Located in stylish Kensington, the 4-star Millennium Gloucester Hotel London is 328 feet from Gloucester Road Tube Station and just a short walk from the Victoria and Albert Museum. The hotel room was perfect, very quiet, clean and spacious. The staff answered all our questions with kindness. I did not know Millennium hotel but one thing is sure, we will come back. We usually come to London between Christmas and New Year and it’s lovely but this year was extremely busy so we couldn’t do as much. We gave up on madame tussauds even though we prebooked our tickets as the queues were 3hrs long! Instead we got a cab to Covent Garden where we ambled around listening to street opera and magicians which always make it worth going there. This time we visited a restaurant called Tuttons and only waited 10-15 minutes for a table for five so pretty good. Beautiful carpaccio starter but I chose badly the main course and should have kept it Italian! They make some lovely cocktails which I recommend! Cable cars over the river were a thrill as they’re much higher than we imagined. Our accommodation was the Sunborn Yacht Hotel at Canary Wharf which I’ve reviewed also. Fantastic place to stay instead of a normal hotel and will return for a romantic weekend next time, leaving the rest of the family at home 😆. The only way to travel is by cab as they know everything and you rarely get ripped off especially if it’s a real Londoner driving. River taxis are also a great ride for sightseeing and they certainly do move fast. Of course everywhere you go there is something to see especially when it comes to beautiful architecture through the ages. The new Lego store is awesome!!! All in all a great visit.
The hotel overall was good. Room was small but it seems like ALL rooms mostly are limited in space but we were able to move around comfortably. For my first time in London it might have been far from the major tourist areas and it was always a 20 min metro ride but it was walking distance to Notting Hill. The neighborhood its in is really nice and quiet so sleep was great.
I just don't like it, it is confusing and take so long to go anywhere that it is just not worth it, even the connectins with the airport other than london city takes around 1h, I go there just because my office is there and even though my contract is fully remote I like to catch up in peson every now and then.
London is my home city, it offers a great break. Many free museums; good prices at cafes and some pubs. Buses much more pleasant than underground travel. Recommend overseas visitors allow a week for a good look round.
Fountains Abbey great pub 👍 Michael's fish and chips cafe great food and service both close together in Paddington, open top bus tour 🤣 jump on the circle ⭕ line and get off for Madame Tussauds easy,or change at kings cross for Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square.
Lots of culture but I was down for a visit to Wembley but also wanted to go to Trafalgar Square too but you could spend weeks and not see everything getting around is so easy on buses and the underground. People were friendly. Prices can be expensive but bargains are available and relatively speaking good Theatre shows are spread out across the West Enf
Camden, London
The apartment had almost everything covered. The appliances were good. The rooms had good bedding and there was Netflix that my kids really enjoyed. The apartment was easy to locate and close to many of London's attraction points. But the management of the apartment should get the highest score. I have been to many hotels, apartments, and other similar facilities, I have never met so kind, understanding, polite, and highly professional hosts. Thank you guys for increasing the stats of great people on this planet.
Hackney, London
I stay in London for work nearly every week and have been trying out many many different hotels and apartments, but this was by far the best. Really easy to get to, really friendly staff, gorgeous decor and the studio itself was very cool. Fab decor, everything I needed to cook for myself and eat at a proper table! It was also spotless and I could not hear any noise from the other rooms. Oh and the bed was SO comfortable. Nevermind one night...I could happily live there (and the bar was a real bonus).
I really enjoyed this hotel when I stayed there for three days several days before. I went off to the southwest of England and returned to the Sloane Square Hotel for one night as I had an early flight back to New York. I had an excellent room that overlooked Sloane Square but was very quiet. Great staff at the front desk that warmly welcomed me back to the hotel. This is a "real find" in an excellent location in London. I definitely plan to return.
I booked this as an alternative to a hotel for a work trip. It’s so much nicer being able to cook for myself and settle down on a sofa rather than dine out alone. Room was spotlessly clean and really well equipped and I had a lovely welcome from Lauren on Reception. I had a great nights sleep and was perfectly placed for the office and the train station. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to other colleagues travelling to the London office.
Great location, view of Big Ben. Easy check-in. It’s a good hotel but feel the cost of the room wasn’t justified when I had stayed in the Premier Inn just round the corner for £300 less per night a month before and felt the staff were more friendly there. If you are going to use the swimming and spa facilities then stay at this hotel but if you are busy exploring the landmarks of London which most would be stay somewhere cheaper as it’s not worth it.
Hammersmith and Fulham, London
Stayed here for a few nights whilst visiting friends in London. Very good location close to both Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith stations and good shops/cafes nearby for breakfast; Sainsburys directly across the road is very convenient. Easy walking distance to Hammersmith Apollo which is why I chose this area. The room was a decent size and the hotel was sufficient enough for a place to sleep and shower. Cheap prices for the location.
City of London, London
Marlin Apartments Queen Street is one of the best solutions for families, expecially if you want your small apartment and don't be dependent from hotel hours and routine. The room has a very well furnished kitchen. Staff was extremely kind and solved a problem with the boiler in a very short time. Position is fantastic because very near to subway and DLR stops ( very convenient if you arrive at the London City Airport).
Kensington and Chelsea, London
The property is in a perfect location. literally a stroll away from local attractions such as Harrods, National History Museum and Kensington Gardens. Large spacious apartments, with kitchen, dining area, iron, hairdryer and L’Occitane toiletries in each room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Gym and Laundrette also available on site. Think I’ve finally found my go to hotel to book when visiting London now.
Great location if driving to London and easy access on tube from Gunnersbury into central London. Rooms are a decent size and quiet location so good value compared to hotels in more central locations in London that we have stayed at. On site parking was a bonus and good value (cheaper than Bristol city centre car parks). They have clearly spent a lot on the refurbishment as ground floor areas look very nice.
Great experience. We stayed for our wedding night as wanted something special and it didn't disappoint. It's a beautiful and very regal hotel. Our room was luxurious and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The best thing is the price was reasonable compared to Central London's other 5 star hotels we have stayed at.
GORGEOUS hotel and right in Victoria Station but so quiet! I couldn't believe it was priced so cheaply for London considering it is one of the most historic hotels in the area. Our room, which they upgraded for free, was fabulous and the included minibar was a nice touch. Couldn't ask for a better location or value for how nice the property was.
Tiny but excessively well-designed boutique hotel in the heart of London. The rooms are a tribute to architectural design, making a small space as functional as it can be. The staff is very much on call and eager to help. You'll love the location next to Paddington (straight in on the Heathrow Express), the Little Venice canals and Maida Vale.
The price seemed cheap compared to other hotels near the area (South Kensington, London) and we enjoyed very much our stay. The hotel was nicer than I expected, the lobby is comfortable and large, there is a starbucks inside, vending machine where we bought a convertor. The room we got was an ok size, small but at the same time organized.
Perfect location about 8 min walk to Earl's court station, room was very spacious unlike most hotels in London, furniture and finishing was nice, room service was good and always cleaned the room properly
Kensington and Chelsea, London
The situation in London was good. One underground station very near incl. Piccadilly line. Both cheap and not cheap restaurants around. The big museums in walking distance. Many hotels around, too.
Best staff around. We’ve stayed at 3 other luxury hotels in London and The Connaught is our favorite! Concierge was so helpful and took care of our every need. Room service and staff were wonderful.
Tower Hamlets, London
Excellent hotel. Cool, relaxed and great service. The perfect base for a family to explore London. The apartments have great facilities and the rooms are very comfortable.
Location of Copthorne hotel is perfect, in the heart of Kensington area. The rooms are very spacious and big unlike the standrad London hotels.
If you are looking for a nice and cheap place in a great location to discover London, this is the hotel to go with!
It was a fantastic stay in London. You can really feel the touch of history there. Everything was just perfect - from the moment I arrived till the moment I took my cab back to the airport. The furniture, the interior - everything was elegant and stylish. And the location is the best!
