Two full days is plenty of time to explore Berat. The castle is worth a visit maybe a taxi up and walk down as its very steep. The two bridges are nice to walk over and the view at night is wonderful. A nice reasonable restaurant is Friendly House the restaurant is upstairs and looks out over the river.

Berat is definitely on of the cool city on my list.
Berat is definitely on of the cool city on my list. It will be great to hire a tour guide for the explanation and exploration around the old castle area. Based on the local suggestion, every year, there is an event called epiphany on Jan 6. It will be super good if you can witness this wonderful event.

Was very underwhelmed by Berat.
Was very underwhelmed by Berat. One big building site and litter everywhere. View is alright but nothing special. Not much to do. Very quiet in March but traffic already tough so wouldn’t want to be there in summer. Only playground in the village was extremely dirty and many things were broken.

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful whenever I had questions; her level of English was high.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, the best you can get. They are decorated with beautiful artisan work. The staff is very friendly, they serve a tasty, traditional Albanian food at the restaurant. Breakfast is included in the price. We will deffinitely come back to this hotel.
