A good full day spend in Tirana is more then enough.
A good full day spend in Tirana is more then enough. Please note this poor country is developing and therefor expect a one big construction site. they build everywhere. the city shows a mix of history and new design, the main center has a lot to show, sometimes you need to search it. walking away from center will let you arrive in the typical balkan streets with shop shops and shops. basically fake brands, and food. if you want to add some museums a weekend trip is enough for Tirana, Do NOT go to Durres beach, the water there is not clear and pretty much old and dirty. for a beach get away go to Sarande, there you can relax with crystal clear waters and a possibility to go to Corfu island.

Bunkart 1 and 2 are a must visit.
Walking tour round the city helped to get a better understanding of the city and gives a good overview of all the sights within the city centre.
Oda gardens - Recommend visiting, great food at good pricing.
Opertating round Tirana was really easy, everything is within a 20 min walk of the square.
Transport from the Airport is 20 Euros, some taxi drivers will try and charge 35 but this is too expensive. Can also get a bus from the airport to centre for 400Lek per person.
Recommend getting an Esim before travelling out, if not there is plenty of Esim providers in the airport.

Tirana is a safe and easy city to walk around.
Tirana is a safe and easy city to walk around. No hassles from anyone very reasonable to eat out. Most young people speak English. Enjoyed a half day tour that we pre booked however you can easliy get around with google maps. Two great local restaurants we tried were Birrari Ke Tori and Tymi King Pls both BBQ places. 2 nights was enough to get to know the city.

An underrated city which I arrived at not really knowing what to expect, but left feeling completely delighted. It's an up-and-coming city, not like any in the UK, which is an assault on the sense when you arrive, but you quickly feel at ease. Architecture, food, nightlife, and amenities were all spot on and prices are reasonable depending on where you go! The weather is nice in May and you could use the city as a stop off on the way to the coast, or it lends itself as a short city break perfectly! The people are what makes it, so happy to engage and help (just ask), and younger generations are able to speak English well. Would definitely love to go back and experience the rest of Albania.

It's a great city and perfect for a short break. There is not a whole lot of tourist attractions in terms of museums and activities but it's a lovely city to walk around and there are lots of nice places to eat. The mountain views are stunning.

The people in Tirana were very nice and it was a perfect experience for me.I ate at a lot of traditional restaurants and the food was amazing. I would recommend it to every tourist that would like a nice city with friendly people and a lot of new experiences.
The location is highly convenient, with easy access to everything. It is just a short walk away from the city center, the airport bus station, souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants. Alesia and Ilva from the reception were very friendly and accommodating, and the manager was very helpful and attended to my concerns immediately. The housekeeping really does their job well. The only thing is they don’t provide complimentary water. But overall the hotel is great. Will definitely recommend it to my friends.
This hotel was a perfect place to start our holiday in Albania. The location was good, it was in walking distance to the city centre. The staff was amazing! Tani told us so much about Albania and places to visit. We have never experienced such kindness and hospitality anywhere. He even woke up at 4 am to make us breakfast so that we were able to start our road trip early enough. We will definitely come back when we are in Tirana again. Thank you so much!
The hotel was quite central to the city centre and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. It had a good terrace of it's own but it was covered for Winter of course, for our January visit.
I was surprised to find breakfast to be very good with a large variety of options including hot eggs, sausages and omelette.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and very clean with excellent water pressure.
Newly refurbished and well equipped apartment, a 3 min walk away from Tirana's city centre and its major attractions. The host was very welcoming, we understood each other very well (he speaks four languages), and gave us some useful suggestions about things to see and do while in Tirana. The apartment waa super clean and quiet. We definitely recommend it and will come back here if we visit Albania again. Faleminderit!
We stayed for two nights at the Center Elite Hotel ,very central and strategic for visiting the Albanian capital... very close to almost all the tourist attractions of Tirana. Mrs. Elvira was very sweet and available for every request The icing on the cake of this unexpected beautiful holiday. 10 And prais for Tirana ..100 For the fantastic owner Elvira.
Economical and family-friendly 5 well-deserved stars
The apartment is just amazing, very clean wide and new (it has lots of facilities). It is situated in the city center of Tirana.
Hence the owner was super nice with us, welcoming and also helped us plan our vacation to different parts of Albania with very good suggestions to beautiful scenic spots.
Highly reccomended, hence we will definetly book it for the last night in Tirana before heading back home!
Amazing hotel and very comfortable and they take care of their guests.
Serve amazing breakfast and they prepared the food what guest requests.

Highly recommend to stay for any guest whome plane to visit tirana, Albania 🇦🇱
Thank you so much for your amazing hosting 😍❤ ✈🌍🇦🇱
Stayed here for one night with the family as part of our Balkan tour. We stayed in the family room, which was enough for four of us. We found the hotel to be good for a one-night stay. Looks new and clean and the location is a big plus. It is in the city centre and you can easily walk to all the major attractions in Tirana.
a great value-for-money option in Tirana.
Elisa Hotel was the best hosting experience I ever had in Tirana. The staff was phenomenal, the location was not more than 10 minutes flat-enjoyable walk from the city center plaza, the car care and service for parking was perfect etc. The best part was the room that was super clean, premium looking and very well kept. Will be visiting again for sure!
This is our second visit to the Lot Boutique Hotel and it is a hotel that we will come back to again. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast is the best we have had in Albania. It is located right in the center of Tirana but very quiet. The bus to the airport, local buses and the bus to the terminal are all close by.
It’s really the best hotel in Tirana! In the Center of Albanian capital. Do you want find better location? It’s impossible! Super clean room, good air conditioner in room, nice and modern bathroom, good breakfast and coffee. In hotel is super staff! You can ask them all what you need, they will help you 24 hours!
The villa is quite pretty and 5 min walking to the center of Tirana.
The breakfast was out of this world: typical Albanian breakfast made daily by a very welcoming cook.
The hotel adapted to our arrival time, despite having had a long delay from our flight.
Fantastic hostel in heart of Tirana city.
Very close to airport bus, main Scanderberg square, local market, restaurants and other atractions.
Super nice host Adriano and his fantastic breakfasts /one of the best in all albanian hostels/.
Very good price !
Perfect location to explore Tirana, right in the middle of the city centre. Breakfast was very delicious. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and they even arranged a taxi for us to the airport on our last day. Really enjoyed our stay here!
The staff were kind and friendly and the room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast was delicious and the times were convenient. Not far from a €4 coach bus stop to the airport and the hotel was in the center of the city.
The owner of the hotel is very calm, modest and super friendly. You get treated very well and we really liked that the breakfast was served by order and not by buffet.
It was our best stay in Albania!
The hotel is fantastic, with an excellent service team. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. We will definitely stay at this hotel on our next trip to Albania. We highly recommend it.
