Location was great as it was quiet, but old town was still within walking distance. The free parking was easy. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious (though you had to ask if you wanted things like yogurt or fruit so we didn't get any of that as we didn't know). It was fairly clean and the beds were comfortable.

It's absolutely beautiful! The Old Bridge (which was rebuilt after the war) is a favourite tourist attraction so the area was quite busy. There are loads of restaurants, gift shops and bars. Try Craft Beer Garden for local ales with a terrace next to the river. Our favourite restaurant was called Malo Misto - superb food, lovely atmosphere, great prices, just outside the central area.
Be aware that there are no shops open on Sundays, and hardly any taxis. We drove our rental car into the centre on Sunday and found free parking and plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Mostar is very pretty, famously so.
Mostar is very pretty, famously so. The Old Town is small, and the new town has nothing to offer tourists, so do stay in the Old Town as close to the Bridge as possible. During the day there are hordes of day trippers, but at night it is much quieter and very lovely, so staying the night is essential; I stayed two nights which was just fine. It is very picturesque but that is it - there are no headline museums etc. Lots of touristy places to eat, all much of a muchness. As with the rest of BiH, very reasonably priced. Great ice cream! If you are interested in the civil war, there are many signs in the new town and on the edge of the old town of the conflict. In addition, the old bridge is of course a reconstruction as is most of the old town.

Super cozy town to wander through.
Super cozy town to wander through. Nice little shops with handmade products, many restaurants and café with cheap food and drink.
Just avoid the cafee under the bridge called Eko co. Worst service and bad coffee - not autenthic Bosnian. Super expensive.

Mostar is a captivating city that embodies a unique blend of historical gravitas and scenic charm, making it a must-visit destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nestled along the picturesque Neretva River, the city is famed for its iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), a stunning example of Islamic architecture in the Balkans and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historic bridge, beautifully reconstructed after the war, provides a symbolic connection between the city's diverse cultural and religious communities.
Visitors can explore the cobbled streets of the Old Bazaar, where traditional craft shops and quaint cafes offer a taste of local life and hospitality. The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque is another highlight, offering panoramic views of the city from its minaret. Also FORTICA is the best place to see Mostar from the hill, highly recommend take taxi 1km per Kilometre… ask driver for pick up later or walk down.
Mostar also serves as a gateway to explore the region's natural beauty. Nearby attractions include the emerald waters of the Kravica Waterfall and the serene Blagaj Tekija, a Dervish monastery nestled against a cliff beside the Buna River, which is perfect for a peaceful afternoon outing and Pocitelj ahistorical place!
With its rich history, stunning architecture, and warm, welcoming atmosphere, Mostar is truly a jewel worth exploring. Each corner of the city offers new delights and a chance to step back in time while enjoying the vibrant local culture.
Best place to eat and value for money:
- Cernica chevabdzinca, (a hidden gem) mix grill platter 40km in Cernica street, also Rodjeni Pie shop.
- Best Pizza (cappricioza my fav) in Nidze Veze in Boulevar opposite the Catholic church.
- Asdzinica Saraj by the Karadzozbeg Mosque, best to eat early between 10-12am, best traditional food reasonable prices
Malta - outside Mostar on the way to Blagaj fabulous food reasonable priced

Even in spring, the famous bridge attracts an awful lot of tourists in the day and early evening, so do bear this in mind and be patient. However it is definitely worth seeing (best from the river) and if the weather is good do wait for the locals jumping off the bridge - this takes place about every 30-minutes. If you're on the bridge the divers may ask if can make a contribution. don't overlook the rest of the town and you can still see traces of the civil war if you walk further out. Sadly, someone removed the Bruce Lee statue, only the pedestal remains. Highly recommend train journey between Mostar and Sarajevo.
Very clean hotel with nice architecture. We stayed at the building across the man building and our room was facing the river . So it was very quite and peaceful. The old stone building had a nice modern touch with nice furniture.
We paid extra 6 Euros for each person for breakfast and it was an amazing breakfast for the price. We also had lunch and I think they also run one of the best restaurants in Mostar (trout was very fresh and delicious). All staff at the front desk was super helpful (special thanks to Velid and Ena...).
Very friendly family who will help in any way. The location is excellent and the room very clean and comfortable. We had the room with attached lounge room and balcony which was great. The old part of Mostar is really interesting and the Turkish/Bosnian style food in the local restaurants is really good. Parking is convenient and Fedja will assist if you need help driving through the pedestrianised small laneway to the hotel parking. This is one of the most pleasant accommodations that we stayed in during our travels to Europe.
The location of the hostel is perfect, near the bus and the train station and the old town. When I arrived the room and the bathroom are very clean and smell good. The bed is confortable, the WiFi and the AC work very well, there are closets and lockers. The owners are polite and nice. A city map is offert and laundry is possible.
There is a patio to chill and meet people.
Adi orgnize a tour for some places in Mostar wich is good opportunity to know the city in one day and hear a story of a Bosnian people during the war.
The apartment is classy and very clean😍. Without compliment it is 5 star apartment and even better than many high star hotel’s. We went to Mostar for honeymoon and it was so kind and generosity from Arman ( the owner ) to put for us a flower bouquet chocolate. The apartment is fully equipped and the selection of furniture, arrangement of it and accessories are really wonderful😍.
The location is nearby the shopping malls and 1.5 km only from the old bridge.
Also, a private car park is available for free.
This is a modern comfortable family run hotel with a great breakfast included. From the front facing rooms, there is a good view over the valley that contains modern Mostar. The Aircon worked really well in humid weather and the WiFi was usable if a bit flaky. The briefing notes provided for guests about surrounding attractions were brilliant, leading me to a superb dinner by the source of the river Buna at Blagaj and more. The Rivero takes Euros in cash, however you need Bosnian KM in most places.
From the minute we arrived the staff were attentive and very pleasant. They truly went the extra mile with a welcome drink and snack. The location of the hotel was a little difficult to find at first and parking was confusing (Google maps was not the best!), but it was right in the heart of Old Town and just a minute or so walk from the Mostar bridge. Charming and delightful, this hotel is also a Unesco heritage site. We loved it, its location and the superb staff. Highly recommended!
Everything was even better than expected. The bed was very comfortable, there is a light and a socket for each bed and every person gets a small place to lock valuables. The place is very well located, being in a quiet neighborhood, but still only 10 minutes walk away from the old town. The owner, Adi, is very knowledgeable and he can help you understand the history of Mostar and of the whole Bosnia & Herzegovina. Don't hesitate to take his tour as well, it's well worth the money!
The hotel is strategically located in Mostar, only few steps away to the old bridge.
The suite was very spacious, clean and fresh. The beds were comfortable.
The bathroom was clean and had a water heater in the bathroom. The room came with an air conditioner. We liked that the smart tv can had Netflix.
The balcony was spacious good for two person.
The owner was very welcoming, hospitable and ensured that we had a comfortable stay at Shangri La Mansion.
A very warm Mostar welcome in a cosy home. The apartment on the 6th floor, is very quiet and has a lovely view from the balcony, with the old town and East Mostar bus station and train station less than 10 minutes walk. The place was spotlessly clean. Thank you for the information about where to go in Mostar, for the delicious homemade rose water, cherries and cake as well as the Bosnian coffee.
Amazing place to stay in Mostar! I love Mostar itself but Hotel Pasha made our stay even more special. Breakfast was really good comparing to other places were stayed in Balkans. Rooms were modern and exrtremely clean. Staff was very helpful and the pool on the rooftop was the best place to be during summer heat. It felt like being in the resort in the middle of Old Town!
I think this is one of the best Hotels in Mostar. It have more than we expect. Location is great almost next to the famous Mostar Bridge. The only problem that we find is walking from the old town to the hotel as the hotel is on the hill. But in exchange you get awesome view of the full Mostar city. The spa is amazing for all the travellers who want to relax for few days.
The hotel is very clean and well located next to old town. The bed was the most comfortable we've had in our entire Croatia/Bosnia trip. But the highlight was the staff! Caring, helpful, and exceedingly nice. Leyla particularly was amazing🤩! We are bringing back many memories of Bosnia and Herzogovina hospitality
Excellent location walking distance from old town, clean apartment with all facilities needed. The owners have superb attitude towards guests. They do everything to make your stay at Mostar special. we really like the people and the culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Highly recommended to everyone to visit here.
The hotel is easy to find by car. Very friendly staff and the car parking is very safe. Breakfast certainly was above Bosnian standard. The location of the hotel is superbe. A few minutes walking from the stari most and the old town. It's the ideal location when you do sightseeing by walking.
Nice hotel near a Mostar old town. It has safe underground parking for you car or motorbikes. Quite noisy neighborhood, but it's just in summer, when you leave open windows at night. Breakfast was ok, they serve few types of deserts for breakfast.
Everything. Nestled in the heart of the Mostar Villa Anri offers blend of Mediterranean history, culture and warm hospitality everything about this charming boutique hotel is wonderful, from views of old bridge, comfy beds, and great breakfast
Beautiful hotel on the river in Mostar, amazing location in the old town, the nicest staff who are very accommodating to requests, one of the best hotels I've ever been to in the world! Even the food was excellent!
Great position to visit the old town of Mostar. Easily reachable on foot. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is very clean. Definetly would reccomend for anyone wanting to see the old town and Mostar bridge.
