Durres is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. Beautiful Sandy beach and so many wonderful bars and restaurants to choose from. One of our favourite places to go to is The Fisherman’s Net. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and even remembered us from a previous visit back in April. The food is delicious and I was even asked to sample a new wine for free. Other places include Mediterra Bar and The Grill Father as well as our own hotel Diamond Hotel & Spa which has wonderful friendly staff and serves great food and drinks.AngelaUnited Kingdom - Scored 6.06.0

Durres is o.k for a quick visit and a couple days to hang out at the beach 2 nights is enough. The old town is really the New town with Lots of skyscrapers and high buildings apartments etc. Not much of historical Durres is left to admire. Better to stay near Durres beach where we were. Quite far to reach old town by bus then walk around.....looking back I would have just spent my time chilling at Durres beach and enjoying the local bars,fresh fish and eateries among the palms there.AndreaUnited Kingdom - Scored 1010

There are a lot of good places to eat, the boardwalk is great and entertaining. its very easy to get around and plenty of ice cream places the locals are beautiful and very friendly it has a lovely chilled vibe and is in my view the perfect holiday destination

Durres is a big seaside town with some ancient and medeival sightseeeing, what is really worth to see. There is a lot of beach, near to the city center too. Some are sandy and some are pebble beach. Two sunbed and one umbrella costs 10-15€ (on city center beaches in 2024 summer). There are a lot of restaurants on the beach promenade with various pricing. The deliciousness of the food is also variable, it is worth to searching for the reastaurant on the internet, before sitting down. Durres has the tipical "Balkan vibes" (disrepaired buildings, cracked pieces of sidewalks, irregularly parking cars, etc), but it is beautiful too, so if this Balkan feeling doesn't disturb you, it is really worth to visit.ZsófiaHungary - Scored 1010
