They wrote in booking that they are 400 m from the center. This is not true. They are 1.5 km from the center. Also my first nught there was heavy smoke smell in my room. and the windows didnt close well since they were old.

I stayed at Win Hotel for a few nights and had the best time! First, the room — I loved the décor, the stunning views, and most importantly, it was super clean and fully equipped with everything I needed. Secondly, the location couldn’t be better. Right next to the night market and just a 2-minute walk to Gary’s Irish Bar! Everything I needed was within easy reach. And lastly, the staff — they were super friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay at Win Hotel again!

    There is a great variety of experiences on offer which for us as an older group included canoeing, swimming at blue lagoons 3 and 4, enjoying the restaurants in the town particularly Happy Mango, walking up Nam Xay Viewpoint, tubing and paramotoring. Be aware that in March when we visited that there is a lot of smoke in the air which obscures the view of the beautiful karst countryside.

    The cave nearby and the river are very good tourist spots. There isn’t much otherwise in the town itself that warrants a long stay. We had one night (afternoon and evening) in Vang Vieng as we were travelling from Vientiane to Luang Prabang and it was enough.

    We managed to fill in the 3 days with a walking, climbing...

    We managed to fill in the 3 days with a walking, climbing hills and exploring some easily accessible caves. Many of the activities are designed for young people so apart from what we did, there is not much else to do. Certainly for older and less mobile people it would not be an easy place to visit.

    2 days enough.

    2 days enough. Having been twice before, it is in a sad state, if it wasn't for the adventure stuff, the town would be no more. So incredibly sad to see the decline. Once a beautiful place, now , dirty, dusty, overflowing with litter and rubbish. The constant burning off has made it a healthy Hazzard, and causing the mountains to be enveloped in haze .

    Enjoyed the stay and participation in activities offered in location. Hot air balloon 🎈 and motorised paragliding as recommended and organised for me by hotel management were great. Plenty of choices for food within walking distance.

    You really only need two or three days max but it’s stunning scenery and there are a ton of nature/adventure activities to experience. The night market/city itself is not that special but the surroundings are unreal.

    Dok Champa hotels at great prices The rooms are very clean and clean. The bathroom is also huge and all conditions are working well for the new high pressure water hotel built in 2023. The location is a 3-5 minute walk from the Vang Vieng main street. The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable, accommodating and always ready to give you the best guide to your visit to Vang Vieng. Breakfast is included in the room price. You can book ticket and the scooter at the hotel. If you want to stay in Vang Vieng, I recommend Dokchampa.

    The rooms were excellent, we stayed in both the twin room and the double room on different nights. Both rooms were lovely, clean and felt well maintained, they were also both a very good size. The staff were really helpful and we were able to book a scooter through them for a good price. I would go so far as to say that this was the best hotel we have booked in Laos so far, and possibly all of Southeast Asia.

    You get a free drink if you leave a good review on Hostelworld, Booking or Google. That's why reviews are so positive but short. That gives a wrong impression of the Hostel. Don't get me wrong the stay was good but there are definitely cheaper and better options on Vang vieng.
