Cordoba is a good example of what happens when you don't...
Cordoba is a good example of what happens when you don't have good urban planning. There are some beautiful buildings here and there but there is no real old centre even thought the city was founded in 1573--450 years ago--and has the oldest university in the country! Instead one finds high rises built helter skelter and so there is no harmony to the city. Also, most of the facades are blackened by dirt and pollution. We took a city tour by bus but the narrator had little to say in English compared to the Spanish version. It was not worth the expense. The people, however, are lovely and friendly and the cost of eating is low for tourists with US dollars. If we ever come back, it will be to visit the many attractions in the province, which will require renting a car. I advise you to go online to see what to do and see in the city.

Very nice historic centre.
Very nice historic centre. Also very nice art galleries and museums. Found some good restaurants and cafes. Visited Alta Gracia and the Che Guevara museum. Only off putting thing was Neuva Cordoba although pleasant full of bars and nightclubs which make sleeping difficult.

Cordoba is the 2nd largest city in Argentina and has seven universities so the population is pretty young. It is a great city to walk in as it has several pedestrian only streets through the downtown.
I recommend the City Tour Bus to get a sense of the central area. Many great cafes and restaurants. Several museums and art galleries worth seeing. Taxis are everywhere and cheap for US visitors. The exchange rate is changing daily so get your money in an ATM early in the day as they run out.

CordUnfortunately, most museums, galleries and even churches (even the historic temples) are only open in the afternoon. The surrounding villages are beautiful.oba is a city with relatively few tourist attractions, but it is a truly youthful, vibrant city.

Wonderful colonial centre; fabulous cafes and pedestrian walkways. A great student vibe. Highly recommend. Would also recommend taking the bus to Alta Gracia and visiting the Che Guevara museum and Jesuit estancia.
We were very happy to stay. First, Ferreyra upgraded the bigger room for us. All staffs are nice and happy to answer all questions what I asked. Last, Ferreyra saved me a lot of time, no need to bus terminal, he was willing to buy bus ticket online for me. 😊. Finally the stuff, I didn't know the name, sorry, he kept my friend"s green bottle for hot water, as my friend forgot that. The staff saved his life.
If I have a chance go to Córdoba again, absolutely I will stay again
Casa Woopa is a hidden jem of Cordoba. I consider myself super lucky to be able to find it and to stay there for 4 nights. The experience of staying in Casa Woopa is like visiting a friend and staying with them at their really lovely house. Nacho is such a sweet, friendly, trustworthy guy who can get along with anyone. I truly enjoyed evening conversations with Nacho and Ali in their beautiful courtyard dinning table. I would highly recommend this place!
The location is excellent - a nice view from the window on the church, also everything is super close to explore on foot. The staff is sweet and friendly and they speak English. The building itself is old and elegant, and they keep those precious details from the previous epoch - the doors are exactly like in the Cabildo de Cordoba! I also liked the tiles on the floor and the high ceilings.
Quiet apartment with all the amenities: good WiFi, a/c, small balcony, kitchen, elevator, TV with movie channels, secure building. Location is ok, 1 block from park, 10-15 min walk from bus terminal, 10-15 walk to central square plaza, and building located in the nice Neuvo Cordoba neighborhood. The owner Nicholas is a nice good guy, very helpful. Good value.
Great location. Apartment is in building! Nice experience leaving with city people! Very clean and cozy apartment. Very safe place!Downstairs is great coffee place!! Lucas is excellent guy, he speaks english and he gave as great tips about Cordoba and Argentina. Thank you so much Lukas!
The hotel is very conveniently located in central Cordoba has has secure on-site parking. We were able to leave our car parked the entire stay and explore the lovely city of Cordoba on foot. The suites were quite spacious and comfortable. The staff was completely unobtrusive.
The hotel is located around the city main square. You can get to the city center and main tourist attractions in a heartbeat. The breakfast is typical Argentinean: filter coffee, milk, medialunas, bread, butter, ham and cheese, and some cereals.
-Helpful staff
-Free breakfast as a bonus
-Curtains for bunk beds, big rooms, big lockers
-Clean and large bathrooms
I left as I am staying with a friend in Cordoba and so didn't need a hostel
You receive your own apartment in centre of Cordoba. Few steps from airport bus. Turistic area with all old town in walking distance. We found amazing restorans, not expensive, not far from home.
The hostel’s common areas were great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a good hostel option in Cordoba, and I would stay here again.
