Having been to London many times, it never disappoints!

Having been to London many times, it never disappoints! It's full of life; there's always something to do and see. Has a great vibe and beautiful architecture. The only thing I slightly dislike is the underground. However, I am comparing it to the Subway in New York where their trains are more spacious, comfortable and have air conditioning. I love the mixture of old, historical avenues and cobbled streets alongside the huge, contemporary shops. Finally, I love the accent.

Great transport we used the tube a lot. Visited this time Harrods, paradox museum, view from the Shard, looking for Roman ruins, back to the future show. We did lots of walking as well, felt very safe at all times. We ate at five guys in front of the Shard which was great. Little supermarket shops were very expensive

London is a wonderful city, plenty to see and do on a stay.

London is a wonderful city, plenty to see and do on a stay. People were very friendly and helpful, getting around was easy and well signposted, albeit a bit expensive. Plenty of places to eat and drink with a wonderful variety of food type. Museums are free to visit which is exceptionally unusual but very welcome to any visitor to the city.

London changing like our home city of Edinburgh ! Need to book everything , museums exhibitions mobbed with visitors ! Why are we not charging them as we have to pay abroad ? All our galleries free entry , we need to start charging to protect our heritage ! London an iconic city but needs investment like any other . Transport amazing , culture , history fantastic , Theatres best in the world , will still come back every year but needs to invest !

I’ve been staying in cheap hotels part of the week for work since moving out of London about a year ago and have stayed in some ok places and some real dives (Not looking at you Forest Gate Hotel…) The Amhurst is easily the best of the lot so far. It was super clean, the owner was really friendly and it was generally cozy. Top marks. Bonus tip: ten minute walk away is a chip van that does the best fish and chips in London! Location, price, cleanliness is a big one! I've stayed in the cheaper hotels in London and they have been horrible. This is the execption. Keep up the cleanliness and fair price. I will keep coming back. Great for lone travellers, maybe a couple of friends in town for a show or concert. I probably wouldn't stay here for a holiday with my family.
