I live here, so I have to deal with this city's problems every day. Traffic is heavy, service is subpar (but better than anywhere else in the nation), and crime and drug use have engulfed the downtown area and its immediate surroundings. The city is pretty ugly. Nevertheless, if you want a place in Brazil that's serious and actually features things to do, São Paulo is it. Once in a blue moon, someone speaks English; there's actual infrastructure for tourists; you can eat properly in a consistent manner; and there's always (and I mean always) something to do at night.RKasBrazil - 8.0Scored 8.0

It is a very expensive place, with an awful traffic, reasonable public transportation (outside rush hours, please), and some interesting cultural activities. Sao Paulo isn't the biggest tourist place to go in Brazil but it has lots to do and it's amazing! We felt safe at all times but of course, we took precautions such as keeping our valuables out of sight. But at no point, we felt in danger.

There is too many homeless people but do not harm. This only makes the environment dirty and smelly. If you secure yourself, if you do bot put yourself in a bad situation like going alone in the late night to somewhere yo do not know, this ofc attracts danger. Sao Paulo is very nice. I believe 3-4 days will be enough for the city. I highly recommend Ibirapuera Park. You can spend your whole day away from the chaos. And I can recommend Sala Sao Paulo. Homeowner was very helpful, always there to help and well prepared. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. Bathroom is so photogenic and the hammock on the balcony is a perfect spot to chill after a long day of exploring the city. Location is perfect! Very close to the Paulista st. And very good restaurants, bars and shopping center. I would definitely stay here again if I travel to São Paulo!

Bed quality was actually a good surprise and the sound isolation is very good considering you are in the middle of the biggest city on this side of the world.
