The views of Nahuel Huapi were amazing. I liked the personal fireplaces, and the communication with the front desk was easy and they were quite responsive. It’s not far from Bariloche city center either. 5-ish minute drive, and Ubers are very available.

Unfortunately, the worse property I ever stayed at. It almost turns into a joke where even the staff laughs with you.
1. 5 mins after reservation is made they text me saying they will change me to a different hotel because my room has a problem. Lesser $ but did not offer to pay me difference.
2. Then they go back on their text and say that they have now fixed the problem.
3. I arrive and they say I need to pay $40usd more for “a view”. We had already booked with a view.
4. They then proceed to give me key to an occupied room so I barge in on a couple.
5. They then give me a room with no view.
6. I had to spend the night there even though I had Just been charged 40 for a view.
7. Next morning I get a room w a view and as I am closing door, the handle completely falls off. Now I cannot even close the place. But I can open.
8. Wash hands and faucet falls off.
9. Turn lights on and outlet falls off.
10. Elevator gets stuck and clearly needs maintenance. Every time it stops it feels it is about to break and free fall.
11. I was nice and asked booking to help me get some sort of discount or rebate or maybe a free night since I had booked for 6 total.
I got nothing. They said the owner has 7 hotels. I would suggest he closes one or two in order to improve quality.
The view was nice and the staff at the hotel but management is clearly only interested in making money even if it’s by tricking people into booking from a long distance.
The hotel is in no condition to be operating. The elevator I am afraid is days from causing a death.
I would not recommend this place at all and hopefully someone will do something about it.

San Carlos de Bariloche is located on the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake and surrounded by the magnificent Nahuel Huapi National Park. Perched among 2000-metre high mountains, the town is one of the biggest winter sports resorts in South America. It is the Argentinean capital of artisan chocolate, and mixes Central European influence with native traditions.
Originally populated by different native tribes, the modern settlement grew in the last decades of the 19th century around the shop of the German immigrant Carlos Wiederhold. Its development reached a peak in the 1930s, with the completion of the railroad, the creation of the national park, and the construction of several emblematic buildings. The Civic Centre and the Neo-Gothic cathedral, as well as some famous Bariloche hotels were built to resemble a Swiss village.
The city is one of the most popular destinations in Argentina and a gateway to Patagonia. Hotels, luxury resorts, guest houses, B&Bs and hostels, are part of Bariloche’s large range of accommodation. It has famous ski stations like Mount Catedral, and is also the traditional destination for students in their last year of secondary school.
A 2-hour flight from Buenos Aires to Bariloche Airport is the quickest way to reach the town. If you’re planning a trip to Patagonia, don’t miss the Bariloche hotel deals available on Booking.com!

the amazing views, their breakfast room, they had the best sushi restaurant with inside or outside sitting area overlooking lakes, mountains and award winning sushi.
getting around was easy we had our own rental car and visited other towns. I would avoid booking the type of room in the old part of the Hotel, they have a new and better section. they do have a well train staff that offers area tours, we drove to different areas ,visiting Cerro Tronador,Villa Angostura,Circuito chico, having more time to enjoy the views. Roads are safe to drive.

The worst in San Carlos de Bariloche is everything that is...
The worst in San Carlos de Bariloche is everything that is sold and offered to the tourists. Every walk you take is better than any paid tour. Not just because by walking around you'll get better views (amazing views by the way) and also overall experiences (get closer to the nature, be able to actually listen the sounds in the woods, do it at your own relaxed times) but also because you will avoid extremely (!!) long queue lines, bad mooded couples fighting, kids crying, dirt and noise...
To sum up, there are so many astonishing trails to walk around Bariloche and you get to see everything you want, that paying for a tour is just a rookie mistake.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful! There was a nice backpacker atmosphere in the hostel but at the same time it was very homely. There were large storage lockers in the rooms so the rooms were kept organised by all travellers. The bathrooms are private so no issues with cubical showers and much more comfortable for getting changed. The lounge area was nice and cosy. The hostel was very quiet in the sleeping area...I think it was the best nights sleep I got in Argentina!
This hotel is clean, basic, and rustic with a comfortable bed and good hot shower/bath tub to soak in after a long hike. I could really unplug and liked that my room had NO TV and sparsely decorated. The location is great with stunning lake views. I also liked the breakfast set up - a menu with a few good choices to get my day started (coffee, juice, and croissants). Very personable staff.
We loved every part of our stay at Hotel Tirol. The bedding was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the location had a great view of the lake! This hotel is located near the center, so walking and flagging down a taxi was no problem. We were extremely pleased with the staff, and highly recommend this hotel to others traveling to this area!
Firstly, the staff was always ready to help at anytime if needed.
Secondly, the hotel premises as well our bedroom were always clean and neat. I would like to highlight their breakfast - artisan quality bake goods- everything was fresh!
Finally, the view of the lake and mountains while having breakfast is breathtaking!
Nice hotel located 2.6 kms from Bariloche city centre. Quiet place to relax and just minutes from the city centre walking or by taxi. The hotel has a good restaurant, bar, 2 lift, 1 pool, a gym and spa if you want a massage. Excellent room service. Helpful staff.
Nicole made us very welcome and was incredibly helpful. The room was very spacious and we had a lovely balcony at the back of the property overlooking the garden.
The breakfast was very good and the room and whole hotel very clean.
Clean, well kept older building. Staff was great. Location was great. Only book this hotel if you get a view room. Good continental breakfast. Walkable to the center of town. Some on site parking. Not guaranteed.
Really lovely hotel with lovely lounge bar and pool with incredible views!
We moved from an awful hotel (hotel huemul) and it was a joy to be at this hotel with a lake view from our room :)
Hotel was convenient and good value for money, but as many city center is quite old facilities and few aspects deserve attention, again good value for money. Staff was of great help.
Quiet, friendly, and very clean. Comfy mattresses with privacy curtains and lockers. Staff was super friendly. Other visitors mostly from Argentina, all very respectful and friendly.
The room was comfortable and clean.
The hotel is very well located, downtown, close enough to walk to main attractions and far enough to not be bothered by noises.
The location is good, near the center city! The staffs is good people and help if you want. The hotel is working 24 hours, the room is large and the price is good.
The hotel is located in the center of Bariloche, the rooms facing the street are noisy.
They have a safe parking snd and staff was very friendly and helpful.
