Beautifully decorated and comfortable accommodations. Great value! FYI, the hotel is a few rooms above the restaurant. If you send a message via Booking, the manager is super responsive, so if you need anything, it’s no problem! I didn’t miss a front desk at all. And they let us leave 2 bags there for free while we hiked the Peaks of the Balkans trail for 10 days. Very centrally located off the main pedestrian street. We also ate at the restaurant, which was delicious (homemade pasta and excellent salads, delicious bread).

Even though this lovely hotel is a bit far from town, I loved its secluded nature and beautiful views. It’s great for a night or two and perfect for kids with the swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and nice. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast with lots of choices.
Apple Map directions are accurate and you can’t get lost because the hotel has spray multiple painted arrows on the road pointing the way.

Incredible staff who really anticipated our needs and took care of us. We were cycling in the heat and absolutely exhausted when we showed up to check in. They helped get our bikes stored and up to our room asap so we could cool down and clean up. Great location walking distance to the old city. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was wonderful. Excellent coffee too. We ended up booking an extra night here we enjoyed it so much. The hotel is beautifully decorated with art, books and tons of plants. Would tell anyone staying in Shkoder to stay here.

Together with Berat and Gjirokastër, Shkodër is one of the most pleasant, beautiful and interesting cities in Albania.
The old part of town attracts many foreign tourists, but it remains very pleasant.
The beautiful old houses, the many restaurants and cafés provide a lot of charm.
Two highlights are located just outside the city centre:
the Rozafa Castle, which offers great views over the surroundings and can still be reached on foot from the centre (half an hour's walk) and the Ottoman arch bridge, Mesi Bridge, 7 kilometres from the city centre in the other direction. Easy to reach by taxi. Let the taxi wait. A visit to the bridge does not take very long. Agree on the price in advance.

Quiet place, lots and lots of coffee shops.
Quiet place, lots and lots of coffee shops. Any place to go is great.
Lake is a 30 min bike or maybe an hour walk to go and visit, this is very worthwhile and the lake was very warm in June.
The best museum for the communist history of shkodër is here so make sure to go. Felt that it provided a good background before going to Tirana and helped us understand more of the whole thing.
They had a few concert/events in the parks in the evenings, not sure if this is always happening, but creates a nice atmosphere.
Castle is interesting, can get the bus there or 40 min walk from city.

We enjoyed the Lake Komani ferry ride with its stunning scenery and historic significance although the mini-van ride was bone-jarring where the road was rutted. Many people were using the ferry to get to hiking opportunities. The pedestrian plaza just around the block was very pleasant, and we found the photography museum fascinating. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the sights. We did not ascend to the castle--my wife says she's climbed up to enough castles in her life. The food at Vila Bekteshi was bountiful, beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. Wish we had skipped the one meal we had at the Hotel Tradita. Overpriced, overcooked--pushy waiter.

Shkoder is a great place.
Shkoder is a great place. It is not a tourist theme park but a real city. The pedestrianised streets with their bars, cafes and restaurants are very pleasant. There is a great atmosphere. Full of people having a good time, which is nice to see. There are lots of reminders of Albania's communist past, and several eloquent monuments to it. As a post-Communist place, Shkoder is very interesting indeed and the museum which shows you the detention cells is not to be missed. Nor are the churches which were converted to sports halls; the diocesan museum is small but fascinating. There are a lot of shabby even ruined buildings some of which are being done up; but that is living history for you.

Interesting place in Albania, Shkoder is a medium sized city, modest but with a lovely and lively historical center full of tourists. As a particularity, the people from Shkoder bike everywhere, I don't believe I have seen so many locals biking since The Netherlands. There are not many supermarkets and those there are medium sized with a poor variety of foods and goods. On the other hand the bakeries are great with many options and also the fruit in the street ofer a nice variety. We were able to pay in euros in 95% of places. The trafic is hell, like in the rest of the country. We chose Shkoder for 2 nights because we made a one day trip to Teth and also a one day trip to Komani Lake + Shala River, and Shkoder offers acces to both destinations.

don't miss it. The view is outstanding.
We had lunch at FISI restaurant. Great service and tasty food.
We took a short walk on "Rruga Kolë Idromeno" pedestrian street.
nice street with tourist shops and restaurants.
This is one of the best hostels I've stayed at in Albania. The overall feeling is great, with each bed having its own bedside lamp and curtain for privacy. The location is convenient to both the bus station and the city center. The hostel owner helped us arrange everything for our hike transportation to Theth and from Valbona back to Shkodër. He is very friendly and helpful, and always willing to assist with any questions. Highly recommended. I stayed here twice and will definitely come back again next time.
Extremely spacious apartment, very clean, equipped with everything you need, it also has a common terrace with a beautiful view of the mountains and most importantly, a very friendly host. I think many hoteliers around the world should learn from the Albanian people what it means to be hospitable. Congratulations. The area is very attractive in terms of tourist attractions, we will definitely return.
A gorgeous, traditional, Albanian hotel. Conveniently located in the centre of the town. The venue is really stunning. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very nice. Check-in was extremely quick and the staff took our bags to our room as there was no lift. The restaurant is full of atmosphere and the food and drinks were delicious. Really enjoyed our stay.
The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Easy access to the liveliest part of town and within cycling distance of all the main attractions in Shkodër. The staff were helpful and offered advice on things to do and see in Shkodër.
The building is very nicely furnished, with an interesting story and lots of artefacts from Albanian history.
Amazing place in an beautiful location, the best views in town. Very good restaurant with traditional Albanian food. The best of this hotel is the staff, very helpful and kind. The room was very clean amd confortable.
I really recomend this place.
