This was my first time to London and I loved it. It was a clean and vibrant city. People there were very friendly and approachable. There is so much to see and do there. The river cruise was a great way to get a quick feel for the history. Westminster Abbey is a must.

The biggest problem with London is how crowded it is.

The biggest problem with London is how crowded it is. Nearly everywhere we went, there were crowds of people hustling to get somewhere, and it was quite annoying. The only areas that we felt comfortable walking around were outside the center. There we could see the wonderful local architecture and walk around comfortably. Everyone talks about the underground, but the buses are actually better in some ways. Taking the bus is a great way to get around London, for it is inexpensive, comfortable, and goes all over. However, it can be quite problematic when there is an event going on. We waited at a bus stop for about 30 minutes before a driver of another bus going in the opposite direction yelled to us from her driver's side window "The buses aren't coming!" If they just put up a sign at the bus stop that such a problem was possible that day, it would save a lot of hassle. I do love the theater scene--so diverse and fun. When in London, you have to see a musical/play. It is so entertaining. It is much better than a movie or TV show. There is nothing like a live performance, and there are so many theaters there to see one. You have to do it. I was so surprised by how many sweet shops are in London. It seemed every street had another, different kind of sweet shop. As someone that is trying to avoid eating too many sweets, I was disappointed by their seemingly omnipresence. But one of them was very good: an ice cream shop called Amorino Gelato on Buckingham Palace Road. You choose up to four flavors of ice cream and then they give the ice cream to you in the shape of a rose, with the "petals" the flavors you requested. Very good. One last thing: my kids loved the Green Park because the squirrels there were so friendly. My kids were able to give the squirrels peanuts straight from their hands--it was amazing! Both of my daughters were just thrilled by this experience, saying it was one of the best they had ever had.

It is recommended to visit the Christmas lights in November as there are less crowds. It was so crowded with people everywhere it could have been Christmas Eve. There were so many crowds that it ruined quite a bit of our experience and I’ve been to London several times. I’m not sure when there is a good time to visit anymore if November was like this!

If you like walking and exploring back streets then London...

If you like walking and exploring back streets then London is the place for you. The city pubs are definitely worth going into. Very expensive but worth it for the experience of the city. The subway might be confusing at first but you'll soon get used to it. Use your credit or debit card. Don't buy an oyster card. Be ready for walking with crowds. London is a hive of people all going places. It's full of tourist groups, solo travellers and locals. It's a mad house. Head out to the more quiet areas like Mayfair, Kensington.. Hyde park.. its a beautiful place. Personally I didn't enjoy china town but the soho area in general was great. Good food. London is full and mean full of street food vendors.. you'll be spoilt for choice. Have a good trip 👍

My 4th time staying at St Athans and the experience has been overwhelmingly positive each time. Staff are friendly, Zeeshan in particular was very warm and helpful with the check in experience. Location is perfect and the hotel is always clean and up to a good standard. In terms of value for money it is everything I need. I travel for work and even though my company have now moved office across London, I will continue to stay at St Athans because of the great service and fantastic value for money.

Good location, clean apartments with good facilities, helpful main office reception and a short walk to the apartment which was ready early which was a bonus. Stayed for a concert and the Eventim arena which is a short walk away, lovely food at The Grove which is next to the reception building and you get 20% off there as a guest if you take your paperwork with you. No parking but you can book a car park or driveway within easy reach of the hotel easily or get the train/tube in.

Nice bar and seating area. Lovely rooms. Exactly what you want from a central London hotel. Only cost £2 more than what Premier Inn and Travelodge wanted for their basic rooms. But, this was obviously 10x nicer.
