Located in a nice neighborhood and close to a big mall and other restaurants/bars and cafes. The check-in and out process was easy. There is an option to book with the hotel for a Taxi transfer from the airport, which was great especially when we were all tired from a very long travel time with an arrival time after midnight. The driver will be waiting for you with your name on a sign. The price was very reasonable charging per taxi, not per person. Our room was very spacious. The beds were comfortable and closet space was plentiful. Shower pressure and temperature control were great. Breakfast had a good variety of selection, and if you are particular with your coffee, they have a nice coffee shop connected to the front lobby where you can buy your specialty coffee. I also appreciate the fact that their receptionist was bilingual (Spanish/English). All the receptionist we encountered havr been accommodating to our needs. Also, there is a self-service laundry machine in the hotel. At the time of our stay, it was $5 per load with the washer and dryer separately charged. We did see some laundry service within walking distance but this option was convenient and if shared with your group, then it is even more economical. Most importantly, they are equipped with an oxygen tank in case you ever need it for altitude sickness. One of my travel buds needed it the very first day we arrived. It was pretty scary.

Atix Hotel, Met Hotel, and La casa de Teresita got great room view-related reviews from travelers in La Paz.
An authentic South American large city still evolving. Everywhere you go you realized this is not for tourists, this is really a nation which has its own identity and you feel it in everything. If you don't speak Spanish then get ready to learn. People very friendly, and living history everywhere. Leave a day for the 2 hour trip to the jungle area for the La Senda Verde animal rescue area.
I would never recommend d this hotel.. the directions were insufficient fir me to locate it plus I have repeatedly tried to cancel and obtain a refund which with no direct phone communications to booking. Com had been impossible.
La Paz: A 3-day whirlwind! Explored history on a city tour, felt the passion of a football match, embraced culture in El Alto markets, conquered fear on Death Road, and soared above in the teleférico. Bolivia's heart revealed in a compact, unforgettable adventure.
La Paz is in a unique situation, surrounded by the Andes. Its cable car transport system is both practical and a spectacular treat for tourists. It is far better to use this than to use ground transport; the roads in the city are chaotic. The people are friendly and helpful, there are very good restaurants. From La Paz a traveller has access to amazing places to visit, from Lake Titicaca, at over 4000 metres above sea level, to the Yungas, which form part of the Amazonian basin forest system. You have to be careful to have a heart and blood-pressure check before visiting La Paz, as its altitude can be stressful for anyone with a heart condition. But I have been there on a number of occasions, and find it fascinating. The street life and the many local gifts based on alpaca and llama wool are two special features.
Unique setting of the city with striking views and snow covered Illimany on the background. We had one day and spent it driving cable cars and celebrating St. John in the park. Get info about safe areas.
I went to La Paz to watch my team play at Hernando SIlles Stadium for Libertadores. It is a great place for people watching and enjoying different culture habits and manners. It is a lively city with plenty to offer both in the city and in its outskirts. I suffered a lot with the altitude so I couldn't go around much so I definitely would like to go back, with more time to adpt and see places close to the city. I had lots of fun (slowly but surely) walking around its colourful streets, enjoying its street parties and going for rides in their cable cars. I
The building was as beautiful as the pictures! We stayed in several hotels across La Paz and 2 different rooms at this hotel during our time. This hotel was the first to have consistent hot water. The staff were genuinely very helpful and spoke fluent English making it easy for us. Small details such as scattering rose petals and beautifully folded towels to help us celebrate our honeymoon, and preparing take away breakfast boxes for our early departures for tours were the things that made our stay so lovely! Thank you.
The location is really convenient. Easily reachable in about half an hour from La Paz airport, and even quicker from the bus station (you may be arriving from Uyuni, for instance, by bus). The Mercado de las Brujas (the witches market), one of the main attractions in La Paz, is within walking distance. Many dining options are nearby. The receptionist was friendly, and could speak English. The walls inside the room were really colourfully painted (a bit overdone, in my opinion!).
Hotel Sagarnaga was a great place to stay. Centrally located in the old part of town, the hotel was mere minutes of walking from nearby attractions, cafes and restaurants. Depending on the room, depended on your view, the hotel also had a great breakfast and an onsite masseuse. We stayed a number of times during our trip to Bolivia, the rooms were always clean and the staff were exceedingly helpful. I would stay again.
La Paz
- Easily the friendliest and most helpful hosts we had in all Bolivia - Fantastic breakfast with eggs, cheese, two types of bread (not just toast), fruits and vegetables - Later check-out was no problem at all - Communication in English - clean, comfy rooms & bathroom with warm shower -> would 100% recommend staying here!
It was relaxing and well appointed. The staff were fantastic (Joaquin was an excellent host). The breakfasts were delicious. While situated a little outside the city center, it’s more calm for that. Plus the teleférico station is super close by and gets you into the city easily. An excellent start to our stay in La Paz!
Downtown La Paz, La Paz
Excellent location, cozy and comfortable It's idea for a person or couple. The location is central and easy to access to shopping centers, supermarket s etc. The attention of hosts is friendly, cordial and always available for any questions. I recommend this place for who wants to visit La Paz Bolivia.
Exceptionally comfortable and fancy room considering the price. Staff very helpful and the food is delicious!!! I noticed many other hotel reviews in La Paz complain about cold.rooms,.bad internet and noise from outside streets - well there were none of these problems here!! :D
It was clean, comfortable, and a short walk to the main tourist area of town. The staff was extremely kind and helpful - even stored my bags when I went to the salt flats and they went out of their way to find information for me. It was a great experience in La Paz!
This hotel was really amazing. The room was nicely designed and well equipped. Breakfast was great for bolivian standards. We loved the fresh fruits and juices. The staff was extremely friendly! They helped us out with absolute everything we needed.
Downtown La Paz, La Paz
Went there for another time in my second stay in La Paz. Hostel has all the facilities you would need, amazing parties, etc. If i ever open a hostel i will hire the manager! They are amazing
clean room with modern amenities that other hotels in bolivia don't have, like coffee maker. Always had tea and cookies out for guests. Very quiet for a city hotel.
Excellent 5* hotel in a nice part of La Paz, right near cable car terminal if you need to get anywhere. Huge comfortable rooms.
Downtown La Paz, La Paz
