Breakfast selection was limited. We were encouraged to NOT order from the menu. When we did we waited 60 minutes for our meal. Unacceptable!

We loved how spacious the rooms were, the friendly staff who made excellent rum punches, the Wifi was amazingly fast! We had 2 people working on laptops and had zero issues. The AC in the bedroom was a nice addition for sleeping at night. Also loved the loungers outside the rooms so we could relax.

Breakfast was fine, location was good. Our room had a nice view of the beach. Most of the staff were helpful, if not exactly cheerful.

The hotel upgraded my room when I go to Barbados - and immediately I was grateful. The staff were friendly and really helped me get around Barbados. The hotel restaurant menu is limited though, and doesnt open on Mondays, which is strange. But the staff hooked me up with the HopScoth website which is Barbados version of Ubereats.

We stayed at Gully Point in Hometown, Saint James, Barbados, which was an excellent Villa 15 mins walk to the beach/town.
The beaches are excellent, some with less or slightly more rocks depending on where you are, but able to enjoy the water and beach at many locations fairly easily.
If you're not wanting to spend too much $$ for a fancy beachside restaurant, you can often rent a pair of chairs and umbrella for ~ $20 USD for the day and bring your own drinks/food.
The city of Holetown has everything you need from grocery store, Starbucks, restaurants, beachside bars and restaurants.
There are locals who will offer seadoo or various other water sport experiences, but be sure to bargain otherwise it can get very expensive.
Very good overall beach area to visit, safe, but it is a bit on the pricier side in comparison to other islands.

There are 2 or 3 main areas for "stuff" in Barbados... there's the area around Worthing Beach / Carlisle Beach / Christchurch - just south of Bridgetown known as St Lawrence Gap / Oistins.
There's Speightstown
...and there's St James - known as the platinum coast. St James has good beaches and some of the best restaurants and bars on the Island. Great supermarkets for the self-catering traveller and amazing hotels for those who want cosseting.

I only spent a day in St James but I found it to be more peaceful than the Southern coast. The beache I visited was just as lovely as the nicest beach I visited in Worthing. there were fewer shopping opportunities as the area is mostly residential with more impressive hotels

Great location with plenty of nice bars, restaurants, beach access and shops. Busy highway running through but accommodation is plentiful and it isn’t hard to find a quiet spot.
The Tides, Seashed and Fusion are all great options. Buses and taxis readily available everywhere.

St James is an excellent area for a Beach holiday.
St James is an excellent area for a Beach holiday.
But I’m biased I was born in St James. I always return there.
There are very nice pubs and restaurants, you get to see the sun go down. It easy to get to other part of the island. Great public transport links.
Holetown has the Limegrove shopping precinct and a vibrant night life. Massey’s supermarket and Cave Shepherd shopping experience, if you run out of funds there are several cash machines and Banks available.
We had a lovely time at Alamanda apartment.
The apartment is very nice, spacious and comfy - everything just like in the pictures.
Denise is really kind superhost. The cake she baked for us was delicious!
The location is good - you can easily walk to a lovely and quiet Paradise beach, supermarket, or a bus stop.
However, we would recommend to rent a car to explore this area more easily.
We fully recommend to stay at Denise’s and thank her again to have such a pleasant stay in St.James - Barbados.
Good size well equipped room, nice terrace with access to a nice quiet pool. Choice of 3 pools but we only used the one outside our room. Hotel spread over several buildings in landscaped grounds. Plenty of parking. Nice touches like having a bagel in the room on arrival with butter, soft, cheese and marmalade. Free to use chairs and beach umbrellas you could take to the beach just over the road.
Breakfast was OK but a bit limited by the end of 2 weeks. A fresh fruit bowl, some salad options and more variety has been had elsewhere. Evening meals are fine: Hotel cooking. Not hugely bajan. Bbds prices abound. Last day had a (good) burger and beer for lunch -£30. Rooms are good, not huge and those at rear of property do suffer with some road noise in mornings. Lovely gardens.
Location was excellent. Having use of other hotels in the group and the free water taxi is a massive bonus. Water sports included too was also a bonus. Hotel was clean although starting to look tired in places. Having a coffee and wine bar servicing nice coffee was also great. Children's club very welcoming and had lots for the kids to do
The hospitality, service, safety, cleanliness, location, and community were exceptional. Coral Lane felt like our home away from home. A little oasis that welcomed our family like no other place I’ve stayed before in Barbados. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our family trip that much more memorable.
Breakfast was decent. This place should not be listed as an all-inclusive. I recently visited, with high hopes but left utterly disappointed. The service was not just lacking; it was downright poor. I asked for my room to be provided additional water bottles and was told to purchase water from the hotel store.
The Colony Club was absolutely gorgeous and just perfect for a stay on the Platinum Coast. the staff were amazing - friendly, helpful and would always have time for us. Our swim-up room was just stunning. The beach by the hotel was beautiful too!!
I like the hotel, the grounds. The friendly staff. The fact that there was always something to do. I came to celebrate my 70th birthday, not only did the staff make it an exceptional birthday, but the hotel guests made it even more enjoyable.
The apartment was clean and very comfortable allowing for a relaxing vacation. The location was ideal, close enough to great eating places as well as some of the amazing beaches of Barbados. Would definitely recommend.
Loved the bedroom but unfortunately the rest of the hotel was abit tired . Not many guests so you would have thought they would have made sure that the rest of the hotel was looking amazing as they had the time
