Located in Akureyri, 24 miles from Godafoss Waterfall, Hotel Halond has accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. The rooms come with a patio. Everything was so much better than expected! We had some issues with getting into the room, reservation etc, and everything was solved so smooth, they answered instantly. The room had fantastic facilities, even en-suite fridge, great bathroom, nice terrace. SUPER quiet. Hottubs were a big plus! Also, the common kitchen... just overall 10/10.

Located in Iðunnarstaðir, 27 miles from Thingvellir National Park, Basalt Hotel provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. the hotel was prefect located for our trip. the place is amazing in all aspects. the view, the comfortable rooms, the price, the hot-tub outside, the dining room with the view, and the team which was kind and very open for requests. Breakfast was quite basic but good enough for all of us! my wife and 4 kids climbed on the mountain in front of the hotel for morning astonishing adventure.

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodations 3.1 mi from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Wonderful location on the lake. Hiking paths. Beautiful spot.

The beds were extremely comfy and the room was beautiful + warm!! The staff were super friendly, especially the nice woman working the night shift, she shared great insight on how to view the northern lights. Walking distance from Geysir and we was the beautiful aurora there! I just rebooked because we had to come back before going home!!
