We went there particularly to visit the site of Stalag XVIIIA. First stop, Lavanthaus Museum, which has display about the three camps on the site over time; also publication in German and English. (Museum also has interesting folk history of area.) Found stalag memorial at junction of Lagerstrasse and Sankt Thomasstrasse. Campsite is now industry and housing. Walked through on Lagerstrasse. Satisfied to have seen the site and area where Aussie father was POW for 4 years. Memo to Wolfsberg: your street signage is woeful.AnnaAustralia - 10Scored 10

This is a very beautiful town, surrounded by beautiful mountains. There is a very pleasant pedestrian area where you can drink delicious coffee and have a delicious cake! The people are very friendly. You can walk to the castle, which is very beautiful. You can also visit the nearby cities.

Fun little farming town every one was totally helpful even though our ability to speak German is very poor most people are able to speak English and those who couldn't had pretty good sign language 😀

Wolfsberg was a base for us for the F1 weekend in Spielberg.
Wolfsberg was a base for us for the F1 weekend in Spielberg. It had everything we needed a couple of supermarkets to stock up and the usual fast food restaurants as well as more traditional places to eat. By far for us the Schwimmbad is a fabulous place to cool off from the intense heat. The facility is second to none with 50m comp pool, diving pool and very large family pool as well as slide, so cheap to enter.

We booked half board because the room is quiet big and very clean, the dinner is delicious and the breakfast has great variety of healthy food. Manual is very kind to give us a room in the third floor. Unfortunately because the air-condition was broken in second and third floors during this hottest period, we were given a room in the first floor. It is a very good hotel for a stop-over before going back to our destination.DayanAustria
