I expected a beach area with a south pacific vibe. Instead it was a theme park. We couldnt use the beach that the hotel overlooked because it was closed and had to walk 2 beaches over. Very disappointed.

Chatan is an ideal location for people visiting family...
Chatan is an ideal location for people visiting family members in the military. It's very close to most of the bases, and has a wide selection of hotels. There is public transportation, but It's very walkable (in most areas). We felt very safe walking around. The America Village there has lots of shops, restaurants and bars. There were three or four beaches that we saw.

There are several restuarants and a Family Mart within a block of the hotel. Location is a 5min walk to American Village. The hotel is quiet and we never heard noises from the other patrons.
