PubLove @ The White Ferry, Victoria

Westminster Borough, London

PubLove @ The White Ferry, Victoria is a traditional English pub offering a range of accommodation between Victoria, Pimlico and Sloane Square stations. You can make use of its 24-hour reception, free WiFi and free walking tours.

Guests can choose private rooms or a bed in a dormitory style room. Linen is included and guests have access to in-room security lockers (bring your own towels and padlocks). The staff are absolutely fantastic, every single one of them! Friendly, helpful, accommodating, if you need anything, just ask...seriously, all of them were amazing! Rooms and facilities are all well kept, reasonably comfortable, fairly priced. Location is pretty good too, close to public transport, both during the day, as well as at night - for those who like to go out, and then come back in the wee hours of the morning. Also, from my brief experience, a safe part of London - for any solo female travellers who might be concerned. :)

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
