Location! Unfortunately, my early departure (6:15am) prevented me from enjoying the breakfast. The restaurant looked nice though. Quiet room. I liked how the room had a small area as you enter where you could sit, remove and keep your shoes. And since there are two doors from there that you can shut for the bathroom and the bedroom, it means that you have two doors between your bed and the hallway. Which means you are much less likely to hear people in the hallway. Smart idea!

Two full days is plenty of time to explore Berat. The castle is worth a visit maybe a taxi up and walk down as its very steep. The two bridges are nice to walk over and the view at night is wonderful. A nice reasonable restaurant is Friendly House the restaurant is upstairs and looks out over the river.

Berat is definitely on of the cool city on my list. It will be great to hire a tour guide for the explanation and exploration around the old castle area.
Based on the local suggestion, every year, there is an event called epiphany on Jan 6. It will be super good if you can witness this wonderful event.

Was very underwhelmed by Berat.
Was very underwhelmed by Berat. One big building site and litter everywhere. View is alright but nothing special. Not much to do. Very quiet in March but traffic already tough so wouldn’t want to be there in summer.
Only playground in the village was extremely dirty and many things were broken.

We felt like we were stepping back in time, but with all the modern amenities. The property is absolutely beautiful and the staff/owners are very friendly and professional. We liked it so much we decided to stay an extra day. Located within the Castle Berat walls, this hotel has amazing views of Berat - especially at night. Very comfortable bed and spacious, spa-like shower. We ate in the restaurant below and it was very good and the staff super nice. It was the best stay we had during our 2-week trip through the area!
Nice, clean, tidy hotel room. The service staff was nice to me. There was a woman there who prepared breakfast and was kind; when I checked out of the hotel she treated me to a tangerine. The best thing about this hotel is that check-out was supposed to be at 11 a.m., and the hotel owner extended it until 1 p.m., since I asked her to extend it because of my online meeting, which I was very happy about. Recommend to all tourists who visit this beautiful historical city of Berat
A flawless and spotless hotel in a historic building full of character.
The owners Walter and Justina are amazing and make their best to get you a memorable experience.
The room is beautiful with a balcony looking at the hill with "the thousands windows" and the breakfast was served in a beautiful setting.
The restaurant was the best in Berat and one of the top in all over Albania.
As for the price, a really bargain!
I wish one day to return.
Thanks guys
The hotel is very cozy and beautiful, the rooms very comfortable with private bathrooms, both of good size. The breakfast was very nice with an Albanian dish, and the location was perfect. The service was perfect, all the people who worked there were super nice. In the end we regretted not staying more time. If you want a quiet place in the historic part of the city with quick access to bus, stores, restaurants and the Berati castel this is the one.
A perfect location in the middle of Berat. The view is great, so was our breakfast. I can also 100% recommend to have dinner at the hotel. Cozy and superb quality of food.
Parking can be a challenge, so try to be there early. You can park alongside the big road in front of the hotel for free. Also try to pack light, it can be a challenge to get up the stairs with heavy suitcases. But the staff was very kind and helpful!
Fantastic family-run hotel in a quiet section of town. Our room was modern and comfortable with nice local touches. The staff speaks English well, were very friendly and helped us plan our excursions. Breakfast was A+ in the charming garden. It's fast and easy to walk to any of the town's sites, with multiple great restaurants within 5 minutes. We will stay here again when we return to Berat.
Great location in the old town of Berat (Mangalem,, very convenient to reach all the main attractions.
Very gorgeous rooms and common area with superb views over the Gorica neighborhood. Very traditional yet comfortable, nice terrace in the room
Breakfast is wonderful and tasty, great variety of dishes and products
Very nice staff, very welcoming and ready to assist you in any way
Perfect accommodation for your stay in Berat. Everything is very new and clean, there is freshly made breakfast every morning, and the hotel is right in the centre of the old town. To make the stay even better, the host is very friendly and helpful. He even has his own tea, wine and Raki (the traditional Albanian drink) which we could drink during our stay.
Very charming hotel in the beautiful old quarter of Berat. Small but beautiful room, good beds and good shower. Not super luxurious but one can not expect more in such an beautiful and authentic building . Simple but adequate breakfast. Staff extremely enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. Good value for money.
We had a wonderful stay in Berat. The Boutique hotel is an amazingly well renovated ancient house, nicely decorated, with an excellent breakfast served in typical wooden dishes. It is also withing walking distance of all attractions. The hosts were very welcoming. We highly recommend.
Nice guesthouse in the old city of Berat. Gorgeous terrace where you can have a drink, and where the large breakfast is served. Very helpfull staff.
We had diner at Mangalemi, right across from the small alley where the hotel is situated. Well recommended.
I cannot express how good I feel about this hotel! One of the hidden gems in the center of Berat. Everything is walking distance away. The staff is very kind and helpful. The view from every single corner is simply breathtaking. 5/5 it deserves.
This accommodation is really beautiful, clean and the staff was really nice as well. A very big plus is guarded parking, which is located 100m from the actual hotel. The breakfast was really tasty with an outstanding overview of Berat.
Location was ideal! Owner was so helpful - helped me and my friends bring our luggage up the cobblestone steps.
Super friendly and welcoming vibes. We loved the turtles and kittens roaming the property! BEST hotel in Berat!
Hotel was amazing, super clean, Lorence is a such a nice person, his wife cooked a very good dinner for us too. If i will go to Berat again i will definetly stay in this hostel again. Amazing experience 12 out of 10!!
Great location up the hill, short walk from the castle. Staff was friendly. Note that the hotel accepts cash only, like in most places in Albania. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Amazing value for money.
