A great value for money hotel, really good evening meals available and breakfast was included! Everything was spotlessly clean. A great room, warm and cozy with shampoo, shower gel and a hairdryer! Tea coffee and biscuits

    Nice, quiet place to unwind.

Nice, quiet place to unwind. The breakfast was very well set-up and they had excellent choices for children too. The staff at check-in was friendly and welcoming however can't say the same for another during dinner and breakfast downstairs.

Although the hotel was charming in some respects, it lacked adiquate comfortable seating in the bar area. There are no pool tables as suggested in the description, and the bedroom we had was somewhat smaller than pictured. However! On the plus side the shower was wonderful! Breakfast was disappointing, only a continental option with the ham looking as though it had been out of the fridge for a day! The evening meal was just okay and very basic.

Glyn Ceiriog is a lovely little village a mile or so away . The Mulberry Inn is actually not there but the tiny village before called Dolywern . We ate at the hotel as I’d read good reports and also it was bitterly cold for going outside ! We were over in Wales for a funeral with little spare time . But managed to buy fresh trout to bring home from The Trout Farm nearby . Scenery is gorgeous

It is a beautiful charming area, the views are very good, and local sites of interest are within an easy commute in a car. there is Chirk castle, Horeshoe falls and of course the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, which is pronounced Pont – ker – sulth – tay,Welsh for the bridge that connects. There are some good hotels in the area, one being the Glyn Valley Hotel, which produces top food from a top chef.
