The staff were lovely and friendly and spoke good English. The location was great and so was the price. There is ample parking near the property as well which is a bonus and it was only a short walk into the beautiful town square.

It is a beautiful location with a house built over the stream. It used to be a mill for the nearby Castle in Monflanquin.

Our hostess was very friendly, and went out of her way to assist us. She is exceptionally knowledgable about Monflanquin, and its restaurants, shops, and surroundings, all of which was very helpful to us. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of fresh fruit, and the table is laid on the veranda with its gorgeous view. We also sat out there in the evenings and watched the house martins swooping about. We were supplied with sheets for the hot nights, and fresh towels.

A beautiful little village, lovely scenic views.
The main square holds a little market on a Thursday selling fresh produce, wines and clothes etc. There are also a number of friendly restaurants.
It is easy to walk around the village but there are some steep pathways.
You will need to drive or take a taxi to travel to the next village

We were there to visit our son.
We were there to visit our son. We have been to Monflanquin many times, it is very historic with lovely buildings. Most magnificent views from the top. Downside is it has particularly steep side streets. One of the highest Bastides I should think. Most of the eating places are good.

Monflanquin is a beautiful village.
Monflanquin is a beautiful village. We stayed for four days and it couldn’t have been better . The people were fantastic and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There are fantastic medieval buildings and some of the best restaurants . Parking is easy and they have a farmers market on a Tuesday . We visited other villages close by but this was by far the best one.

A b b q area if we wished to use it and a fully equipped kitchen which could be used but the bbq as well as our room there was a library/sitting room that could also be used. Friendly hosts and were keen to make sure our stay was comfortable and we could relax, which we did

a delightful bastide town perched on a hilltop and visible for miles around, its quaint old houses, some with Roman foundations, all lead to a rather splendid central square with arches in which are tucked shops, restaurants, a town hall and more houses. Lots of see and do in the area and just 40 minutes from the delightful Bergerac airport.

A hilltop village with views all around.
A hilltop village with views all around. Place des Arcades very attractive - and very cool in hot weather under the arches. Musee des Bastides on the square very interesting and most information in English as well as French. Good tourist information office. Plenty of other places to visit in the area and events taking place if you're there at the right time. Square can be noisy in evenings but quiet by 11 p.m.
Fantastic, and well equipped accommodation. The pictures are as described. We were in the area for a wedding so pretty much only used the accommodation for sleeping. Had difficulty finding the place due to google maps but got there with the help of some friendly locals. 10 minute drive from the beautiful Chateau St Paul and about 5 minutes drive from the stunning town of Monflanquin. Didn't use the pool, but looked fantastic and would have used it if we had more time. Excellent stay, thank you very much
The gîte is in a quiet area close to Monflanquin and has countryside views. Communication with the owner was quick and easy and he supplied us with lots of helpful, interesting information about the gîte, the area and the surroundings prior to our stay. The gîte itself is well-equipped, well maintained and comfortable. The pool is wonderful and there are lots of sunny and shady places to relax around the pool and in the garden. Although the owners live on site, they were discrete and gave us complete privacy.

The apartment is perfectly located, a few seconds walk from the centre of Monflanquin. also very close to parking, shops, restaurants and the main road out of town. The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped for a short or longer stay. Karen was an wonderful host throughout our stay, and provided recommendations and assistance whenever asked.
We were welcomed warmly and offered the pool and a tour of the fascinating garden. Beautiful.
We arrived tired and found Montflanquin poor for restaurants. When we returned to the hotel, our host offered us something to eat, and produced a superb 3-course meal with wine, serving it on our terrace.
The breakfast was exceptional!
Lovely welcome and attentive service from the Owners - despite the language barrier, and this will be an amazing hotel once the investments are finished. It's a shame that the Owners bought this property the year before COVID so their investment plans have been hard hit.
We had a very nice week in Carole’s and Martin’s gite in the beautiful Lot et Garonne near Monflanquin.
Lovely decoration and very comfortable house. Nice sunny pool area.
And lots of things to discover in the area.
We recommend it!

Nice location with the river nearby and open green spaces. The patio was very comfortable with the table and chairs with umbrella. It was also very quiet which was lovely. Great swimming pool with a lot of loungers.
Beautiful self-catering apartments by the lake. Has all you need to cook for yourself with a nearby supermarket. Swimming pool is great and accessible from 9am to 8pm. About 20 mins walk to Monflanquin town.
