    London is a HUGE city.

London is a HUGE city. You need many days to see as much as possible. Learning to use the tube system is a cheap way to get around the city. I walked as many places as I could, but it's a really big place, so the tube is often needed. Citymapper is an easy app to use to find the routes around town. Use taxis and ubers sparingly because it will cost a fortune and take forever. London traffic is really, really bad. There is so much to see and enjoy, but one of my favorite places is St. James Park. It's just a beautiful place, especially on a sunny day, to take a long walk and enjoy the views and plentiful birds, swans, pelicans and more.

Like most capital cities, there is much to see and do.

Like most capital cities, there is much to see and do. Have a couple of things on your list to see and then just enjoy whichever part you are in. Food isn't always brilliant, but there are loads and loads of choices. Use walking and the Underground to get around. And Uber. A trip in a black cab is pricier, but a novelty to the UK. A Tour bus (hop on and off) will enable you to see central London for a first glance.

Its diversity, cultural richness, and vibrant spirit make it an incredible place to explore and experience. From the beautiful green spaces like Hyde Park to the bustling markets, there's always something new and exciting to discover. The city's resilience and dynamic energy are truly inspiring. Every visit offers a mix of history, modernity, and endless opportunities to immerse oneself in unique experiences. The welcoming and diverse community adds to the charm, making London a city that embraces change and celebrates diversity. Whether it's strolling along the Thames, visiting world-class museums, or enjoying the lively arts and theatre scene, London has something for everyone. It's a city that never ceases to amaze and inspire. I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences I've had here, and I look forward to many more. This was my first time to London and I loved it. It was a clean and vibrant city. People there were very friendly and approachable. There is so much to see and do there. The river cruise was a great way to get a quick feel for the history. Westminster Abbey is a must.

The biggest problem with London is how crowded it is.

The biggest problem with London is how crowded it is. Nearly everywhere we went, there were crowds of people hustling to get somewhere, and it was quite annoying. The only areas that we felt comfortable walking around were outside the center. There we could see the wonderful local architecture and walk around comfortably. Everyone talks about the underground, but the buses are actually better in some ways. Taking the bus is a great way to get around London, for it is inexpensive, comfortable, and goes all over. However, it can be quite problematic when there is an event going on. We waited at a bus stop for about 30 minutes before a driver of another bus going in the opposite direction yelled to us from her driver's side window "The buses aren't coming!" If they just put up a sign at the bus stop that such a problem was possible that day, it would save a lot of hassle. I do love the theater scene--so diverse and fun. When in London, you have to see a musical/play. It is so entertaining. It is much better than a movie or TV show. There is nothing like a live performance, and there are so many theaters there to see one. You have to do it. I was so surprised by how many sweet shops are in London. It seemed every street had another, different kind of sweet shop. As someone that is trying to avoid eating too many sweets, I was disappointed by their seemingly omnipresence. But one of them was very good: an ice cream shop called Amorino Gelato on Buckingham Palace Road. You choose up to four flavors of ice cream and then they give the ice cream to you in the shape of a rose, with the "petals" the flavors you requested. Very good. One last thing: my kids loved the Green Park because the squirrels there were so friendly. My kids were able to give the squirrels peanuts straight from their hands--it was amazing! Both of my daughters were just thrilled by this experience, saying it was one of the best they had ever had.

The staff was very helpful, letting me stow my luggage before checking in and after checking out. The breakfast was adequate, but not like the full English breakfast I've had on other trips to England. (However, apparently, very few B & B's and hotels are serving the full breakfast anymore, at least as a part of your room charge.) The location is very convenient with the proximity to the Victoria Coach Station and train station, making it very easy to get around London. Also, the cost for 6 nights in London was exceptional.

Unfortunately I would not recommend the hotel, it was very dirty in my room mould in the shower room and hair there was no tv remote and my room was right next to reception office and was very loud lots of banging doors and staff looked miserable . I’m not one to complain but I was on a trip to London and just wanted somewhere early to get to and stay at but unfortunately I will not be coming back , also took photos of room for proof . The only good part was the bed was comfy .

The room I was booked into was just amazing I’d recommend this place more than Travelodge/premier inn type hotels etc because this room is like a studio flat, so homely, close by to central London and what makes it that much more special is the staff and without them we wouldn’t have places like these so thank you for what you do here I appreciate and love the place and will definitely stay again and again
