Hotel in Canary Wharf and Docklands, London
Britannia International Hotel Canary Wharf has spacious rooms and limited free WiFi access in bedrooms, just 1969 feet from Canary Wharf Underground Station. This hotel is perfect for staying in London, but not staying in the hustle of London! It is a very quiet area just outside London! There is a grocery store just a 2 min walk away! The river taxi to London, or Westminster is literally a 5 min walk! Then you have the Tube at Canary Warf also 5 mins away, which will get you anywhere you are going. The Breakfast in the morning is good, and there is also a separate restaurant on site with very good food! The rooms are clean, and very quiet! The pub in the hotel is excellent and not over priced! Happy hour is even better prices! The best part of this hotel are the staff! They are very kind, and helpful. There is one especially great employee. The Pub staff are all great, but one stood out to me. Yojana Thapa is GREAT! She’s funny, kind, very good at her job, and works extremely hard, even when the place gets overly busy as it tends to do when the laborers get off work! She was the highlight of the staff! So in closing I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the London area! And when you get there stop in and meet Yojana, she’ll put a smile on your face, and serve you very well! Which is very nice especially if you’ve just gotten off a 10 hour flight from the states!

Ideally located in London, The Z Hotel Holborn has air-conditioned rooms, a bar, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Was expecting a very budget stay, however, the friendliness and professional attitude of the staff was presently surprising and made the stay much more enjoyable. We booked this hotel as we were going to a day festival and just needed somewhere inexpensive to crash overnight. We arrived a few hours before check-in and the staff happily stored our bags. When we arrived later that night (around midnight) the desk attendant let us in and when I handed over my luggage token I was quickly given my room key, as check-in had already been done for us and my bag had been taken to my room, which was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and it really set this place apart from other budget hotels (such as easy hotel etc). The room was very small and had no windows (as we were expecting) but it was very clean and had everything we needed. I will definitely stay here again if the need arises.

We usually come to London between Christmas and New Year and it’s lovely but this year was extremely busy so we couldn’t do as much. We gave up on madame tussauds even though we prebooked our tickets as the queues were 3hrs long! Instead we got a cab to Covent Garden where we ambled around listening to street opera and magicians which always make it worth going there. This time we visited a restaurant called Tuttons and only waited 10-15 minutes for a table for five so pretty good. Beautiful carpaccio starter but I chose badly the main course and should have kept it Italian! They make some lovely cocktails which I recommend! Cable cars over the river were a thrill as they’re much higher than we imagined. Our accommodation was the Sunborn Yacht Hotel at Canary Wharf which I’ve reviewed also. Fantastic place to stay instead of a normal hotel and will return for a romantic weekend next time, leaving the rest of the family at home 😆. The only way to travel is by cab as they know everything and you rarely get ripped off especially if it’s a real Londoner driving. River taxis are also a great ride for sightseeing and they certainly do move fast. Of course everywhere you go there is something to see especially when it comes to beautiful architecture through the ages. The new Lego store is awesome!!! All in all a great visit.
The hotel overall was good. Room was small but it seems like ALL rooms mostly are limited in space but we were able to move around comfortably. For my first time in London it might have been far from the major tourist areas and it was always a 20 min metro ride but it was walking distance to Notting Hill. The neighborhood its in is really nice and quiet so sleep was great.
London is fabulous. But research the big events prior to going. During the week was fine, but the weekend was absolutely mobbed because of Wimbledon, The Rolling Stones, and Pride. Major intersections were closed and we had trouble getting back to do what we wanted in time and ended up walking a lot further. Also, the “timed entry” on many things doesn’t matter. They mix in everyone, timed or not so don’t bother. Go early or late. Some museums have evening hours and that was less crowded. Friday night we had high tea at Ochre at The National Gallery then toured afterwards because it’s open til 9. Book high tea way ahead. It’s very fun. And those do need reservations, at the more expensive places. Pubs are less crowded before 5 and those pies are amazing at most pubs. Walk on the Jubilee at night. Great views. Take the Thames Clipper to any destination. Cheap and fast. Go to the Tower when it opens and hit the Jewels first thing. Liberty is a great store if you’re a girl and like to shop. We liked it more than Harrods. And finally, if you’re a Jane Austen fan, take the 1 hr. train to Alton (from Waterloo station) to her house and museum in Chawton. She wrote/revised her 6 most famous novels there. Tons of fun.
Plan ahead and enjoy the sights! We enjoyed Tower of London, Lion King show, St Paul’s, Wembley, LEGOLAND, Greenwich and Natural History Museum. All brilliant! Debit card on underground along with TFL Go app were vital!
If you haven't visited central London before, then you must. The place is awesome - everywhere you look you are surprised - in a good way. Too many places to list here, just go and see it for yourself.
My trip to London was cut short by two days due to the national railway strike that occurred on 25JUN22. This made my arrival not possible, and I was booked and paid for two days in London that I could not get back... London is great.
The location is perfect for easy transportation into London or to Heathrow and Gatwick airports by all means of public transport. Having stayed many times by choice we love the intimacy of a smaller boutique hotel and the friendliness/helpfulness of all the staff from reception (front and office) to cleaners and Maintenance.Being very dog friendly is an exceptional bonus. We have stayed in all categories of room and the layout is very consistent.
Hotel room was fine, small, but not unlike most budget London hotels. Location is excellent, very near Paddington and the Heathrow Express with lots of banks and restaurants in walking distance. Kensington Park and Hyde Park are within walking distance and there are a few hop on hop off bus tour stops nearby. Breakfast was included and adequate to start the day.
Tower Hamlets, London
Hand on heart I can say this is by far the best apartments I’ve stayed in every time I’m in london I book Fraser place it’s just very friendly very peaceful the staff have always sorted my requests out the prices are always reasonable especially for London as most hotels are quite expensive but the views from this apartment are amazing.
The room size was ok for families in comparison with the other hotels in London city center The staff was very friendly, I remember Tariq in reception and all others in reception as well but I don't know their names. Belly and his colleagues in the restaurant were very nice and friendly. The breakfast options were limited.
Large, clean room in a perfect location for London exploring and trains. Cheaper than the Premier Inn and significantly larger and more comfortable, so I worked from there in the morning rather than head to the office straightaway. Easy transfer to City Thameslink or Blackfriars, and very close to the sites at Bank or Southbank.
Rooms are small but that’s fine - there is so much to do in the City. Not cheap, but nothing reasonable in London is. Can’t fault it and a stopover hotel for work or leisure. Good sized dining room, bar, coffee lounge downstairs. Really, much better than I expected. A definite step up from Premier Inn. Stylish and modern.
Breakfast was very good. The men serving breakfast were efficient and accommodating. Of course the ladies in the kitchen did a great job cooking the food. Bed's we're comfortable, rooms quite small but we realized coming from the USA that would be the case in most hotels in London.
Compared to other cheap hotels London, Hotel 65 was very good. - The room was big - Good bed - There was a small fridge - Small, but ok bathroom/toilet - There was free breakfast (I didn't try it though, so I cannot give any review on it) - Daily/good cleaning
Very comfortable room and great service. Bed was comfortable, even had comfortable pillows, which is usually a challenge for me. Breakfast was delicious. We've stayed at two Firmdale hotels now in London, liked them both. This one had a great location, walkable to many places.
City of London, London
Only 100m from my office, very clean and functional. Good kitchen facility. Functional sofa. Bed comfortable and bathroom good. Pleasant change from staying in in hotels Easy access. Very good value for money and a very satisfactory stay.
Westminster Borough, London
I wouldn't spend my honeymoon there, but the Carlton is a great value, cheap no frills hotel, in great Central London location. The room was perfectly clean. All transport links close by. Close to London tourist sites.
Clean, comfortable bedroom, location was not so bad, modern, TV can connect with Samsung phone so able to watch Neflix or something else, floor heater on bathroom(only), price is cheaper than other hotels in London
Location was perfect! Classic look, but clean updated and not dingy like a lot of “classic” hotels! They literally thought of my every possible need. My new go to in London!
I’ve stayed in a lot of cheap hotels in London and this is the best one I’ve been at. big room, 24/7 desk, very comfortable, towels and toiletries. really good hotel.
There was nothing positive about this hotel. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and apartments in London and this is the worst. Also paid more than usual for the privilege.
We were stuck in London because of a storm, so had to quickly chose somewhere to stay for the night so it was easy to book, cheaper than other hotels, staff friendly.
It was the cheapest hotel around London. For the price is was totally fine.
Cheap for a hotel in london
The staff Anna, Ahmed and Annetta made sure that our stay was the best possible! They were professional, courteous, accommodating and made sure every detail was taken care of. Ahmed cooked us a delicious made-to-order English breakfast every morning and front desk staff Anna and Annetta were amazing.
The service was great The employers are professionals The concierge solved all the requirements Everything was absolutely great
