We usually come to London between Christmas and New Year and it’s lovely but this year was extremely busy so we couldn’t do as much. We gave up on madame tussauds even though we prebooked our tickets as the queues were 3hrs long! Instead we got a cab to Covent Garden where we ambled around listening to street opera and magicians which always make it worth going there. This time we visited a restaurant called Tuttons and only waited 10-15 minutes for a table for five so pretty good. Beautiful carpaccio starter but I chose badly the main course and should have kept it Italian! They make some lovely cocktails which I recommend! Cable cars over the river were a thrill as they’re much higher than we imagined. Our accommodation was the Sunborn Yacht Hotel at Canary Wharf which I’ve reviewed also. Fantastic place to stay instead of a normal hotel and will return for a romantic weekend next time, leaving the rest of the family at home 😆. The only way to travel is by cab as they know everything and you rarely get ripped off especially if it’s a real Londoner driving. River taxis are also a great ride for sightseeing and they certainly do move fast. Of course everywhere you go there is something to see especially when it comes to beautiful architecture through the ages. The new Lego store is awesome!!! All in all a great visit.
The hotel overall was good. Room was small but it seems like ALL rooms mostly are limited in space but we were able to move around comfortably. For my first time in London it might have been far from the major tourist areas and it was always a 20 min metro ride but it was walking distance to Notting Hill. The neighborhood its in is really nice and quiet so sleep was great.
My partner and I have enjoyed all of our trips into and around London. Public transport is very easy if you know the routes you need to take to get to your destination. Everyone is very helpful, from the hotel staff to the black cab drivers who will engage in conversation with you if you do, to which they are very informative.
It was my first time in London, and being a big city lover and being from a big city ( Rio De Janeiro ) myself I personally didn't like it, except the hotel we stayed CitizenM Victoria, the Borough Market and the people we met along the way. Londoners were great people although!!!
The staff are well trained and love to help. Every where you sit or dwell is a lovely view and experience. It is a busy place , with lots of quite areas. The room sizes are very good and the bathrooms all have full glass windows to take in the views, so high up no one can see you.
Our London trip was for our religious Ashara Congregation for 10 days plus 4 days for sightseeing. Considering our long stay Booking dot com failed to identify n provide us a comfortable hotel room which was reasonable, large & close to our Northolt event venue. I was only given 10 options when I tried to search for hotels near Northolt which were all above our budget for 13 nights. The hotel property which I selected was 11 metro stops on central line from our main venue, but the rooms were small n costly. I would have gotten bigger room at same price closer to Northolt n saved lots of time in travelling after long 12 hour event every day. Please filter tourist with 2 days stay n 1week/ 2 week stays.
Kensington and Chelsea, London
This place deserves a perfect mark 10/10. I am a frequent traveler to London and I stayed in various hotels and apartments and I can say confidently that 130 Queen's gate is among the best and it is a true 5 star property. Location is ideal , facilities are new and modern. Daily room service is complete. Friendly , welcoming ,helpful and smiling faces caring staff are always available to help. Apartment space is adequate . Facility is always kept clean. I will definitely return there if I am in the south Kensington area.
Brilliant location, really quiet in our lovely comfortable room (4th floor) which was well soundproofed. Extremely comfy beds and pillows! Well furnished, very clean and will definitely return to stay again. Having stayed in many hotels and apartments in & around Paddington when visiting London to go to the opera or shows, this is definitely now our favourite. Helpful staff in reception, nice calm atmosphere, and a very nice scent in the main lobby! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Contrary to other negative reports, I found this hotel to be a great value for the price. The rooms are small and efficiently designed, but not unlike other European hotels that must maximize the use of limited space. Reception was very friendly and accommodating and the location is hard to beat. You can walk to so many areas of central London and the nearby train station will take you everywhere else, including a direct route to the airport.
Hammersmith and Fulham, London
Stayed here for a few nights whilst visiting friends in London. Very good location close to both Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith stations and good shops/cafes nearby for breakfast; Sainsburys directly across the road is very convenient. Easy walking distance to Hammersmith Apollo which is why I chose this area. The room was a decent size and the hotel was sufficient enough for a place to sleep and shower. Cheap prices for the location.
The hotel was full The room wasn’t clear enough The service in reception was delaying we spent 1 hour for check in For another time I am thinking that is better the small boutique hotels or the luxury apartments they are cheaper then hostess are respecting you and you don’t spend your time for check in or asking . The swimming pool was full of children . So can’t enjoy it.
Tower Hamlets, London
Hand on heart I can say this is by far the best apartments I’ve stayed in every time I’m in london I book Fraser place it’s just very friendly very peaceful the staff have always sorted my requests out the prices are always reasonable especially for London as most hotels are quite expensive but the views from this apartment are amazing.
great location with variety of restaurants and shops around . next to south end of brick-lane Argos is next door street good on Sundays seems new hotel comfy delecious breakfast great staff I booked a room with balcony was worth the money. surprisingly spacious bathroom unlike hotels of London. quick lifts
Just what i was looking for, a bit low on funds but needed a cheap hotel near Waterloo station and the london eye to catch the Tames Clipper boat to the o2. Just a 15 minute walk & easy to find. Comfortable too, shared bathroom but clean and excellent shower facilities.
It will be hard to find better value for money in London where budget hotels are claustrophobic. This one had a huge room that was made to be comfortable. The location is prime. The price is cheap for London and especially for staying in Kensington. Overall I am happy.
Tower Hamlets, London
Excellent hostel, super friendly at reception giving info to people all the time. Good beds, clean rooms, secure lockers and very good showers. Ideal for a cheap London stay, I’ve been in many worse hotels in London for many times the price. Highly recommended
One of the best hotels in London for following reasons 1- excellent location. 2- excellent staff in reception. 3- excellent house keeping staff. 4- excellent breakfast. 5- Executive rooms very nice and with big size.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally situated for access to central London, the tube station, (especially convenient for getting to Heathrow) the British Museum and many eating places and theatres.
Great location - Right near shopping centres / city life , restaurants/bars etc . Cheap weekend rate compared to most if not all hotels across London rated 3 star and above 24:7 reception service LED lighting
Stayed in cheaper and better hotels but you are paying for location, literally a stones throw from London Eye and Embankment pier - lots of bars and restaurants. Staff lovely- Embankment tube just over the road
Just stayed here for one night, a quick and easy place. As london hotels go it was good, a more of an upmarket hotel for a cheaper price and well located. The staff were very very nice and helpful.
The location was very good, near Hyde Park, close to bus stations and supermarkets. I do not know how is the breakfast in other hotels in London but in this hotel it was minimal.
I really find it one of the best hotels in London, yah there is some challenges regarding not enough space in the room itself but in total picture the stay was excellent!
For us Draycott is one of the best hotels in London friendly staff, beautiful rooms and classy atmosphere in the heart of Chelsea, highly recomend the hotel.
Extremely good place and good breakfast. The bar is nice and bed was good. London prices are high, yet this not expensive compared to other hotels.
Westminster Borough, London
Great location and very cheap for London. Better than other hotels I have stayed in at that price. Breakfast was adequate.
