Great location to get to Saint Malo, Cancale, and Mont Saint Michel. Also easy parking on Parking Murets (on Rue des Murets) accessed by about 20 steps to the building with the apartment. Unfortunately, the Cathedral in Dol-de-Bretagne is being renovated along with the area surrounding it. Therefore, a bit tricky to walk about (esp. with luggage). May also be a bit dusty in the neighborhood if you are sensitive!

Dol is a beautiful medieval village. The main street has many bars, restaurants and creperies and we had an excellent meal during our stay. The village itself only really has about a day's worth if interest. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the advantage of being only 20 minute's drive from the ferry terminal in St Malo.

Small, beautiful and quite town.
Small, beautiful and quite town. People are really friendly and there are small restaurants where you can have delicious traditional dishes. Edd hostel is surprisingly well positioned - just 2 minutes of rom the train station but quite, neat and well organized. Ideal place as a base from where to visit all places of attraction like Saint Malo, Cancale, Mont San Michele, Dinan and other amazing cities around.

A delightful, medieval town with a very lively Saturday market. Accommodation can be difficult to find so best to book in advance. Some very good restaurants, particularly La Grabotais. Not easy walking if mobility a problem. Flat outskirts, particularly to the north for cycle rides. Mont Dol, northwest of the town is attractive. Also the coastal paths through Cherrueix, excellent for cycling. Easy to reach Mont St Michel and St Malo by bike within a morning / a few hours. Some hills if going to St Malo.

I visited in April this year - and thought the place was looking a bit tired and a number of shop units were vacant. However - 6 months later - possibly because of a good summer - Dol was both vibrant and looked to have had a bit of a 'makeover'?In my view it was back to its best and whether its down to the civic authorities or the local traders - the investment has been well directed

We were lucky to catch a free concert in the Cathedral, it was Breton music and it just filled the space, magical
The museum of Cathedral building through the centuries was really interesting but yet again the amount of history and fantastic building in Dol were a beautiful sight

The high street has lost a bit of character and quality since we last visited 10 years ago. Nonetheless it is very handily placed being just off the motorway and 2 hours drive from Cherbourg. Nice views of Mont Dol and there are some interesting parts of town.

Dol-de-Bretagne isa regular first stop on any visit to Brittany and I was pleased with my first stay in this accommodation. The owner is developing other accommodation on the property but my room met my needs perfectly. Probably "no frills" but a very acceptable stopover and a decent breakfast. The host is extremely personable and helpful. Being within striking distance of this historic and charming town a distinct bonus.

Hosts were very kind. Breakfast was beautifully served with local products and fresh fruits. Coffee very tasty. This manor is old and full of history but very well protected including a nice garden. Dol-de-Bretagne is full of beautiful houses and places with nice food. Good fun :)
Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. There were two windows, allowing comfortable sleeping. The beds were very comfortable. The weekly market was set up in front of the hotel, which was fun. We chose Dol for the historic significance. It did not disappoint.
I had a jeep and a very big trailer great access and plenty of room to park in a secure park. An easy trip from there to Cherbourg for the Ferry. It is a motorway hotel so don't expect a restaurant or bar but plenty of facilities nearby.
Welcome, check in and breakfast were excellent. The room was fairly basic (as expected) but comfortable and very clean. Parking is free, but on street. We had no difficulty in finding a space close to the hotel
The hotel is 2,5 km. far from the City Center, the position is quiet and it was easy to reach even Mont-Saint-Michel and Saint Malo. The room was clean and our hosts were kind and friendly. Good breakfast
A good place for a stop-over. The town has a fair number of tourists but it's not overcrowded; we found a lovely quiet bar near the cathedral. Parking just outside the hotel is very convenient.
