It was amazing I travelled alone and had the best 2 days ever I stayed in Wimbledon but I visited the buddhist temple twice and Buckingham Palace ...big Ben... the London Eye all in 2 days oh and watched Swan lake in the theatre ... I will be returning in the future
We find that walking rather than taking the tube everywhere, if you are able to, means we find quieter areas, there are so many small parks dotted around, perfect for a rest if needed (depending on weather, of course). You don't have to go far to find an area that feels more relaxed and 'village' like than the busy hustle, bustle of the main city areas. Combining days of staying in the city centre and walking with using the tube to get to other areas, such as Greenwich, has meant we get more out of our visits to London. We try to use smaller, local places to eat, not the major companies/franchises, this can a lot of the time mean better quality, freshly prepared food at more reasonable prices, better service and no queues.
Fabulous short stay. Amazing atmosphere no you never run out of things to do and a lot of free stuff. Our apartment was right next to tube so very easy to get around although it’s just a short walk to Westminster bridge anyway where there is so much to do. Endless places to eat and lots of small supermarkets to stock up on essentials
Walked 68 miles in 7 full days- that's in addition to Tube/train/bus travel. Had several FULL planned days, with a couple of flex days . . . but they filled up quickly. Didn't make it around to all of the places I wished to see, but that just means I can make another trip! I usually limit my trips to 7 days . . . as exhaustion seems to creep up by then and threaten to dampen the enjoyment.
I have been in London countless times. It is definitely the city of my heart. Since Brexit, I was there for the first time and unfortunately there were some disappointments. There are things that have changed, but that doesn't change my warm feelings for this city and the country. London is a city you either love or don't at all. For me, London is like my second home.
London is a huge place, it is never enough to visit just once. Depending on your style, you may want to visit Camden Market for its ethnic style, Harrods, or Coven Garden, or BatterSea Power Station Mall, for a shopping experience, Soho for alternative shops or walking, Hyde Park for walking in the parks with miles of green grass in front of you, Borough Market under the London Bridge for different food flavours and of course Oxford Street if your are into browsing the boutiques. Some more special preferences might be the Watkins bookshop in Covent Garden for those who like esoteric bookshops or the Forbiden Planet Store in the same area for those into Comics and Superheroes. The Natural History Museum is a must, especially if you have young children. Don't miss Cafe Concerto for a luxuruious style bakery or coffee experience.
Hammersmith and Fulham, London
-very conveniently located, and withing very close reach of shops, restaurants, public transport, and attractions -cheaper than nearby hotels -the host was friendly and responsive, and provided very clear instructions on how to check-in and out - very reasonable price for a flat in a decent street in Kensington - served the intended purpose of being somewhere to sleep and get ready during our stay in London. - basic toiletries provided - we didn't use the kitchen but it seemed fairly well-equipped, and the shower was clean
Nothing went well here, didn't even have bar soap, had to ask for basic supplies that other hotels provide. But day clerk named Pritess (I spelled it wrong, Indian guy) was very ice and tried to be helpful. Came from India to study in London, so he did not know about London, either. He was far more willing and better attitude than the night clerk on Sept 13. He printed out things for me about tickets and itineraries and made phone calls for me, cos i don't have British phone service.
Good location close to public transportation and shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room size was good when you compare it to London hotels of similar size. The modern bathroom which had a large walk-in shower, was especially welcome. We also liked the fact that the room was uncarpeted and that it faced the back, so it was nice and quiet. We could keep the window opened at night. They offered us free breakfast for the first day, which was nice.
London
It was all very good, the bedroom and bathroom were well equipped and comfortable, everything worked, the food was excellent and the staff friendly. It has a pleasant location in Wimbledon Village, about 20 minutes invigorating walk from Wimbledon tube / train station but also on a bus route. I would like to stay here again if I'm working in West London or visiting the city. It is better value than the chain hotels and a much nicer experience.
We got a really cheap rate. If we had paid more we would have been bothered about the issues I described, but we paid close to hostel prices so didn't mind for a few nights. Room a decent size, very quiet area for central London, excellent location. I have stayed in lots of budget hotels in London and probably wouldn't stay here again as it currently is. It's a shame as with a little effort it could be a decent budget hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to bus routes and tube stations. I walked to my Liverpool street offices each morning. There are plenty of Indian restaurants nearby, I had a magnificent Biriyani a block away from the hotel. Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable, not too soft. The shower warm, and the best towels any London hotel of any star (up to 4*) that i have stayed in.
London
Excellent property. Finding it for the first time and getting the keys required a bit of too and fro between the reception and the property manager, but other than that, this was one of the best apartment hotels I have stayed in. Brand new and well kept. The washer was broken in our room but they still got our laundry done. I would 100% stay here again on my next trip to London.
Tower Hamlets, London
Hand on heart I can say this is by far the best apartments I’ve stayed in every time I’m in london I book Fraser place it’s just very friendly very peaceful the staff have always sorted my requests out the prices are always reasonable especially for London as most hotels are quite expensive but the views from this apartment are amazing.
Compared to other cheap hotels London, Hotel 65 was very good. - The room was big - Good bed - There was a small fridge - Small, but ok bathroom/toilet - There was free breakfast (I didn't try it though, so I cannot give any review on it) - Daily/good cleaning
Great location in the historic part of London. Rather less expensive than other 5 star hotels nearby. Great stay if you like unusual twist about the place where you are staying - the building previously has been a main police office of the city.
Second time I have stayed at the Sidney hotel apartments. They are comfortable, well equipped and reasonably priced. The reception is good and provides all necessary help when checking in. Nice apartments for a short business stay in London
Camden, London
amazing property. almost all properties in London is not spacious at all. including all major 5 star hotels. however this property is fabulous, spacious and really nice, supportive staff members.
The location of the hotel is perfect given relatively cheap prices, very central London and less than 10mins walking distance to my office.
I stay in a lot of cheap hotels in London and this one was fine. Stayed heart 3 times. Room and bathroom was small but as expected.
The vibe , one of my best hotels in London
Price is better than other London hotels
