The staff was very polite and very helpful. They were willing to help at any circumstances. The room was very clean and the cleaning process took place every 2 days. The location is very good and it is 10 minutes walk from the closest PATH station. It is very useful that there is breakfast from buffet included in the price.

The hotel is a bit older, but very clean, and that is important. The breakfast was absolutely sufficient for me. The staff were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is a little scary, but I was never scared. This was my fourth time at this hotel and certainly not my last. 5 minutes to PATH station and 10 minutes with the train to the World Trade Center or 20 minutes to the 33rd street. Supermarkets and food within walking distance

The location was perfect. It was quite part of Manhattan whereas so accessible to every other main locations of new York. There were 3-4 subway stations just walking distance to the hotel. The history of the hotel was another attractive point that it was kept in its original form like the cabins and captains rooms. The hospitality of the staff there was so good. I loved how cheerful and helpful they all were. Shannon was my favourite part of the reception. Such a joyful person. I am coming back for that dinner, Shannon 😁 definitely staying again at Jane's 💕

Good value for money. Tea/coffee/juices available throughout the day. Comfortable beds. Great staff members. Close to a shopping area, with Aldi (thrice or even four times less expensive than in NYC), Shop Rite, GAP and a well equipped fitness center ($10 entry fee). You pay no taxes in Jersey City, so the price on the shelf is the final price you pay. That is why loads of New Yorkers come her for their weekly or monthly supplies. The "breakfast" which is provided by the hotel is just water and a few sweet snacks in a paper bag and it's meant that way. It is really unfortunate that some people complain about that. With all the quality products from Aldi, you can prepare your own proper meal. The elevators do not always work properly but you can get used to that and it is not a problem at all:) As far as public transport goes, it is really easy to get from and to Manhattan (white vans go form Port Authority stop at 41st Street- $3,50). You can always use a regular bus at $4,50 - depart form the upper level at Port Authority building. The vans stop along the main road so there is no stress you'll be late. Besides, there will probably be people waiting for it every time you want to catch it. It takes 5-8 minutes to get to the stop, and the area is absolutely safe, although looks quite rough. On the whole, the hotel is a really good choice if you don't want to spend al lot on accommodation and eat good quality food for a fraction of what you would normally pay downtown. Affordable, pleasant, conveniently located, easy to get to. Definitely one of the best options to choose.
