Nothing at all.. was a disaster of a place. Was greeted with there's your key your rooms upstairs. Not told about check out or breakfast times..We were not told about the late night dj who played loud dance music till 2am and was just below our window which was single pane glass. We were then inundated with loud screaming swearing and shouting and fighting outside the hotel. This went on for a further 1hr 30 minutes. At this point it was now 3.30am and no sleep. We both finally got an hour of sleep and the morning staff Came on shift and stood below our window and were having full on loud conversations which woke both myself and my partner. Wouldn't recommend staying at this establishment at all. I will be seeking a full refund.

The facilities around the Belfry were non existing the shower we were offered was way to small anyone quite large would not have gotten in if you wanted to go out for evening meal you couldn't unless you drove somewhere and you wouldn't be able to have an alcoholic drink with it due to the country lanes drive back taxis don't exist until Thursday's at the earliest we only stayed one night and escaped thank god the money we paid doesn't matter to us and I think if you check your records you will see this for yourself I think you should remove this place from your list so no one else gets a booking that is misleading with incorrect information 😒😒😒

There is a pub, just over the road from the Belfry that shut (lease not being extended) on 09 Jul 22. However there are a number of pubs etc. just a short drive from the property.
Yarcombe is very small, there is a church and on a Saturday morning a small market in the village hall, which we went round and there were some nice things to purchase.

Small village. Church opposite the accommodation.
Small village. Church opposite the accommodation. On main road with easy access to tourist destinations. Lots of local pubs for evening meals are often down very narrow country lanes which can make driving adventurous.

We had a wonderful weekend away at the Yarcombe.
We had a wonderful weekend away at the Yarcombe. We were greeted by the really friendly owner, who showed us around and to our lovely room. Room was spacious with a beautiful old window and large oak bed. With a lovely view. Some decoration was a little tired but it added to the character really. It’s an old building so I would have been disappointed if it had been perfectly modern. We had a key to the front door so could come and go as we pleased. It’s set in beautiful countryside and the road that ran past was not too busy and we had no noise disturbance at all. We had a meal at the candlelight inn on the Friday night which I’d booked after looking at other reviews, we weren’t disappointed, the meal was fabulous! We visited beer, and completed the coastal walk to Branscombe and Seaton on the Saturday. Even seeing a peregrine falcon, a snake and some beautiful butterflies, we had our final day at Lyme Regis. The Yarcombe was in a perfect place to visit these places. The breakfast was sublime, I can not fault it at all..amazing locally sourced ingredients and great choice and service. We would definitely like to visit again. Value for money was excellent.
The owners were most charming and welcoming. My room was on the ground floor and was warm and inviting. The room itself and the ensuite were of a high standard and very clean. Breakfast was scheduled for 8am but the owners kindly cooked it at 7.30. It was outstanding, cleanly cooked and a full English breakfast. I went wanting for nothing. Thank you so much. Although the hotel is located next to a main road and a church, at night I heard nothing beyond the double glazing and slept peacefully in a very comfortable bed.
Clean, comfy rooms with all you need. Quality bathroom products, strong shower and a very comfy bed. The owners are friendly, helpful (even providing a list of the best places to eat in the area in the room on arrival) and produce one of the best breakfasts you can get.
Yarcombe is quiet and some of the local roads are a bit tight to drive along. Small, picturesque village with lots of history, including The Belfry
Our breakfast was extremely tasty and we felt very Covid safe being served through the hatch. The historical connection to Sir Francis Drake was fascinating and we loved visiting the 13c church opposite the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and the shower was exceptional. Sadly we had to leave a little earlier than planned but we were delighted that we were not charged for the extra night. That was so kind.
The breakfast was really great, although it was functional to have it served through a hatch it does mean you don’t have the rapport with the staff that you get if they actually bring it to you.
You collect it from the hatch and they call you.
Other than that very small comment, the staff were very friendly. The hotel is really excellent and has character. Would def recommend!
I loved the comfort and style of this hotel. The shower was impressively powerful . I was doing my whistle-stop tour of England visiting family and this was by far the best hotel.
The village is a very typical picture postcard english village . A perfect base to explore Devon and Dorset.
