It is hard to comment objectively as this was low season and much of the restaurants and facilities were closed , but it is obvious there is much more in season. It is hard to review Golem as we mostly stayed at the hotel and its close proximity. There is a pathway by the beach which is not too long to walk. The are a few markets in very close proximity to the hotel.

The apartment was spacey with a sea view and good value for the money. In October it was not overcrowded with the tourists. Weather was warm and sunny during our stay and there was reasonably priced resort restaurants near by. Golem is the quieter beach down from Durres. This is a touristy destination. It does have lovely bars and restaurants but not the character if yre looking for the idillic beach scene. The best is the location and facilities. It is a very beautiful place, a lot of shows. I only didn´t feel so safe, because people who is not in the hotel can enter and use the swiming pool. My daughter get stolen by another child, who was not in the hotel and those people who are not in the hotel are using the chairs from the swimmingpool and sometimes we didn´t have a spot to sit. Another recomendation is to put more garbage cans, because the beach was full of cigarette butts.AAnonymousCroatia

Breakfast was excellent, we used the restaurant services for another meal. Parking — around the hotel building. There was a small supermarket nearby for retail shopping.

It is cleaner, better equipped and more spacious than our room in Grand Blue Fafa Hotel (which supposed to be a 5 star hotel) in which we stayed before renting this place. Also the owner was very nice and helpful. Overall it is a shame our stay there was so short.
