Best thing about London is the subway system; it goes all over and runs frequently. London as a city has so much to offer - museums, history, cultures, etc. it depends what you like. It is also within easy (day) reach of other places like Cambridge, Oxford, Stonehenge, Bath, etc.

Great city! So much to see!

Great city! So much to see! Bikes rule the road which was awesome. It was very refreshing to see so many joggers and cyclists and infrastructure FOR them. No road rage, no one threatened a cyclist or threw anything.... Didn't see a single accident in 9 days! The tube system was awesome and again, people kept to them selves. No one listening to phones on full blast with out headphones. Something for everyone. If you're in to touristy stuff, there's plenty of site seeing. There's immersive experiences, so many different genres of food! I loved that all the coffee joints weren't too sweet. Vampire pizza in Camden is a lost boys themed pizza joint that was delicious! Shoreditch was full of amazing lil restaurants... Ticca Tikka was really great Indian and there were over ten Vietnamese places on the same street. All good. Afternoon tea should not be skipped, one of my favorite experiences. We went to the Bond street tea rooms. Superb. If you love Christmas, it's everywhere! The whole city is lit up and there's roasting chestnuts and mulled wine etc everywhere! Little Xmas markets all over. Winter wonderland at Hyde park was a must.... I could go on and on. If you like exploring new cities, you'll love London!

    Personally I wouldn't visit again.

Personally I wouldn't visit again. I don't understand the popularity. Yes there is a lot to see but I didn't get a good feeling of it I just couldn't enjoy my stay. Too many people everywhere you go and it was always stressful trying to stay alert for your belongings not to mention that it is expensive for non-europeans. We enjoyed the time we spent in pubs for the good food and cosy atmosphere but that's all.

    London is a HUGE city.

London is a HUGE city. You need many days to see as much as possible. Learning to use the tube system is a cheap way to get around the city. I walked as many places as I could, but it's a really big place, so the tube is often needed. Citymapper is an easy app to use to find the routes around town. Use taxis and ubers sparingly because it will cost a fortune and take forever. London traffic is really, really bad. There is so much to see and enjoy, but one of my favorite places is St. James Park. It's just a beautiful place, especially on a sunny day, to take a long walk and enjoy the views and plentiful birds, swans, pelicans and more.

Like most capital cities, there is much to see and do.

Like most capital cities, there is much to see and do. Have a couple of things on your list to see and then just enjoy whichever part you are in. Food isn't always brilliant, but there are loads and loads of choices. Use walking and the Underground to get around. And Uber. A trip in a black cab is pricier, but a novelty to the UK. A Tour bus (hop on and off) will enable you to see central London for a first glance.

Good location, clean apartments with good facilities, helpful main office reception and a short walk to the apartment which was ready early which was a bonus. Stayed for a concert and the Eventim arena which is a short walk away, lovely food at The Grove which is next to the reception building and you get 20% off there as a guest if you take your paperwork with you. No parking but you can book a car park or driveway within easy reach of the hotel easily or get the train/tube in.

Room was a nice temperature, a carton of real milk in the fridge was a nice touch, location right in the middle of Green Lanes couldn’t be beaten. I liked it. I use cheap hotels in London every week or two for work so I’ll be back if it remains at that price point.
