Spacious and comfortable room with excellent beds and air-con. Big beautiful trees surrounded large pool in peaceful rural setting. Chef Akile prepared delicious food eaten in elevated restaurant to catch the breeze. Highlight was the fun billiard/ pool comp with lovely hosts and other guests on Saturday night, as well as the temples and stupas we visited.

Nice hotel next to a water creek, a very relaxed atmosphere, kind and attentive host and personnel, delicious meals, comfy bed, hot water, AC worked perfectly, decent WiFi. It was 10 minutes by tuk-tuk to the city center and the Ancient City. Hasan was always checking if everything was okay, his wife and Hasan himself cooked delicious meals for me. Also, Hasan told me what to visit in the Ancient City, and arranged a safari and a day-trip to Polonnaruwa for me, which was very convenient.

The ancient locations are wonderful, Kaludiya Pokuna highly recommended for meditators, as are all the other locations, except Rajagiri Caves which are not nice at all, avoid the police at all costs, watch out for large vicious dog living in house to the left of large Buddha statue at the town level on promenade before staircase, keep an eye on little ones
