Location! Unfortunately, my early departure (6:15am) prevented me from enjoying the breakfast. The restaurant looked nice though. Quiet room. I liked how the room had a small area as you enter where you could sit, remove and keep your shoes. And since there are two doors from there that you can shut for the bathroom and the bedroom, it means that you have two doors between your bed and the hallway. Which means you are much less likely to hear people in the hallway. Smart idea!

Two full days is plenty of time to explore Berat.
Two full days is plenty of time to explore Berat. The castle is worth a visit maybe a taxi up and walk down as its very steep. The two bridges are nice to walk over and the view at night is wonderful. A nice reasonable restaurant is Friendly House the restaurant is upstairs and looks out over the river.

Berat is definitely on of the cool city on my list. It will be great to hire a tour guide for the explanation and exploration around the old castle area.
Based on the local suggestion, every year, there is an event called epiphany on Jan 6. It will be super good if you can witness this wonderful event.

Was very underwhelmed by Berat.
Was very underwhelmed by Berat. One big building site and litter everywhere. View is alright but nothing special. Not much to do. Very quiet in March but traffic already tough so wouldn’t want to be there in summer.
Only playground in the village was extremely dirty and many things were broken.

Beautiful view of the mountains, interesting castle, nice walks available. Very affordable. We ate at Pizza Visi and it was fresh and tasty (and very informal). We also took a great walking tour with Lazzaro.

This is a great place to stay. We could not imagine that we would be able to stay in such a cozy and beautiful place. This hotel has a large terrace where we had an incredible breakfast. Lemons and tangerines grow in the yard. We came from Siberia and it was a real shock for us!
The staff were very friendly and caring. Unfortunately we only stayed there for one night. I have a lot of videos and even a room-tour, but here I cannot attack.
if I have even one chance to visit Berat again, I will stay at Villa Arbi.
Thanks guys 🤍
Beautiful location within walking distance of every important sight in Berat. The host showed us true Albanian hospitality and made us feel like we were visiting family. The host was extremely passionate about his hotel and the guest experience, willing to help with any questions we had. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berat, if we ever come back to Albania we would book this hotel again without a doubt. We will never forget the amazing time we had here during our stay!
Wonderful guest house in the best possible location in Berat. Timo's family is welcoming, warm and they make you feel at home every moment during your stay perfect!! The breakfast was by far the best meal we had in Albania, everything prepared by them with local products, absolutely amazing. The views from the room were amazing and the rooms are huge, with extremely comfortable beds. I can't recommend more this hotel, wonderful experience!
Extremely friendly hosts, who just recently opened this beautiful hotel in the centre of Berat. The owners and staff did absolutely everything possible to make us feel comfortable, we even received an upgrade to a larger room. The typical albanian breakfast was really good and very filling. The entire hotel was very clean and the rooms spacious. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back sometime again
We spent two amazing days at Aurel. The hosts very extremely nice and helpful. They speak both English and Italian, so there's no problem with communication. The rooms are very comfortable with a view on mountains and beautiful city of Berat. The best part of our stay here was delicious, home-cooked meals. If you want to try traditional Albanian dishes, you're in a right place. We highly recommend this cosy hotel.
Our room in this beautiful heritage-style, boutique hotel was tastefully furnished with a very comfortable bed and high-quality linens, duvets and towels. Our booking included breakfast and it one of the most sumptuous, tasty meals we have had in Albania. The hotel is family-owned and each and every member of the family was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was a truly delightful experience staying here.
We loved the old style architecture of the stone house and being right in the old town. The staff is super kind and nice and just like most of the local people we met on our trip across Albania, always very helpful. Arjan is the kindest man because I am vegan and for my breakfast he bought avocado, broccoli and carrot, which was great! We will definitely come back to Albania, Berat and Vila Meri.
Stayed here with my two small kids, it's the second time we come to Albania. The apartment was close to the city center and to the new stadium that I have always wanted to visit! The hosts were nice whenever they talked to us, especially miss Sava. I was surprised with how clean our rooms were and I'll make sure to come again if I visit Berat in the future.
A very friendly staff, a plenty of choices during breakfast. A fantastic value for money; It was nice to get a welcome drink (water) taking into account the heatwave at that time. The hotel you cannot miss in Berat; so easy to find! All the guests can use an indoor pool free of charge. We could also have a later check out without any problems.
The accommodation is really cozy and clean :)
In the middle of Berat and staff were very sweet
We arrived about 7pm and we asked the hotel staff about a car park which was just next to the bridge where the hotel is
Clean room with a comfy mattress
Super tasty breakfast and dinner was also an option to order in their cozy dining room
We did a two week trip in Albania staying in some of top rated hotels around the main tourist cities. Hani i Xheblatit was our total favourite - immediately picked us up from the bus station at arrival, welcome tray of fruits and local alcohol(raki), best breakfast ever and greatest view of berat possible. Nicest hosts
The hotel is small, sweet and beautiful. The view from the terrace is amaizing, and it is surrounded by beautiful trees full of fruits. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is super clean. One can really enjoy the experience of a small villa in Berat.
Oh. My. god. This hotel was ABSOLUTELY stunning I still can’t believe it’s right inside the castle. The room was very modest but traditional. staff was super friendly, breakfast was very typical Albanian which I appreciated. Will absolutely come back.
Amazing hotel in the heart of old Gorica quarter in Berat. The hotel is on the hill and they serve an amazing breakfast (with some of the freshest products we tasted during our trip in Albania) in the top terrace overlooking the whole city.
The hotel is tastefully furnished and its location is superb. There is a view on the minaret and rooftops of Berat from the room windows and breakfast terrace. Staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. We highly recommend the place!
The hotel was clean, comfortable and had a good night’s rest. The breakfast was a very nice touch. The staff were helpful from start to finish for us.
The location was perfect to explore Berat and enjoyed this aspect.
