Torquay is a delightful holiday destination with a great surfing beach, vibrant shopping centre with shops, cafes and restaurants. We found the Torquay Hotel a particularly nice venue to eat as a family.

I love the sea and find the ocean re-invigorating. The people are friendly and there some great places to run along the coastline as well as restaurants to dine out at. I shopped for local products which I enjoyed and picked up some nice little gifts. The holiday enabled my two dogs to travel with me and my friend so that our family had a nice break. It made my winter seem a little more cheerful as I don't enjoy the cold but managed to paddle in the ocean with Peppy and Tom. Thank you for the opportunity to get away.

Squires Loft is a great restaurant especially if you like steak.
Point Impossible is the most beautiful beach in Torquay. It is clothing optional so there are not a lot of kids and the beach is pretty quiet although there are a few male perverts that are creepy.
We went to 2 coffee shops that weren't great. I will take my own coffee machine next time.
One of the fish & chip shops near woolies was closed on Wednesday night which I found strange. Another one in Bell St was open but the chips weren't good. It is a guessing game to figure out which take away shops are open, their website will say the shop is open when it isn't.
The bars close early and you will struggle to find an open bar after 9.30pm.
It can be hard to find parking at peak times.

Torquay is a great destination and in my opinion one of the nicest towns along the surf coast. The town centre is pleasant to walk around, and the vibe is great - plenty of choice for foodies with a plethora of fantastic restaurants.
I was here for 3 days on business but made sure I fitted in some leisure time and can't wait to return.
Ebb & flow Torquay Pet friendly accomodation was very clean, comfortable & a great locaton to get to the beach, restaurants & local shops. The outdoor garden gets the morning sun, making it perfect to eat breakfast outside. The BBQ was great. Fully eqipped with dishwasher washing machine, coffee machine, but no coffee milk frother. Lucky we brought our own. Perfect size back yard for our dog. Overall, we loved our stay & will definitely stay there again.
The location was great, beach across the road, walking distance to Torquay city centre. The house was amazingly well equipped, with tennis racquets, paddle boards, pool table, spa bath, bikes, board games....everything you could need for holidaying with a group of young adults, and the kids and their friends used pretty much everything!
The hotel is clean and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The room is very stylish and a great size, and the bed was so comfortable, which was a blessing after a full day out. I would like to give a special mention to Tracey. She was great at getting us checked in, recommended some fabulous places to go and was extremely helpful.
We didn't get into our room until 2.45. It was cleaned but not updated on the computer. Didn't actually ever check. Our breakfast was not up to standard of s 4 star hotel. Old soap was left in the container. For the price it was no where near up to standard. We have done a lot of travelling and very disappointed
The room size is fantastic with great space for a family of 4. The outdoor heated pool was a hit with the kids. Location to the beach as well as the town centre is also a huge positive. Generally a very comfortable hotel and room to enjoy a few days in Torquay.
The location suited our family perfectly. We walked into Torquay most days, as the view along the Esplanade is beautiful. The property was well equipped, with the BBQ, tennis court and apps on the television.
Clean, spacious and well-appointed townhouse, right on the peaceful links of The Sands. Great little home base for our Torquay holiday. Brilliant double-sized shower, and a neat little courtyard out back
Great location for a holiday for all generations. Lovely rural setting 5 minutes from Torquay. Point Addis and Bells beach are close by.
A family run business, with friendly helpful hosts.
Calina was so lovely, i was a little early and they had everything ready.
