It's a boutique "concept" hotel. Advertising photos had me thinking it was larger. Might have had more towels.
Might have offered a washcloth. Good ventilation.

We showed up at the Hotel VIP and there was no room key at the desk as needed. The room actually was open and we went in, but despite it being a non-smoking hotel, the room smelled of smoke. As they couldn't find the key, we needed to go to a sister hotel and check in there. That room was smaller than the one we arranged for. Driving and parking in the city, due to the hotel change was a pain and cost us a couple hours.

Sarajevo holds the most beautiful and most painful reminders of Jugoslavia and it's worth to visit and explore it. Hold on to your tissues with you for some very emotional stories of the city's siege. History museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a must see, both for exhibition but also for the beautiful building itself.

Sarajevo is a city with soul and one with a rich, albeit sometimes very sad, history. There are quite a few museums to visit, beautiful architecture to see and lots of fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes to enjoy the outstanding local food, drink and sweets in.

I enjoyed touring the Sarajevo 1878 - 1918 Museum which provides repeated videos of the Austrian administration and the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The videos are partly subtitled in English. The displays are equally impressive. Another Sarajevo museum is the Brusa Bezistan, a local history museum. It is notable for the model of Sarajevo in 1878. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the vast pedestrain walking area. As for transport, the trams are run on one way streets which run on both sides of the pedestrain area. I recommend the third museum, namely the Olympic Museum which provides repeated films of the Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games which shows a clip of the gold medal winners Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean's winning ice skating performances. Finally I recommend that the Sarajevo City Hall is worth visiting on account of the impressive interior decorations.

There is so much history here.
There is so much history here. It really is situated at the crossroads of civilizations. So much excellent food and things to do, and the people are so friendly and helpful. This was our third visit - we can't wait to come back.
The host is amazing, so kind and helpful. She was always there to help even in things not directly related to the property itself. She made our first stay in Bosnia so special and we felt like home. The house has an amazing garden with a fabulous view of Sarajevo mountains. Its location is perfect, about 3-4 minutes walking to the old town. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The kitchen has almost everything you need. I cooked almost everyday. Thank you for the amazing experience. Definitely would like to book again and again.
A very beautiful house with all services available in addition to the beautiful view. The location of the house is also suitable for tourists, as it is close to the market and all the shops that a tourist may need. The house is clean and has a parking lot. There is also a wonderful balcony. The bedrooms are comfortable and the living room is beautiful, too. The kitchen is excellent and has all the supplies for cooking. I will definitely book the same house when I visit Bosnia again..
Bosnians are very hospitable people and this bed and breakfast/hotel is no exception. Everyone from Kerim the receptionist to the breakfast lady are very helpful. Rooms are spacious, Bosnian coffee at breakfast is tasty, and location is great since it’s only a short walk from the old town. I also appreciated that they were able to arrange taxis for me. Thanks!
I didn’t personally stay in this hotel, I booked it for my mom and she said everything was good.
I communicated with staff and have only positive experience. My mom doesn’t speak Bosnian and English, I informed hotel about it and they provided check in details that I shared with my mom lately. They also arrange transfer and picked her up from the airport.
A beautiful one bedroom apartment with an amazing view . Clean , comfortable with everything you need for a perfect holiday . The owner, Sabina, is so nice and helpful. She brought me some Bosnian tasty food, and I really enjoyed it. She also took me to the train station in the morning. Definitely, I will book again💚.
Clean and pretty apartment, very friendly owners, great location. I've booked many apartments in Sarajevo over the years, but this was one of the most solid and pleasant experiences. If you want to stay in an authentic Bosnian house just around the corner of the old town for a really fair price, this is a great choice.
We liked the location you are short walk from all of the local amenities.
it is a very traditional Bosnian hotel which was lovely.
the breakfast was a lovely traditional breakfast with an assortment of breads, spreads, breakfast drinks with the added bonus of fried eggs, omelettes or scrambled eggs which was lovely!
This place was one of the best we stayed in on our trip to Bosnia. Our children felt comfortable here because there were added touches to make it feel homey. Things like board games, children’s books and just the theme of hedgehogs really appealed to them. It was very clean, bright and the hosts were wonderful!
Located in the centre of old town, close to everything you want to see in Sarajevo. The design idea is nice, “old fashion” but Bosnian style inspired. We booked last minute which was a big plus. You have also a small kitchen, so you can have a coffee or anything in your room. Late check-out is also a plus.
It was a wonderful room, which was even bigger than the original room we booked, so the owner actually gave us a free upgrade. The room had everything we needed, and more. It is stylish and very centrally located. I'd recommend this accommodation to anyone.
Centrally located and this was convenient for us, because it was rainy during our time in Sarajevo so we could easily come back to the hotel anytime we needed.
The breakfast was amazing - be sure to go for the Bosnian breakfast option!
Rooms and public spaces were very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful with booking tours and restaurant recommendations. It’s also in a great location.
The location and price are the biggest selling points of this place. We booked a private room so we had our own bathroom and you can’t ask for a more convenient location to Baščaršija.
Moj izbor svakog puta kad sam u Sarajevu. Sjajna lokacija, ljubazno osoblje i moderan enterijer soba i restorana. Nemojte zabici da probate i hranu u restoranu koji je u sklopu hotela.
Hotel Divan is superbly located, an ideal launching pad for exploring the wonders of Baščaršija and central Sarajevo. And the staff epitomizes Bosnian hospitality. Hvala vam puno!
I stayed here more than once I book studio
Always and they upgrade me to a one bedroom which so sad
Room I don’t know why they did that as for me
The studio is what I booked
This is my fourth time to stay and I will book this hotel again. Great location with free parking, very clean, comfortable bed, very, very kind staff, decent breakfast.
