We loved Sucre. It retains an excellently restored and preserved Spanish colonial town center with its churches and monasteries. Everything within walking distance (at least for us); we never required car transport. The museum of the liberation period, the Casa de la Liberdade, was very interesting. The cathedral is magnificent and well maintained. English tours existed in all the museums we visited but there were very few time slots available so we made do with our reasonable Spanish skills.

This is perhaps the fifth time that I have visited Sucre...
This is perhaps the fifth time that I have visited Sucre with my partner. This time was for family reasons and not tourism. However, as always, Sucre - The White City - does not disappoint. We managed to go and see the indigenous show 'Origins' and combine the experience with dinner. This 'ethnic' history of Sucre was most enjoyable and I can thoroughly recommend it to all ages.

Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place.
Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place.
People are nice and streets (except market area) are not crowded.
City is quite small and centre has perfect construction. Need 10 minutes by walking to reach all interesting places.
But most important is the history of that place...
Worth to visit!

We were in Sucre for 4 days, it was lovely to have enough time to stop and watch the markets and see the town in its routine. Recommend hoping on a local bus for its route to see some of the back streets and hop off when something takes your fancy. Buses and Taxi's everywhere so you're never lost. Wonderful to see Indigenous tribes living here in Sucre, and their wonderful clothes and colours.
Recommend taking the bus out "of town" to Mercado Campesino for a another view into the day to day of Sucre.

The Museums are very beautiful and will and interesting history each one, I need more time to looked all. My time was very short.
The weather also was very nice as spring time, very clean nice architectonic colonial houses.
Great value for money! Cannot recommend this highly enough. I have found Bolivian hotels disappointing but not this! Felt at home and wish I could have stayed for longer. Very clean the surfaces are absolutely sparkling and nice clean white sheets. Simple private bathroom, well stocked kitchen, nice out doors and indoor area. They even have food you can use and just put money to an honesty box. They helped me so much with taxis and early check in. They recommended a cheap laundrette as well. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Beautiful house 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Sucre. Well furnished and comfy beds. Loved all the plants, drinking water, and very well equipped kitchen all for a great price; we would have been happy to pay a lot more here. Also great hospitality as we arrived really early in the morning (earlier than expected) and were allowed to sleep in another room free of charge- thanks!
The host Tania was so kind and helpful. Our bus arrived a lot earlier in the morning than anticipated and she sorted out a room for us to rest in. She provided advice on where to go and what to do in Sucre. She also knocked on our door to let us know when there were hummingbirds in the courtyard which was really sweet!
The room was also so comfortable and spacious. Really nice.
This hotel is simply spectacular! Every little detail was taken care of. Amazing building a few blocks away from the main square in the city centre. The staff were so kind, helpful and nice and the breakfast was delicious, the best scrambled eggs I've had in a very long time. Thank you to all the staff from this wonderful hotel for making my stay simply unforgettable!
The host was really polite, she gave us two keys, the room decoration was really nice, the beds were comfy, the bedspreads were warm and comfy.
It has a well equipped kitchen and a terrace with possibly one of the best views in town.
One thing to note is that the pictures and description of the place were totally accurate with the actual place.
The hotel was little gem lovingly decorated in Spanish colonial style. It has a pleasant rooftop sitting area for drinks in the evening. Great location, within easy walking distance of the major attractions of Sucre. The desk staff member was extremely helpful and organized our travel to our next destination in Bolivia, Potosi.
We arrived around 7am, the bedroom wasn’t ready as the check-in is at 12:30 but they let us stay in another room so we could rest meanwhile. The hotel was clean, new and pretty (with a cute courtyard), and in a great location. The personal is extremely helpful and kind. Great place.
The parador is located in three historical houses with patios connected one to each other. It has an excellent location, right in the city centre of Sucre, few meters from the main square. The best is the rooftop bar with amazing views over Sucre.
Beautiful apartment bang in the centre of the historical part of Sucre, but tucked away with the courtyard so not to be noisy. Bright and spacious. Huge comfy bed. The owner let us keep our bags there after check out when we had a night bus.
Nicely decorated and very quiet hotel. Centrally located. Comfortable beds. Decent shower. Work desk. Tasty breakfast. Very friendly staff, especially the man, who deserves a promotion for his hospitality.
A lovely accommodation for your holidays in Sucre. Nice terrace for breakfast. Very friendly owner. Bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The bedroom has a lot of storage space.
the hotel and its garden are beautiful. well located, clean, and silent. the owner is very nice and all recommendations given (what to see/do and places to eat) were great!
