A beautiful pousada, up a charming flower and tropical plant filled "street". ( no cars on the island). We had room with a balcony overlooking the garden and the ocean a hundred meters or so in front of us. It was so nice to wake up and step out onto the balcony and have that surround you.
The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot with great pressure, and there was a good ac unit as well. The breakfast was delicious and they had an afternoon tea/coffee and cake set up as well which was a really nice touch.
The ladies who worked there were all so nice and gave us great tips for things to do on the island and places to eat.

Great spot for our family of 5. The hotel had a great breakfast. Brought In a playpen for us for our 2 yo but we didn’t even need it as the bed was very large and could fit our son in with us. our other two kids stayed in a bunk bed which they loved.
Location is a tiny bit far with the kids, but out kids actually did great walking to and from. Our only tiny complaint would be the pool was green, even though they cleaned and treated it every day. There was too much chlorine which was more irritating for me than the kids. They didn’t mind at all. Overall great!
We would definitely come back!

The entire island is wonderful and staying at Abraão was perfect for us. There were shops and supermarkets and many things to do such as canoeing and hiking. It is not the cheapest place in Brazil but really worth the visit! We had some good Italian food and enjoyed some caipirinha deals. We felt super safe also at night and enjoyed that we were able to walk everywhere!

Ilha Grande is paradise on earth, staying in Abrao is the smartest decision since is the "center" of the island. From there you can go everywhere you'd like. Either by hiking / walking or boat, you'll see the most amazing beaches, some of them even look caribbean.

Abraão itself is a place full of inns, BnBs and restaurants, but regarding attractions, Abraão is just the starting point of most "Ilha Grande" adventures.
Getting to Abraão is pretty easy, but you always have to pay attention to either the public ferry schedule or the "Flexboat" schedule. The public ferry (Barca) comes from Angra or Mangaratiba only once a day and it's the cheapest passage you can get, but it's a 90 minutes trip. The Flexboat schedule is made of different private companies and they cost about 3 times more than the public ferry, but the commute is way faster taking about 30 minutes.
I really liked staying at "Pousada Agua Viva" and their help with the commute was awesome.
The best meal I had at Abraao was at "Lua e Mar" and I ate the "Lua e Mar Grill"

I would highly recommend to spend 3-4 days at ilha grande and specifically Abraão. Take a boat trip to different islands on two of those days and spend the rest of the days just hanging out on the island itself. There is not too much to do on itself but eating at nice restaurants, speaking to the friendly locals and hanging out at the beach will make sure you will be fully rested at the end of your stay over here.
Excellent and attentive staff - Stephany, Stella and the entire team were wonderful and they gave us a lot of good recommendations. Compared to other hotel experiences in Brazil, the breakfast was very delicious as well as dinner (loved the homemade Burger and Fish stew).
The hotel is a bit outside of the town Abraao, hence it was really quiet and peaceful which we liked! The walk to town only takes approx. 15min through a well marked path and it’s absolutely doable (even after a few Caipirinhas at night).
Super calm place, away from all the action in Abraão, which was great for us. There's a private beach, and the Pousada has kayaks we can freely use to explore nearby places (we went all the way to Abraão). Still, going to Abraão regularly was no issue as there's a boat that makes the trip regularly, charging 15 reais a trip per person. Breakfast was nice and varied, and the rooms were great (with a great view from the balcony and large areas). There's also a drying rack, which is super useful.
Great location & at the quieter end of Abraao so for us it was the best of both worlds. We could relax on the beach & then head into the main area on an evening for food & drinks etc. The breakfast was great & they put on complimentary tea/coffee & cake everyday at 5 pm which was a really nice touch. Lorenzo was so friendly & helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this pousada!
The cleaning lady, Mão, was super sweet and very excited to help. It's very easy to get anywhere in Abrãao, but also away from the hustle of the main streets. Having a kitchen made a huge difference for food costs! The shower had constant (but not strong) pressure, and was hot as long as I needed it.
Mão folds the towels, sheets and blankets like origami. It was very impressive!
Extremely friendly staff, everyone we interacted with was super helpful and dedicated to excellence. It really feels like a 5 star hotel in the middle of the jungle. Access can be tricky but it is well worth it. Very exclusive location and experience, there were many times that it felt like we had an entire beach for ourselves.
Excellent location right in the heart of Abraao, right by the port. The staff who run the hostel are brilliant - super friendly and helpful and always willing to share their tips for things to do on the island. It had a nice, chilled social vibe when I stayed and was clean and well-equipped. muito obrigado!
This place is a dream! It is spotless clean, new towels and toiletries provided daily, room was always clean when we came back from the beach. The breakfast is absolutely superb, staff are great. I cannot recommend this place enough. Its the best hotel we stayed at in South America.
The location a few minutes walk from the main pier in Abraao facing the ocean. Beautiful views from the the terrace. Comfortable king size bed and spacious room. A bit pricey compared to other properties at Ilha Grande but it was worth it.
The place is so beautiful and cozy and the staff were amazing and really welcoming. Another highlight is the breakfast and the restaurante Las Sorrentinas, which serves Argentinian pasta. The best I’ve ever had! Not to be missed!
Right next to the pier and in the centre of Abrãao, right on the beach!
Great breakfast. Staff were also very friendly and offered my wife medication and tea When she wasn't feeling great.
Everything is wonderful. Exceptionally clean. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Beakfast is big and afternoon tea with cakes are included in stay. Best place in whole Brazil!!!!!!
