Very empty hotel when we arrived (self check in), but surprisingly nice accommodations with an honor bar, common rooms, and nice room. Good breakfast and manager was very nice.

The location is very good. Very close to Monschau (by car). The room was very good, with 2 excellent massage chairs and a sauna. Bed and pillows were good, although a little too soft for my taste. The night door access was very convenient. Breakfast was reasonable.
This hotel is located south of of the old imperial town of Aachen and on the edge of the Medieval town of Monschau. For active people and nature lovers, the surroundings have lots to offer.
Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Zimmer sauber und ruhig.

Monschau is a quaint medievel town which is lovely to explore.
We went to the glass-blowing exhibit and even did our own glass-blowing - definately worth the visit.
We also took the electric tourist train which is well worth the experience.

Monschau is a postcard perfect small town in a gully.
Monschau is a postcard perfect small town in a gully.
There are some hilly roads in and out and about.
The architecture is lovely, the presentation of the houses almost too shiny and pretty. A stream flows through alongside cobblestoned winding streets. Great for photos. Plenty of places to eat and drink. FULL of tourists.

Monschau is a hidden gem with lots of character.
Monschau is a hidden gem with lots of character. It is a very historic place with artistic connections too. It is easy to walk round but possibly not if you have mobility issues. Everything is very close and the place we ate was outstanding.

Perfect location if you like hiking, woods, rivers and easy mountains. Liked it a lot. Small cute touristic town, almost a village. And a lot of nature around. Even if you came without a car but you love walking - would be nice place for you. There seems not so much to do in the town other than eating and drinking but this was what we needed.

Monschau is a very pretty tourist-centric village.
Monschau is a very pretty tourist-centric village. Lots of hotels, holiday homes, restaurants and cafes. People are very friendly. Parking can be difficult altho there is a parking lot at each end of the village - do use them as parking in the middle is limited.
It has a lovely Christmas Market .
Monschau is also very convenient for visiting Aachen.
The Eifel is also a great area to walk or cycle and there is plenty to keep adults and children busy in the open air!

Visiting for Christmas Market. Aware only on at weekends.
Visiting for Christmas Market. Aware only on at weekends. We have visited several times over 20 years ago.Town not so decorated eg houses etc compared to few years ago. No longer small supermarket nor chemist, less stalls. Market did not seem as busy . The “passion play” held outside involving the children also no longer. Is this just a sign of the times following Covid? / rise in cost of living. However, we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Just two of us now. Also enjoyed the snow, made town and surrounding area very festive.
This was the best property i have EVER stayed in- and i have travelled A LOT. The attention to detail in refurbishing this property is mind-blowing. Everything is just great about it, if you ever find yourself in Monschau, book this property hands down. I myself am a hotel owner as well and i was borderline jealous of the meticulous work done at the appartment. Congratulations guys, you made my stay with my spouse and my mother-in-law an unforgettable experience!
Lovely location, easy walking distance from centre of Monschau and good size parking, 5 Euros for a motorbike. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Had to ring someone to get the key but not a problem and they came really quickly. Nice size apartment with good facilities in the apartment kitchen if you were to bring your own food (we could not see any grocery stores in Monschau itself).
Breakfast was good. The hotel looks great, and I like the way it harks back to the past. The location is on a quieter street very near the town centre, which is excellent. The room (third floor) was adequately furnished, but we felt the ventilation could have been better. Beds were good.
