Many families visiting London loved staying at The Lanesborough, Oetker Collection, 41, and Claridge's.
It's a great city and with mostly flat areas so you can easily walk anywhere. Metro works PERFECTLY with almost zero delays, during the weekend you have certain lines working all night. The only bad part of London is the food, I mean, you can eat almost anywhere, but there are a LOT of spice and condiments going. London is for sure one of my favourite cities, even tough I've visited during the winter, even the grey weather suits ir perfectly. highly recommend. Natural History Museum must NOT BE MISSED!!
London is fabulous! Every corner you turn holds something else to see and do. And depending on your fitness level, most of it is walking distance apart. The tube is also invaluable. So easy to hop on and off using the maps to help. Grab a paper copy to plan on the go. It was like a wonderland for us. Walking down the famous streets. The London eye was great, but if you want stunning views at a lesser price tag try tower bridge. It's not as high but still gives a great panorama of the city. And there's also a glass walkway if you're brave enough. My son and I have barely scratched the surface. Planning trip 2 already. One thing to note though: its not the friendliest city. Be prepared to be barged into, people skipping queues, rude cashiers and general lack of manners unless. I think its just a London thing
London is an amazing city. There are lots of things to see and visit. We often travel there to see shows especially musicals and we always try to eat somewhere special e.g The Savoy, The Shard, Harrods . The Underground is amazing for getting you around the city quickly and cheaply and there are regular trains to make your journey comfortable and stress free.
London Eye best at night 5.30ish queue much shorter and sights are wonderful. Natural history museum, don't take young kids they won't appreciate it and its gets far too busy. Imperial war museum, fab if you like history. Well worth a visit. Camden and Greenwhich markets, both excellent for different reasons but go early. Download a tube map app very handy. Food is expensive in most places, lots to see and do but take comfy footwear. Keep your wits about you because there is always people looking to take advantage of travellers but otherwise its a great city
Visit was specifically to see a show. London has much to offer and there is plenty to see and do supported by a very good bus/rail/underground/taxi service if you dont want to walk. Plenty of famous attractions to see and lots of bars and varied restaurants offering food from all around the world. A very multi cultural place to visit
Museums are huge, packed with beautiful art and are free. I enjoyed not being in a car for a couple of weeks, walking and taking the tube worked out perfectly for us to explore multiple areas. Would go back in spring or summer, winter was cold! Our stay in Earls Court was central as a connection spot to many different tube lines as well as many food and drink options. A nice walk to knotting hill also.
Finding a good, reasonably-priced boutique hotel in London is not as easy as it sounds. With rail strikes a constant threat staying within reach of Heathrow seems important. The Xanadu is a great choice. Near to station, shops and restaurants in Ealing Broadway it really fits the bill. Excellent rooms, lovely staff, a lift, and a sophisticated continental breakfast (European in style) make a short stay pleasurable and comfortable. I’ll definitely stay again. A more personal experience than in chain hotels and reasonably priced.
Hammersmith and Fulham, London
-very conveniently located, and withing very close reach of shops, restaurants, public transport, and attractions -cheaper than nearby hotels -the host was friendly and responsive, and provided very clear instructions on how to check-in and out - very reasonable price for a flat in a decent street in Kensington - served the intended purpose of being somewhere to sleep and get ready during our stay in London. - basic toiletries provided - we didn't use the kitchen but it seemed fairly well-equipped, and the shower was clean
Hackney, London
I stay in London for work nearly every week and have been trying out many many different hotels and apartments, but this was by far the best. Really easy to get to, really friendly staff, gorgeous decor and the studio itself was very cool. Fab decor, everything I needed to cook for myself and eat at a proper table! It was also spotless and I could not hear any noise from the other rooms. Oh and the bed was SO comfortable. Nevermind one night...I could happily live there (and the bar was a real bonus).
Kensington and Chelsea, London
I loved this hotel so much! Compared to the most hotels in London the room was amazingly spacious! The design was beautiful & everything was provided in the small kitchen! There's also a small seating area.. bed was great & the design of the wardrobe was really nice! The area was surrounded by a lot of facilities ( coffee shops , supermarkets & pharmacies ) also it took only 20 minutes waking to reach the hyde park. Would definitely be back
The location is perfect for easy transportation into London or to Heathrow and Gatwick airports by all means of public transport. Having stayed many times by choice we love the intimacy of a smaller boutique hotel and the friendliness/helpfulness of all the staff from reception (front and office) to cleaners and Maintenance.Being very dog friendly is an exceptional bonus. We have stayed in all categories of room and the layout is very consistent.
it was so hard to find a decently priced hotel for only three adult travelers in London. This place was phenomenal. It was clean easy to check in and out. The room was a decent size so that all three of us had our own little corner to unpack and move around. As all hotels bases in London are small I didn’t expect much space, it was a pleasant stay for us. located just near Hyde Park.
I stay at Z hotels when I am traveling through London and just need a place to stay for one night before going back to Heathrow the next day. The rooms aren't huge but the bed was large and comfortable. The room was at the back of the building so it was quiet. The TV was large. The window blinds closed with the push of a button to completely block out any light.
The price seemed cheap compared to other hotels near the area (South Kensington, London) and we enjoyed very much our stay. The hotel was nicer than I expected, the lobby is comfortable and large, there is a starbucks inside, vending machine where we bought a convertor. The room we got was an ok size, small but at the same time organized.
it’s not far from the train station District Line West Brompton, that took me straight to Embarkment. in 20 minutes I was in central London. the area that the hotel is in is fairly cheap and you can find everything ! I w s alone and I did reserve last minute, so this was the best I could jet for a reasonable price.
Westminster Borough, London
The hotel is cheap and VERY close to Victoria Station. The location is also a few minutes walking from sightseeing points of London, like Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben and London Eye. Its an OK place to stay if you will spent most of your time out of the room exploring the city.
Westminster Borough, London
Modern facilities, comfortable bed, close to train stations/buses, cool vibe, quiet, good channels on TV, helpful and friendly staff. One of the best stays I had in London-I like aparthotels because I want to be able to make my own breakfast.
Cheaper than a lot of budget hotels in London. 3 minute walk away from a train station, with a Nandos! Train station is on the Jubilee Line so the O2 Arena only 15 minutes away. Easy enough to walk to Londons attractions.
The hotel is a very short walk to Earls Court tube station which makes it easy to get anywhere in London, including a direct Piccadilly line to London Heathrow. The staff were attentive and friendly.
Stopped here many times and rooms are fine. However, this is dependent upon how much you pay. At the time of writing London Hotels are very expensive for UK customers
We were stuck in London because of a storm, so had to quickly chose somewhere to stay for the night so it was easy to book, cheaper than other hotels, staff friendly.
The staff were amazing. From the check in to the bar staff. The device was first class on par with the best hotels in London.
Camden, London
Reasonable price, good location, good room size. You get what you pay for, much cheaper than most London hotels.
the room bigger than most hotels at London and friendly staff
