This hotel is a new fav!!! I traveled with 2 kids alone and the staff was so friendly and helpful! I love that I asked for a bit of a later checkout being from out of town and have our schedule rearranged a bit and they had no problem letting my girls and I stayed until after noon! Breakfast was amazing, the restaurant on site was great, will definitely stay here a thousand times over!

This was just an overnight on a trip, so we weren't visiting...
This was just an overnight on a trip, so we weren't visiting because of the town. However, it is a small town with a nice small park with a gazebo and a couple sculptures. The main street is only a few blocks long so it was easy to stroll around the entire downtown area. A number of stores looked abandoned but, sadly, that it not unusual for small towns all across the country, so I can't fault it for that.

Tiny town with a few decent restaurants.
Tiny town with a few decent restaurants. Not much shopping. Downtown looked pretty desolate. But, if you are traveling eastbound and stopping overnight, you dont have to deal with Bloomington traffic in the morning.

LeRoy was great. The hotel stay and staff was awesome!
LeRoy was great. The hotel stay and staff was awesome! They recommended a pizza delivery place that was top notch. Leroni’s pizza even brought paper plates and napkins! The negative experience was with booking.com - we booked the room when we were an hour away from the hotel and received 2 emails confirming the booking of the room and a text to my phone, yet when we arrived at the hotel, the staff did not have a room reserved. They checked the dates and time arriving in the email messages which were correct, but still had no room request after having us wait in the lobby for 10 more minutes. The hotel staff apologized for the 3rd party hotel booking, and gave us a room they had left. They said when the booking.com reservation comes through to their computer system that they would cancel it. The hotel staff says that it is always better to call them direct and they would honor the internet price.
