Park Plaza London Westminster Bridge, hotel in London

Located on the South Bank of the Thames, Park Plaza London Westminster Bridge is set opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, on the South Bank.

Location was outstanding! Views of Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye were amazing. Easy access to Waterloo Station was also convenient. Also they ask if you will need your room cleaned during your stay. Our stay was only 3 nights so we said no. They gave us each a bottle of wine for helping with conservation.

London is an amazing place to visit.

London is an amazing place to visit. The beautiful historic architecture with such importance is such an enlightening exciting experience to see. The many people there - tourists, artists, people who are working there etc - are so exciting to see too and they along with the beautiful buildings are what makes London such an exciting place to be. It is a profound wonderful lifetime experience to be there and there is never a moment when there is nothing to do.

London is fantastic city but the Carlton Hotel is just awful. We chose the hotel based on location and photos on website of Booking.com, from the outside it looks fine but once inside we found what I would describe as “student accommodation “ and even that is being charitable

Best thing about London is the subway system; it goes all over and runs frequently. London as a city has so much to offer - museums, history, cultures, etc. it depends what you like. It is also within easy (day) reach of other places like Cambridge, Oxford, Stonehenge, Bath, etc.

Great city! So much to see!

Great city! So much to see! Bikes rule the road which was awesome. It was very refreshing to see so many joggers and cyclists and infrastructure FOR them. No road rage, no one threatened a cyclist or threw anything.... Didn't see a single accident in 9 days! The tube system was awesome and again, people kept to them selves. No one listening to phones on full blast with out headphones. Something for everyone. If you're in to touristy stuff, there's plenty of site seeing. There's immersive experiences, so many different genres of food! I loved that all the coffee joints weren't too sweet. Vampire pizza in Camden is a lost boys themed pizza joint that was delicious! Shoreditch was full of amazing lil restaurants... Ticca Tikka was really great Indian and there were over ten Vietnamese places on the same street. All good. Afternoon tea should not be skipped, one of my favorite experiences. We went to the Bond street tea rooms. Superb. If you love Christmas, it's everywhere! The whole city is lit up and there's roasting chestnuts and mulled wine etc everywhere! Little Xmas markets all over. Winter wonderland at Hyde park was a must.... I could go on and on. If you like exploring new cities, you'll love London!

    Personally I wouldn't visit again.

Personally I wouldn't visit again. I don't understand the popularity. Yes there is a lot to see but I didn't get a good feeling of it I just couldn't enjoy my stay. Too many people everywhere you go and it was always stressful trying to stay alert for your belongings not to mention that it is expensive for non-europeans. We enjoyed the time we spent in pubs for the good food and cosy atmosphere but that's all.

The staff was very helpful, letting me stow my luggage before checking in and after checking out. The breakfast was adequate, but not like the full English breakfast I've had on other trips to England. (However, apparently, very few B & B's and hotels are serving the full breakfast anymore, at least as a part of your room charge.) The location is very convenient with the proximity to the Victoria Coach Station and train station, making it very easy to get around London. Also, the cost for 6 nights in London was exceptional.

I've stayed at the Balham Lodge on previous occasions. It's a cheap'n'cheerful spot in part of London where I have a good friend, so although it may appear a bit off the beaten track, it's actually easy to reach on public transport and a nice, quiet locale. Unusually for cheap hotels/b&b-s in London, the rooms (at least the ones I've stayed in) have decent-sized bathrooms and good quality showers. Facilities are clean, fairly basic and no one could reasonably expect any more at these prices.

The hotel was in a good location, about a 10 minute walk to the tube, access to taxis and an easy walk to London CBD. The whole apartment building was beautifully maintained and elegant but our individual apartment needed a few repairs and was not of the same standard. Issues were dealt with by the office as quickly as possible. The apartment was clean, the bed was comfortable but if you are using the lounge room as a bedroom there is limited room.

Probably one of the best places I've stayed on many work trips to London. For the same price as a hotel chain I got a night in a beautiful apartment, a short walk from the office. Would definitely stay here again if I get the opportunity.
