    The hotel is a rather old building that has been repurposed. It is quite charming. Because of the age, the doorways are a bit short, under 2 meters - about 6 feet. The staff were very nice.

    Everything was absolutely perfect! The room is super cosy and clean. All the equipment we needed was available (fridge, microwave, AC, etc.) and the terrace was great for chilling and dining. Finally, the staff was welcoming and profesionnal. We fully recommend the Hostal boutique 53.

    Nice hotel in a charming old colonial house within the historic district of Santo Domingo. Fantastic location! Room was basic, but good value for money. The Haitian staff spoke excellent French in addition to Spanish, were helpful and friendly, and helped arrange onward transport. Simple but tasty breakfasts of cheese+ham omelets.

    Is right in the center of the city, so its easy to get around. Room was cozy, clean and charming. Staff is absolutely amazing (they even brought to my room the deliveries I ordered, so I didn't have to go down).
