Score from 1810 reviews Good
slow WiFi in rooms
everything bit sparsely (no decoration etc.)
Is near city centre
Don't have eggs in breakfast
Location. Staff. Amazing value but assume because in need of upgrading
Empty mini bar. Lack of shower gel and body lotion
Central location; good access to city and transport
Nice staff and Grand Hotel feel.
Breakfast was free as it was included in the room rate. The hotel is located with all major attractions in walking distance like: 10 min walk to Central Station (Midi) /3 min walk to Manneken Pis/10 min walk to the shopping district. Lots of Halal food restaurants nearby. The room had central A/C which is fantastic! I had Wifi connection in my room not the greatest but it worked...
Very old fashioned rooms!Scanning machine on door of the room was messed up!, had to do minimum 10 swipes before it read the card and unlocked! Was very embaressing! Probably its one of the smallest room ever i stayed in any hotel with the smallest possible bed! This was a child's bed not for an adult! There was a spooky picture hung on the wall which was like casper the ghost facing exactly when you lie on the bed, well it goes with the old fashioned structure of the room but surely freak out your customers! Crazie nights!
Central location, breakfast included.
Streets around a little bit noisy
The hotel was a place of rest and peace in the middle of a busy city centre. Very good breakfast buffets.
There was no kettle or cups in my room to make tea or coffee. There was no iron available for me to use to iron just one work shirt. The hotel reception did not have one, and they wanted to charge me a lot of money to have my shirt sent away for ironing. So I didn't get the shirt ironed.
A 40 degree doona is supplied for a 20 degree room? It sort of makes sleep impossible. Rahter than use the zircon I opened the window but unfortunately it was garbage night in Brussels. It became quite a dampener on the whole experience.
great location near Grand Place and within walking distance of Midi train station. Also excellant breakfast
Wi-Fi not operable in room, had to use lobby for access.
Location, Spacious, nice breakfast
Walkable from Brussels Midi train station and the Eurostar; also walkable to the Grote Market and Mannekin Pis; impeccable room, modern bath, large lobby
Internet was not reliable in room; breakfast room was a bit of a factory
Good location, good rooms, comfortable beds, clean, good variety breakfast needs to be replenished quicker. Shower in room excellent.
No tea making facility in rooms.
The hotel is older, but well renovated. Excellent value. Good restaurants in the neighbourhood. 10 min walk to Central Station. 3 min walk to Manneken Pis.
The room is big and clean. Bed is soft and comfortable. Breakfast is very nice with many choices.
The temperature of the shower water is not stable. Sometime hot sometime cold. The door is a little difficult to open with the card.
The breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly
When I call the hotel I was told that they have a map of the city. At the hotel they only had a copy of the center of the city. The info about an ATM or bank was not helpful. We found a closer ATM. We had diner at the hotel’s restaurant and the food was good, but I was charged 10 Euro for 2 (½ liter) small bottles of water. I asked for regular tap water, we received the bottles opened already and I thought that was tap water. The worst was the taxi driver that took us to the airport. He did not turn on the meter demanded more money than the amount that the hotel said it will cost (they work together and I asked for the price twice and they said the same amount) he was very rude and unprofessional. I felt a little scared and I told him that I will pay the amount he wants, but at the airport he asked only for the amount told by the hotel. Still I paid him more, what he wanted first. His name is Mohamed. From my general experience in Brussels I do not recommend to go there.
We had a medical issue and needed a doctor on the weekend. Staff were extraordinarily helpful. Doctor came to the hotel within an hour. Thank you. We always stay at the Bedford. Nice hotel, good value, good breakfast.
Was able to walk from the Station, but would have been helpful to know this beforehand and the general direction. Was able to walk into the old city easily
The long hair in my bed when I drew back the sheets.
This hotel is of a very high standard having been recently refurbished. Excellent staff and large room. The price including breakfast made the booking excellent value.
It is located a little way from the Grand Place compared to the much more expensive hotels. Easy to find but a few hundred yards away.

Staff very nice & spoke very good English. Very willing to help :) Metro is so close & once you manage to work it out it is an excellent way to get around! Find the time to study a map before you go, as the maps in the Bedford are not easy to read!! Very clean & okay choice of food for breakfast, but some more fresh fruit would be nice :)
No Wifi in the bedrooms.. And no lan cables! Belgium is famed for connectivity & it is V. disappointing to stay in a hotel where you have to be in the lobby to use the Wifi.. Smoking rooms have no ashtrays.. Very noisy in the bedroom, I was in room 621 & was woken every morning by some neighbour having a shower! Location wise it is too out of the way for meeting in the eu quarter.. There is a metro stop behind the hotel & I suppose if you have time to figure it out, it would be a good location.. Staff should have those details for guests and also bus routes, but please explain!! Brussels is such a huge city and can be quiet difficult to find your way around but once you do figure out the Metro it is a great way to get around.. Like I said please tell the guests about it!11
Breakfast and location .
Pleasant atmosphere in lovely interior surroundings. Business like manner of employee's, but doing their job. Lounge pleasant and convenient, breakfast buffet quite adequate. Within walking distance, or bus,of all suggested sights to visit, Grand Place, Museums, etc. Computer room available for use without charge.
The room was clean and comfortable. The only problem was some noise from the air conditioning unit when the flap on it would open and close, so at night better turned off for a good night sleep.
