Located in Iðunnarstaðir, 27 miles from Thingvellir National Park, Basalt Hotel provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The hot tub is very nice. Breakfast was varied, we loved the vegan yogurt!

Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge, as well as a sauna and a hot tub.... cozy accommodation in a top structure, ideally located. The hotel is very well equipped, with all sort of comfort at a very high level. Modern equipment in a design traditionally rooted, easy to use. Very clean, with a particular attention to details. Environmental policy is one of the priorities, well-done!! Really friendly and helpful personnel. The village and the harbor are pearls. Next to a charger for electric cars, few steps to the famous herring museum, the church and the bakery. Highly recommended hotel.

The simple, minimalistic, nordic design pondered by the stylish materials used are superb. The stuff was very nice and helpful. The amenities are almost perfect (maybe one or two more hot tubs would be useful).

Set 17 mi from Hella and 7.5 mi from Laugaland, Landhotel features a garden, bar and free WiFi. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. The staff was really kind and helpful. The receptionist who was there upon our arrival, shows us on the map what we can do because the weather conditions wasn’t good for the things that we have planed to do. The food in the restaurant was good and also the breakfast has many options to choose. The bed was comfortable and we have a huge window right across in order to see the sky. Till now it was the best hotel in Iceland!

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodations 3.1 mi from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Superb location, beautiful rooms and the most fabulous staff !!! The meals were fantastic as was the service. Such a peaceful stay.

Located in Gardur, Lighthouse-Inn offers accommodations with free WiFi and a garden with a sun terrace and sea views. All units feature air conditioning and a satellite flat-screen TV. This is my 2nd year staying here. Each rooms feels and looks like a log cabin. Beautiful Inn just perfect to spit the Northern Lights. Breakfast is amazing. Log cabin feel with hints of urban industrial design equals stellar venue in my book.
