everything. my wife and I were suffering from a severe cold. the concierge, Anna Marie was fantastic. she helped making me a breakfast tray, she brought extra towels, & did everything she could to make it better.

The maison is in a quiet town that has interesting history and lovely hiking trails and easy access to other small historic hamlets. There are four rooms and a small efficiency cottage. The room was very clean, quiet and had efficient WiFi. The bathroom was exceptionally modern and always clean. The room and bathroom were swept and beds were made up every day. The price is very reasonable compared to what we would have to pay in the USA.
The host are a lovely young couple with a child. They were very helpful and informative of directing us to lovely spots in the country side such as Les Rennes Chateaux and Les Bains du Rennes. This is there first time in this business.

The owner/proprietress was very helpful and friendly. She went out of the way to make her guests feel welcome, and she ensured their comfort. I wish I had known ahead of my stay that meals were available at the property because restaurant selections were limited in Esperaza. I would definitely stay here again on anther visit to Esperaza. It's within easy walking distance of the town center.

Excellent, hearty breakfast (eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, etc.). The hosts were very welcoming and prepared a delicious 3-course dinner (to be reserved beforehand). We were the only ones in the gite so it was very quiet on New Year's Eve. The village has a great bakery down the road. We stayed in the Jasmine room - spacious and comfortable bed.
The bathroom for Jasmine is big (not ensuite but located right next to the bedroom within a private hallway). Suitable for handicapped visitors.
La Maison de la Riviere B&B is located in Espéraza, opposite the Aude River. A continental breakfast is served every morning, and free WiFi access is available in the rooms.

It’s a very comfortable, spacious room with a balcony overlooking the river. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I’m so grateful for the nice towels too!

Couiza, the town, is a sleepy town, felt a bit empty of life. Limited options for dining (a couple restaurants and a bar). Still I'd return if only for the Chateau and to drive the nearby country roads!
The restaurant was worth 11 on a scale of 0-10. No need to look for food elsewhere - in fact a(nother) reason to stay at the hotel in our opinion. Aside from the regular menu the chef created fabulous meals upon request for my wife who has dietary restrictions. The gluten free rolls were a delight.
The staff was very friendly and attentive and hotel itself is in an old castle with a courtyard, so the athmosphere is just as it should be. Ample parking is available if you're travelling by car.
The Hotel is stunning and the staff / owners are just amazing. The most friendly and tentative hotel owner we had the pleasure of meeting through the whole of France. Can't fault the hotel itself in anyway and the stunning grounds next to the river are beautiful.
The overall ambience of the hotel made you feel special from the moment you arrived. Whilst it's not the most modern, it felt welcoming. The restaurant in the castle grounds was intimate and friendly with the staff going the extra mile to please .
