Located 16 mi -45 minutes by car from Cazorla and right at the heart of the Cazorla Nature Reserve, in stunning natural surroundings, the Parador de Cazorla is perfect accommodations for a rural... This review is from Howard. The room was booked by my wife Catherine. This parador is in a stunning location at the top of the road, twenty minutes above Cazorla at 1300 metres elevation. My room was massive, really comfortable and with an amazing view. It was one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in, anywhere. On arrival, I paid an extra 10 euros per night for a room with a view. This was certainly money well spent! The breakfast was excellent, if a little pricey at 19 euros. I spent two nights here and had two evening meals, venison both times which was excellent. My only criticism was the quantity of vegetables with the venison. It was minimal and, on the second night, the total quantity amounted to two desert spoons only. Despite this, the quality of the food and the friendly service was excellent. I ate both my evening meals outside on the terrace, admiring the stupendous view …perfect! The staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Marina on the front desk was extremely helpful and gave me all the information I needed on the walking trails in the area and even had the Spanish instructions translated into English for me. She was a real standout. Moreover, she speaks excellent English. Brava Marina!

a stunning little town. very little English spoken. wonderful selection of bars restaurants and shops. A fabulous base for walking in the national park. we don't usually return to the same place more than once, Cazorla stole our hearts we will undoubtedly go back.
Cazorla is a very nice, historic little town between mountains surrounded with nature parks and endless olive tree yards. Walking in the town is up and down but not far in each direction. For those who prefer more cameral and quiet climates - lower downtown around Plaza Santa Maria is recommended. Centre around Plaza de la Constitucion is more busy and noisy with bars, restaurants and shops. Further uphill (to the north) the town changes to typical residential architecture 70-80's. Nothing special. Cazorla is perfect for 4-7 days stay. It's worth walk some of the trekking paths uphill the town and to visit the castle with a nice guide. Make a call to book day/time. Cazorla is unique because of its history and location. Also good base to explore not too far places without relocation every 2-3 days. The only drawback of Cazorla are limited public parking places. Very narrow streets does not make it easier. It's hard to find a parking place. But this is probably a problem during July-August high season. Once you get the place don't move if you don't have to. You can get everywhere walking. You should also spend 1-2 days outside Cazorla. Don't miss to drive to Rio Borosa which is about 1,5h drive a scenic road. There is big parking to leave a car and have walk on picturesque trekking path along the mountain river with many places to swim and to enjoy relaxing stops. It's also worth to visit Ubeda, another historical town, famous of ceramic craftworks and artists (like Paco Tito museum, workshop and shop), the Basilica, and more. Check on Tripadvisor.
A stunning little town with the most amazing views to the mountains beyond the Moorish castle. Lots of excellent places to eat and drink, and while these depend on business from tourists they are mostly authentic taverns serving regional specialities, and popular with locals as well as visitors. Everyone seems very friendly. A centre for hill walking and wildlife watching - I didn't have time during my brief visit, but I intend to go back and explore the area properly.
Beautiful place and the tourist train was well worth it. The long scarey drive to Torre del vinagre was a disappointment though. Road very narrow and dangerous drivers make it unpleasant. Arroyo frio makes the trip worth it and the food there is wonderful.
The old town is beautiful. The most famous scenic places are VERY touristy. BOOK AHEAD for Parque Cinegético de la Sierra de Cazorla Train. Plenty of lovely walks and visit Ubeda while you´re there. Food is reasonably priced despite it being very touristy.
Very pretty area with plenty of places of interest to visit. Good for walking with good information boards about the variety of walks and degree of difficulty with approx timings. There is a good selection of bars with local produce and tapas a plenty. The area is famed for its local olive oil and honey, both equally delicious. The streets are very narrow throughout most of the village and can make for some very testing driving skills.
The room was extremely comfortable, with a spectacular view over the entire valley. The spa was amazing, very clean and a tremendous variety of areas to enjoy. The Christmas dinner was just wonderful and the staff were so caring and cheerful, looking after our celiac and vegetarian requirements.

Cazorla
Roger and Diana were such lovely hosts. Beautiful garden area behind the apartment with a table to eat at. Gorgeous mountain backdrop. Spacious clean apartment. Very well stocked kitchen. Everything you need for a great family or couple stay.
Very helpful staff, good info about all major sites and hiking trails in the area. A few parking spaces available in front of hotel for free or on street. Nice, clean and good rooms. Restaurant and bar on ground floor.
There was a indoor parking for motorbikes included in the price with direct access to the hotel. The surrounding mountain areas with serpentine roads and stunning sceneries are a paradise for motorbikers.
We wanted a cheap, clean, basic room as a base to explore Cazorla and that is exactly what we had. Easy parking, good wifi, friendly owner, no real problems. It did the job and we would stay again.
Cazorla
There was lots of space. Good for a family. Or several people. The parking was also a bonus. We needed to be able to park a car.
The property was a good size for our group and in a good location on edge of the town of Cazorla.
The massage, spa and especially the floatarium were great.
A very welcoming and nicely run hotel.
All was fine at the hotel.
