By day, view the falls from the riverfront promenade, or for an up-close-and-personal experience, the Hornblower Niagara Cruise takes you right into the swell. Rain ponchos are provided. Alternatively, there’s the Journey Behind the Falls – a walk through the rock behind Niagara. Handy portholes help you to experience the thundering water.
Slightly downstream are the American Falls, less well-known and less impressive, but worth a look. At night, both falls get illuminated by coloured lights – an incredible sight. Further downstream is the Rainbow Bridge which you can walk across to get an American stamp in your passport. Just check your visa requirements first.
The city itself has 7 golf courses – one is close to the river, so be careful with your swing! Other Niagara Falls attractions include casinos, cinemas and Marineland Canada, featuring the world's largest whale habitat for viewing orcas both above ground and below.

I highly recommend a trip to Niagara Falls.
I highly recommend a trip to Niagara Falls. It is beautiful and there are a lot of things to do. The boat ride and view behind the falls were my favorite thing. Be prepared to get a bit wet even though they give you a rain poncho. The ride on the cable car is also nice. We rode the ego bus and had short walks to the attractions after drop off. It was very easy to use and buses run frequently. Food is expensive so be prepared. Taxes are high.

Great place to visit. Lots of tourists and lots of noise. You can pick which one you want as some streets are less noisy. You have your choice of foods - we chose Indian and had a great meal at Passage to India on Stanley Ave. Prepare for crowds everywhere, but easy to maneuver around. Went in June before it gets too crazy!

No B.S.....MUST stay on the Canada side!!. Our fellow Canucks have done it right when showing you a good time around the Falls. Excellent trip, everything was affordable, must buy the ADVENTURE PASS & THE CLIFTON HILS PASS , that will save you a lot,and of course because of the exchange rate. Only thing that sucks about the area is the "extra tax" that almost all establishments add onto the total....literally, on top of the 13-15% government tax, these businesses add on another 5-10% MORE , just because!!! Even the locals are outraged by this....and the government cannot do nothing about it! VERY IMPORTANT...SIMPLY REFUSE TO PAY IT. They will take it off. Guaranteed. All in all.....Fantastic time for family , couples, friends and going solo!!

Niagara Falls is beautiful any time of year, just be dressed for the weather. We had a little rain in April but all the daffodils and magnolias were in full bloom. There was a gorgeous display of orchids in the Greenhouse. We enjoyed the Bird Kingdom and Butterfly Conservatory. Table Rock was an exceptional restaurant, as was, Ravine Vineyard.
