A small place in the Gacka River valley is surrounded by beautiful nature.
Environment the Gacka River is a pearl for itself.
There is lot of places for stay. In place are few markets, cofee shops and restaurants.
A nicely and modernly equipped small apartment on the ground floor of a new house is located in a quiet part of Otočac and is an ideal place for sightseeing the beautiful surroundings, rich in the natural beauty of the river Gacka and the nearby slopes of North Velebit.
Tip: be sure to try the pizza at one of the best pizzerias in Croatia, the nearby pizzeria Ruspante in Sinac (a fifteen-minute drive from the apartment). The pizzeria is located near the most beautiful spring in Gacka - Majer's spring!
Although Barbara was not listed to have breakfast, the young host offered to make breakfast, since no where in town was open. For E15, for two of us, we were served a sumptuous breakfast! Eggs to order, lots of chees & meat, plenty of fruit, breads, cappuccino. We’ll worth the price. A delightful stay. We were on our way from Krka National Park to Rovinj on the Istria Peninsula. Definitely recommend “Barbara”!
The hosts' welcome was absolutely great. They met us at the house and made us feel at home. They went out of their way to ensure that we had a great stay. The house is lovely, close to the wonderful river Gacka (kayak rental just 5min away) and the kids loved playing / reading in the garden around the house after a day visiting sites. It is also less than an hour a way from Plitvice National Park.
Extremely nice personel, authentic village house with farm animals, the kids loved that! They suprised is with cold water anf beer in the fridge and bio eggs to make breakfast this was very helpful and nice. The house is well equipped with all you need for a stay. Even foodnin the kitchen. Wifi properly working, parking available next to the house. Everything so much better as expected thank you!
Everything was absolutely fabulous. The apartment was tastefully decorated, fully equipped, and immaculate. Mariana, the owner even put 2 beers, a small box of Lindt chocolates, and a fresh flower on the table for us. There is a beautiful garden with a built-in barbecue and patio furniture, and secure parking right outs6the apartment door. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
Our host, very friendly and welcoming, offered us local rakija and a pack of homegrown raspberries that waited for us in the fridge. All you might forgot at home you'll find in the apartment: toilet, intimate care and laundry accessories... Great value and location right in the center of Otočac.
We really enjoyed our short but very comfy stay at s&d house! House is located in the coutryside of Otočac, is fully equipped and hosts are really kind and helpfull. We recommend the house if you want to visit Gacka Valley, Velebit and Bear Sanctuary.
Clean apartment, on calm charming location in village, but conviniently near Otocac centre. There is nice garden in front. Hosts are very friendly and hospitality is on high level.
Big plus is also very sweet and friendly dog Nora :)
good rest stop between Bled Lake and the Dalmation coast and close enough to Plitvice park that we took a half day visit there. Also excellent restaurant in town right on the river with local dishes. Parking was adequate and covered.
