The room was comfortable ,spacious and well soundproofed from the pub below.
Plenty of tea and coffee in the room plus a telephone .
Provided all remains well on next visit, I would recommend the Wetherspoon franchise, Bath arms over the so called popular hotels.

The hosts were very generous, letting us shower in their house when the hot water wasn't working in the barn (this isn't normally an issue!) homemade bread and jam and a coffee machine in the barn for breakfast, such a lovely touch! And a great location, very close to the Ridgeway for cycling/hiking. A good stop for those cycling the King Alfred's Way
Lovely rural setting with local pub and farm shop nearby.
Lovely rural setting with local pub and farm shop nearby. Would advise prebooking Three daggers if you want a meal. Beautiful local church. There are several good NT properties nearby to visit as well as some pretty market towns and Bath. Plenty local walk for dog owners look available too
