Advice to others, do not stay at the St David, the rooms are tiny, uncomfortable, antiquated (like staying in a 1970 hotel, and not a good one), the window looked onto a brick wall, which was 2 feet away. The shower room had no covered door and was not clean, the toilet was not clean and the sink was so small you could not brush your teeth properly as the water filled the small space. The door to the room has a 'snib' lock that could be opened with a small push, felt very unsafe! The worst thing was the noise, we could hear everything anyone said outside the room door, and the noise of the tube trains was horrendous, to the extend it was not just the noise, the room shook! We had no sleep what so every and left the next day to go to a different hotel. On explaining why we were leaving, was told we should expect noise in London! Absolutely appauling experience!
I highly recommend Sky Garden which is free of charge. You can have see the whole London from 35 floor. After pre or post visit sky garden, it is walking dustance to other attractions like London Bridge!
I would sum up London as being the best city in the world for tourists, and for all profiles and ages. Multicultural, cosmopolitan, rich in cuisine (which is not normal in England), wonderful parks, in short, it's worth what you pay (it's expensive, but it's worth it).
There is so much to see and enjoy, in fact the biggest challenge is to select what to go for and what not. We enjoy walking aimlessly, and London is the perfect place to do just that. Between the Tate Modern, the Design Museum, the spectacle of the street itself, the many shows in town and the endless choice of shops, restaurants and bars - it´s a lot of hard work! Planning ahead is key especially when it comes to shows and exhibitions, the big ones tend to book very early. Looking forward to our next outing to London already.
Cheapest experiences brought most joy & satisfaction :) You might miss London eye, but do not miss boat trip on the river from Westminster to Greenwich . Visit the observatory, nice view to London city. Attend the free walking tour of Theo :) Harry Potter if you have children is hit.
Clean room and heating was on most of the time, so it's warm. I will say it's value for what i paid. Not bad atall and the staffs are very helpful. I will surely recommend 👌. Good access to London central.
Modern, efficient hotel in a good location for access to the underground. Easy to reach Paddington station and the Heathrow Express to airport, as well as other lines to central London. Room was well appointed with well-lit bath and walk-in shower, comfortable bed, good seating and closet space, and a view of the park across the street. Several restaurants nearby - we enjoyed Al-Forno for a good pasta meal (the owner was most friendly). The Liz Cafe down the street is popular for breakfast and lunch.
I have stayed in several hotels in my 30 years of visiting London. For a buget hotel I continue returning to Villa Kensington located in the South Kensington area. There are no frills but it meets my needs. Which are a reasonable rate for a room I only use to sleep, and a bathe. Clean linens and a bathroom I am not afraid to use. And who can complain about a 3 minute walk to a tube station with 3 lines (including Piccadilly to Heathrow 45 mins away)? Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very comfortable and clean, great staff.Rooms need abit more updating, no saving mirror in the bathroom, no mirror on the office desk to do your hair and make-up so had to either stand up in the bathroom or sit on the floor by the wardrobe. It would have been a good idea to have a hotel channel on the TV to promote all the hotels facilities, restaurant, breakfast, hire cars and what London has to offer.
The hotel design is great. The room, the lobby. Big comfortable room, we were 3 girls + suitcases - a lot of place. Other hotels in London are more expensive and smaller rooms. Reception desk was very nice and helpful - she helped us at the self check in and also to figure out what it the best way to the airport when there was a train strike. Thank you Green tube line - very comfortable.
The room was cozy, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The cleanliness was impeccable. The staff were courteous and professional. The hotel is conveniently located on a quiet street, just a short walk from the Victoria underground station. The price/quality ratio makes this one of the better London hotels I’ve stayed in.
The hotel seems to be recently renovated, the bathroom looked nice and fresh. My room had a terrace, which is rare in the London hotels. The hotel is located just across the street from the Hyde Park and 15 min walk from the Paddington station, which is very convenient if travelling from the Heathrow airport.
Staff is friendly. The bed is comfortable. Lo e the blue light in the bathroom for use at night (red would be even friendlier ontheeyes). Breakfast is great, to the standard I expect for this brand and price. Compared to the cheaper hotels it's good value for money by London prices.
Everything was good except for the size of the room in both Z hotels ( Victoria and Tottenham Court Poland Street locations London. The rooms were exceptionally small and if I didn’t have a window, which had no view, it would feel like a luxurious prison cell.
I booked this hotel as it’s very near to my office, I loved it! staff unreal couldn’t do enough to help, room service quick & amazing! I will be staying here each time I go to the london office. I felt relaxed & comfortable here. can’t wait to return!
the Location ist very Good 5-8 Minutes to tje underground. nice and delicious restaurants are around - hotels in London are in general very expensive. If you find a cheaper opportunity take it - it’s not worth it here
For a cheap run down hotel in the center of London this is a good one. The location is very quiet, there is daily room service, the receptionist is willing to help, the wifi works fine. I'm very much satisfied
The ease of check in, the size of the bathroom, how close the hotel is to central London, how close to the tube is (and the range of food places there to eat), the fast WiFi and how cheap the room price was.
Very Clean and modern rooms, if a little small (to be expected with Victorian hotels in London though). Shower very good. Great location midway between city and Heathrow Airport.
I’ve stayed in a lot of cheap hotels in London and this is the best one I’ve been at. big room, 24/7 desk, very comfortable, towels and toiletries. really good hotel.
CitizenM is one of the best hotels in London - it's so comfy and wonderful. Also so centrally located. I love staying there and would definitely stay again
very near from Tube station just one minute and vus stations groceries beside the hotel wide and clean room comparable with London hotels
