Wonderful old house in a similarly old town. Our hostess was most amiable and helpful, both in providing us with information and a delightful stay. She spoke fluently in English and en Français.
14 miles from Parc Omega in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Maison sur la plage provides accommodations with access to a hot tub. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking, and free Wifi....

The host met us to show us how to access the house and give us a little tour. The house is so delightfully secluded that the tour was much appreciated!
Wonderful stay, beautiful grounds, amazing lobby, many activities for family, had a great massage.
Did: curling, squash, board games, snowshoeing, hike, tubing, swimming, whirlpool..
Love the dog-friendly environment, and many nice dogs in lobby.
Restaurant good, but remember a fuller breakfast buffet, and also a table d'hote option for dinner, no longer offered.
Try the Bistro in Montebello villate, amazing! The one that says 'pizza ou four' (wood oven pizza) in window.
Older rooms are a bit tired, if you want the old charm, but I understand likely awaiting renovation.
Miss the old La Seignorie bistro in the hotel, hopefully it opens again.
Miss the running tube lift! Seems this activity may be on the way out?

A beautiful, historic town that stands out.
A beautiful, historic town that stands out. Really worth a visit here and to explore the beauty of the town and surrounding area. Perfect place to come for a short vacation. Love the way they have information plaques displayed on the heritage houses and buildings. Makes it accommodating to walk, read, learn and appreciate the time that has gone into the historical research.

Montebello is a convenient destination - less than 2 hours drive from Montreal you can even go for just a day tour! But if you plan to stay, I would suggest you book a hotel/motel somewhere at Notre Dame Street because it's close to everything. You can drive or walk around and you will see there's a Fromagerie who sell a wide array of local cheeses and you can also try artisan chocolates at Chocomotive. For brunch you should go to Le Cafe Entre Amis; we were in for a surprise because it exceeded our expectations, the food was fresh and delicious! Last but not the least, don't miss the Parc Omega it surely is a fun activity for kids! Don't forget to bring carrots!

Auberge Montebello is only a few minutes away from Omega Park. It's a family-operated hotel and restaurant which provided a nice atmosphere and a pleasant stay. Everything was fine, including an excellent authentic Indian dinner delivered right to our room, except for the terrible coffee and a lack of a microwave in the room.

We're not new to Montebello. We've been there many times. We always enjoy coming back for the friendliness of the staff, for the excellent cuisine, for the accommodations, for the location, the activities and the countryside, more particularly for the blend of yesteryears' rustic melded with today's modern conveniences.
The dinner was outstanding. We were celebrating my wife's Birthday.
BRAVO!

Looks like they have many activities for everyone in the summer and winter. The fall and spring would have fewer activities it appears. The indoor swimming pool was well used based on the traffic. Outdoor areas were packed up or stacked to be put away for the winter. Card and board games, movies and events were arranged on the two rainy days we had at the venue. Trails were well travelled and easy strolls. Umbrellas were provided to those who wanted one at the front door. Staff were friendly, polite and seemed happy to be working there.
We loved this place. It was like a museum with many artifacts lining the hallways. There is a long history to this house/school turned into a hotel that you can read about on the front plaque outside. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. I would stay here again if I'm ever back in Montebello. It's right in town so easy to walk around and see the historical places in this beautiful town. The Ottawa River is not far from the hotel. A short walk and you can walk along the river path.
The staff were amazing and friendly, we were not notified our room was not going to be cleaned, the wear and tear on the room carpets were disappointing for what we paid for a room, water damage in the hallway ceiling. We love the area we hope to come back some day. My opinion "for a Fairmont hotel the place should be pristine". We want you to succeed it is an awesome place. Thank you.
The Hotel was on the Main Street of Montebello, perfect location for walking, everything on hand, shops, restaurants, bars. Hotel was clean with great facilities, the lady on Reception was brilliant and very helpful, even made us a coffee before we left. Stayed here over night because we were visiting Omega Parc and didn’t want the drive back, glad we did Montebello is a lovely Town.
Wonderful owners - very friendly and accommodating. The 3 course breakfasts were fantastic! Cute town with everything within walking distance. Good location to drive to other sights. Be sure to take their suggestion and book your dinners ahead of time - the local restaurants book up fast!
The breakfast was exceptional, even with freshly made waffles. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The hotel was within walking distance of shopping possibilities as well as restaurants and recreational walks to the river. The proprietors were very friendly and accommodating.
The place is very good. We felt like in an all-inclusive. My girls loved the pool and especially the playground. You can play tennis, walk on small trails and there's a beautiful golf course. The restaurants are really good, especially the BBQ outside. We ate very well.
Friendly couple ran the hotel which was nicely located in the charming town of Montebello. Gave us good recommendations for dinner. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, including chai and fresh waffles!
The hotel is beautiful like a museum. The service was amazing. Lots of activities. Dog friendly. The breakfast was super tasty. Dinner was good ,but could be better. My kids loved kids menu option though.
nice room, very fast cleaning service, ninja cleaning lady, didn’t leave the room long and came back to a clean room. nice location, in the middle of the town, can walk easily to restaurants around it.
The breakfast is top tier. Definitely worth it just for that. But the decor and just overall ambience of the venue is amazing. And it feels like it's a hidden gem of Montebello.
great location, lots of parking, walkable to restaurants and shops, great Indian dinner provided on weekends, pleasant and spacious breakfast area, close to hiking trails
Montebello. Good option for cycle touring. Secure bike storage. Fairly comfortable bed. Very clean!
Shampoo. No conditioner. Coffee pot and coffee for morning.
