The immediate reaction is a pretty, hill top white painted village topped with a fort. However only one shop (which did try to hold everything you might need) and two restaurants, neither of which came up to expectations. There is a swimming pool which did not exactly inspire and there is a bullring. Views from the village were spectacular. Parking in the village, especially for apartments, was difficult and not always possible.

Spectacular village perched on mountainside. Great views. Perfect for hiking but don't expect trails to be flat! Very tranquil...don't visit if you wish to party. Position of historic castle above village is quite awe inspiring.

Charming town at the top of a hill nestling underneath the castle. Its a very windy road to the top, albeit in very good condition, so be prepared if you're not a good traveller! Lots of steep hills and steps in the town so not good for those with mobility issues. Very quaint houses and the views are amazing. The castle operates its own opening times despite what it says on the website, so if you particularly want to see inside its probably a good idea to phone ahead to check they'll be open. We walked up to visit, and it was closed!! However, the views were well worth the ramble!

Fantastic location high up hill (mountain?), several historic buldings topped by renovated castle. Superb views. Great base for walking and scenic drives. Good information available from Tourist Office - when you can catch it open. Official hours on the door are no indication!
The 3 restaurants take it in turns to open during the week (this was in May), enjoyable food and good views possible. Lots of game on the menus. Food at Mesa Segurena was out-of-the-ordinary, more 'gastro'.

everything! what a wonderful hotel, it is decorated so beautifully, lighting extraordinary, bath with light super cool. bed super comfy. the staff is so friendly and helpful, they are absolutely amazing. the breakfast is great with very fresh fruits, great omelet, delicious cinnamon roll. the location perfect, views wow. when going to segura de la sierra, this is the place where you want to stay, it is perfect!! thank you so much ramon and george, you are awesome!
We came back to this fabulous apartment and location.
The apartment was good and had an equipped kitchen with utensils you might need to cook a quick meal, coffee, etc. the apartment we choose this year was smaller, still clean and cozy. the location is very good. Apartment equipped with Air conditioning. Segura de la Sierra is a beautiful village.
The view from the balcony was stunning. We are definitely coming back.
The hotel is a very well renovated/ newly integrated part integrated into the very old building part; creating harmony with the existing structure. However, the place is packed with all niceties when it comes to electric installations and has a very reliable internet connection. Staff was attendive and friendly, breakfast items were of superior quality and hand picked.

Segura de la sierra is a gem in Andaluzia, a perfect place for a long term relaxing stay.
The bakery and the grocery store are both simple but very good.
We also travelled with our two dogs and everything worked out perfectly.
The very comfortable room and its taste, everything was excellent. The staff were perfect. Especially the view from the terrace. The only disappointment was that the weather was bad, but this is not the hotel's fault, I would like to spend more time there next time.
The hotel is finished to a very high standard. Very attentive service to the guests needs while also keeping an informal approach to allow you to relax and enjoy the location.
