The hotel room was perfect, very quiet, clean and spacious. The staff answered all our questions with kindness. I did not know Millennium hotel but one thing is sure, we will come back. We usually come to London between Christmas and New Year and it’s lovely but this year was extremely busy so we couldn’t do as much. We gave up on madame tussauds even though we prebooked our tickets as the queues were 3hrs long! Instead we got a cab to Covent Garden where we ambled around listening to street opera and magicians which always make it worth going there. This time we visited a restaurant called Tuttons and only waited 10-15 minutes for a table for five so pretty good. Beautiful carpaccio starter but I chose badly the main course and should have kept it Italian! They make some lovely cocktails which I recommend! Cable cars over the river were a thrill as they’re much higher than we imagined. Our accommodation was the Sunborn Yacht Hotel at Canary Wharf which I’ve reviewed also. Fantastic place to stay instead of a normal hotel and will return for a romantic weekend next time, leaving the rest of the family at home 😆. The only way to travel is by cab as they know everything and you rarely get ripped off especially if it’s a real Londoner driving. River taxis are also a great ride for sightseeing and they certainly do move fast. Of course everywhere you go there is something to see especially when it comes to beautiful architecture through the ages. The new Lego store is awesome!!! All in all a great visit.
The hotel overall was good. Room was small but it seems like ALL rooms mostly are limited in space but we were able to move around comfortably. For my first time in London it might have been far from the major tourist areas and it was always a 20 min metro ride but it was walking distance to Notting Hill. The neighborhood its in is really nice and quiet so sleep was great.
Chelsea Flower Show specific reason for stay so excellent. Good dining experiences. Endless variety, brilliant shops. Historic feast of culture/architecture/entertainment & remains as one of the finest and important cities in Europe. The Chelsea Corner is a great Italian restaurant offering fine tasting dishes at reasonable London prices. Easy travelling by bus/tube/taxi/electric bikes at £2/hr
For most travelers my recommendation is to find a place near an Underground Station. As this is around my 20th visit, I can state that it's not as important which area you stay in as the fun is in visiting as many boroughs around London that you can. Great restaurants, pubs, historical locations, etc., are not confined to any one borough as there is an endless number of wonders to explore. Also, load up on an Oyster Card and don't worry about having a balance on it when you leave as you will most certainly return.
We did so much in such a small amount of time. Lion King theatre, buckingham palace, London eye, walk to Piccadilly the lego shop a must for my son and we were the until late at night open late. Good restaurants around. For family but advise booking in advance which we did. We walked around the park, saw Big Ben and Trafalgar Square on door step. Everything so close. We arrived by train in to paddington and caught metro. The children loved it all ages 4,9,10 and 14.
We loved London! It is an amazing city. There are several transport options available that make it easy to get to anything with a little planning. It was a bit overwhelming initially to navigate but we caught on quickly. Do some research regarding hotel locations though because we ended up in an area more suited to a much younger crowd. It limited our movement in the evenings because parts of Camden (mostly the main road for the area) felt a little sketchy at night. So we would definitely avoid Camden in future. Camden Town felt more like a low rent tourist trap (lots of street vendors selling the same cheap trinkets, some sketchy people, a little dirty) than the artistic vibe expressed on social media. However, access to the fantastic means of transport made it easy to get to other areas in London to explore.
Amazing location just a short block from St. Paul's Cathedral and short walk to tube and train connections. Even had a "Peek-a-View" of half the facade from our corner room window. Loved having an ice machine and guest laundry available in the hotel, and the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hrs! We stayed in many hotels and inns with more character on our trip to Ireland and England, but it was very nice to have all the modern comforts and conveniences for our last 2 days in London.
My fourth stay at The Kip, and it still doesn't disappoint. Rooms are clean, quiet and tidy. Air conditioning is a godsend, especially since every room gets a remote and can set its own temperature. Very impressed that the place still offers free tea and coffee, at the time when many other hotels cut perks. Easy connection to the city center via overground. Years after my first stay at The Kip, it remains my favorite place to stay in London, and I wouldn't want to stop anywhere else.
I chose this hotel because I had to take the Heathrow Express train at Paddington Station early the next day. The hotel is extremely convenient to Paddington Station --- just a few steps away. The staff people were very pleasant with helpful attitudes. My room was of a good size --- larger than in most London 3 and 4 star hotels. The room and bathroom were clean and modern and had a pleasant modern décor. My room was quiet, facing the side or back.
AMAZING townhouse type apartments that we were upgraded to during our 5-night stay ! Thanks again Z Hotel Soho for making our time in London extra special ! The location is perfect if you want to see West End theatre shows and enjoy the vibrant nightlife in the neighborhood (Old Compton street is right at the corner). With its comfy beds and overall fantastic apartments, we just LOVED the place and will definitely be back !
Very comfortable and clean, great staff.Rooms need abit more updating, no saving mirror in the bathroom, no mirror on the office desk to do your hair and make-up so had to either stand up in the bathroom or sit on the floor by the wardrobe. It would have been a good idea to have a hotel channel on the TV to promote all the hotels facilities, restaurant, breakfast, hire cars and what London has to offer.
Westminster Borough, London
The hotel is in a great location. It is only a few minutes from the tube line that will take you into central London and is also right on the doorstep to Kensington Gardens. We stayed for the weekend and went to the Westend, Oxford Street Shopping and Winter Wonderland (Hyde park). All were easy to get to. If your looking for a cheap hotel in a good location this place is fine. The rooms were clean.
The hotel is really good. The room is well cleaned and with a good size. They give you water and coffee machine in the room. it’s 1 minute walking from Earl’s Court station, where you can take the underground to all the places in London and to Heathrow Airport as well. I would definitely stay there again!
Excellent location for hotel in London. Everything looks like in photos. No cheating that something is bigger, better etc. Very clean hotel and it is so important for London hotels where you never know how dirty, small and dark rooms you can get 😉 Breakfast is simple but eveything that usually you need.
Price was amazing, lovely rooms although small didn't bother me. Tea, coffee, water, TV facilities. Very comfortable bed and a fantastic location right near Holborn Tube station. Much much MUCH better value for money than the other commercial hotels in London and UK (Travelodge and Premier Inn).
Camden, London
The location of the hotel was convenient, only a 10 minute walk from London St. Pancras Station. The price was also good compared to most hotels in London, the only other comparably priced accommodation I could find were hostels and I did not want to share a room so this was great.
Kensington and Chelsea, London
Used the apartments as a base for our week long holiday in London. Brilliant location, great staff and the accommodation was first class - reckon a hotel would have been a similar price but would have offered significantly less space - felt like a home from home!
City of London, London
Only 100m from my office, very clean and functional. Good kitchen facility. Functional sofa. Bed comfortable and bathroom good. Pleasant change from staying in in hotels Easy access. Very good value for money and a very satisfactory stay.
Comfortable, clean modern hotel, well located near Waterloo Station. Often relatively cheap which makes it very attractive when London is full, especially compared with similarly priced, vastly inferior hotels...
Kensington and Chelsea, London
The situation in London was good. One underground station very near incl. Piccadilly line. Both cheap and not cheap restaurants around. The big museums in walking distance. Many hotels around, too.
Tower Hamlets, London
Excellent hotel. Cool, relaxed and great service. The perfect base for a family to explore London. The apartments have great facilities and the rooms are very comfortable.
Good value for money! Good location, quiet and light room, even if rather small (but lots of cheaper hotel rooms in London are that small). Modern bathroom.
super location - room and bathroom much bigger than all other 4 star hotels that I have stayed at in London
Very good apartments in this Hotel !! The best destination in central of London.
The staff Anna, Ahmed and Annetta made sure that our stay was the best possible! They were professional, courteous, accommodating and made sure every detail was taken care of. Ahmed cooked us a delicious made-to-order English breakfast every morning and front desk staff Anna and Annetta were amazing.
It was a fantastic stay in London. You can really feel the touch of history there. Everything was just perfect - from the moment I arrived till the moment I took my cab back to the airport. The furniture, the interior - everything was elegant and stylish. And the location is the best!
