Booked for a night, to take a break from driving and rest, with not a lot of expectations. However, the property exceeded our expectation. The location was great, clam and by the river. Evening walk by the river was a pure bliss. We would definitely stay again if passing by.

In the middle of the alpine landscape this is a little oasis. When we first pulled up, it was swarming with people. I soon realized why - this is the only cafe/restaurant for literally miles (this seems to be a thing in Norway). I was a little worried about the traditional decor and how comfy it would be. All I can say is that the beds were supremely amazing - I slept like a baby. The restaurant was also a secret surprise - I had mountain trout and potatoes for dinner. It was AMAZING and the best meal of the trip. The full cost for two main dishes, 2 wines, one beer, one basket of bread was $64 USD. Lastly, there are walking/biking paths that connect directly to the hotel. I would have spent more time here! The breakfast was also quite filling - breads, meats, eggs, fruit and of course, salmon!
