Well after a long trip, I showed up in a hostel, where they denied my stay because I was too old for their age policy (something that I never saw written). So we started with the wrong foot. They referred me to other places, I chose another hostel, which I was there in person, had a long line up and I booked on-line to get ahead, but made a mistake in the dates, since I chose non refundable fare, even if I told them immediately about my mistake right there, the manager refused to see them and they took my money without even an explanation. The city itself has nice landmarks but people in the streets are not nice at all. My 19 year old nephew was not impressed with the locals rudeness behaviour. So do not expect much.

London is an amazing city, it reminds me so much of New York and Toronto. Just walk down any street and you will find activities going on. While in London we saw a soccer game between Crystal Place and Liverpool. We also saw an NFL football game between the NY Jets and Minnesota Vikings. We took a trip to Tate Modern and checked out the panoramic view of the dome of St Paul's Cathedral. We learned the difference between the London Underground and Overground trains. We also took the National Rail trains to our soccer game in South London and the NFL match in Tottenham Stadium.

We were very central to what we wanted to do.

We were very central to what we wanted to do. When we wanted transport the hotel staff organized it for us. Staff were very friendly but I think Australians need to know the protocol concerning tipping as it is not generally part of our scene. We ate at the restaurants nearby especially liked the Italian restaurant in Spring Street and the Lebanese one on the same side of the street.

    London is a cosmopolitan city.

London is a cosmopolitan city. There is so much to see and do. One can walk along Thames Embankment, hop on a bus to go to Hyde Park, Marble Arch, Oxford St., Regent St., SoHo and so many sights in the West End. One has a choice of so many stores to shop in and restaurants to eat in and Markets to visit. London has very efficient public transport by tube and bus. Visit to the museums is free. There are so many theatres in the West End. Visits to Greenwich Observatory by Uber Boat is a delight with view of London from the Thames River. My 4th time staying at St Athans and the experience has been overwhelmingly positive each time. Staff are friendly, Zeeshan in particular was very warm and helpful with the check in experience. Location is perfect and the hotel is always clean and up to a good standard. In terms of value for money it is everything I need. I travel for work and even though my company have now moved office across London, I will continue to stay at St Athans because of the great service and fantastic value for money.

Coming back to London regularly and having been to different apartments and hotels I can say this apartment was the best accommodation I have ever had. It was modern, absolutely clean, well equipped and well kept. The bed was extremely comfortable. The tube station is just a 2-minutes walk away. The area is nice and just a 20 minutes ride from Green Park. Everything in the building is modern and new. Getting in with all the information provided in advance was very easy!

This is a real no nonsense hotel it's quite outdated looking but being one of the cheapest hotels in London near a underground station it's nearly worth just living with it. When checking out you simply drop your key card in a mailbox at the desk and away you go.
