Marktplatz & marienkapelle, we had fried fish in the Marktplatz, Town Hall, Library. The Wine Bridge, the autumn in Wurzburg is so beautiful, so was the food, We ate Mexican the first night in the city it was lovely. The bakery was always filled with such beautiful looking colourful sandwiches, and cakes the Bratwurst is so delicious. We did alot of walking so much to see. We really enjoyed ourselves

Bamberg is a great small German town, unspoiled by either war damage or insensitive property development. There is a lot to see and the restaurants are good. The market is lively and there's a fabulous concert hall, home to the winner of Gramophone magazine's "Orchestra of the Year, 2026" - the Bamberg Symphony.

A tour of the town early in the day on the Little Train is a good way of getting your bearings and discovering places you may want to return to. The palace of the Thurn and Taxis family is well worth a visit (guided tours three times a day). The claim is that the palace has as many rooms as Buckingham Palace!

The town is small but very pleasant and clean. I recommend it for a long weekend. Munich is close (about an hour away), and there is a good connection between the two cities. They often have interesting events in town that are worth visiting. I wasn't impressed with the food.

General walkability of the town.

General walkability of the town. Pretty houses, interesting boutiques. The opera at Bregenz and boat trip to go there from Lindau were magical. We ate twice in the restaurant on the terrace outside the Lindauerhof hotel and liked its menu and flexible approach. Ate once in Karisma - excellent. We liked morning coffee in the Cantinetta with lovely uninterrupted views of the lake. Aperitifs and people-watching, and buskers outside the Bayerischer hotel. Very helpful advice from an Englishwoman in the Tourist Office. The Bodensee free travel pass was great. We liked the Hotel garni Brugger's friendly atmosphere and its location

The lovely town Füssen.

The lovely town Füssen. An excellent hotel Sonne was located in the heart of the lovely town of Füssen, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, bars, caffe and shops. Neuschwanstein Castle is only a 10-minute drive away. Our room on the 4th floor had a wonderful view of Füssen Castle, there is a local museum, located in the castle. The best restaurant at our opinion is RIWA.

We have been staying at this hotel for many years.

We have been staying at this hotel for many years. They have never disappointed us. Ideal location close to Munich Airport, yet very quiet. Delicious traditional Bavarian food in their restaurant. Always a special treat to enjoy dinner there. Excellent variety at breakfast. Rooms are super clean, well appointed, quiet, recently renovated. Ample (free) parking. Professional, friendly staff who speak English.

This is a historic walled city.

This is a historic walled city. It is a pleasure to walk the streets and enjoy the shops. Also join the "Night Watchman" tour that meets in the town square at dusk. Also, Katie Wolfharts Christmas store is incredible.
