The location was great and the staff was very helpful in giving directions for walking downtown. The shower was nice and the towels were clean and fluffy, not flat and used.
The address given (so I don't know if this is a booking.com issue or not) takes you down the street when put in GPS. To have dinner at the hotel you have to go to their partner restaurant, but there's no real sign to imply it's an Italian restaurant. We went for dinner and I ordered a German wine, because a. I'm in Germany, and b. The waitress had just placed menus in front of us and I had not had chance to look at it yet. When I ordered a German wine she laughed at me and responded, "You're in an Italian restaurant and order a German wine, um try again." Then I ordered a Chianti (she put me on the spot and I ordered the first Italian wine that came to mind) and she started to ask me all the questions about whether I was aware it was a red wine, and if I would be able to handle it. I mean, really? I realize this is not a part of the hotel, but if the hotel is going to give recommendations to this restaraunt they need to ensure that the wait staff is respectful (or at least let people know it's an Italian place so they don't make the apparent faux paux I made). One more thing about this issue, I've lived in Germany for four years now, and have never had someone treat me like this for ordering a wine that is actually made in the same village.
Great breakfast and nice breakfast room. Helpful reception staff. Central location and has parking (if a bit tight). Clean and well maintained business style hotel - boring but functional. Free water in the room.
No spare pillows in the wardrobe! (the usual very soft German pillows are provided which are hopeless and you always need extra ). You have to ask for a mini bar to be installed - a policy which I never understand. If you don't want road noise ask for a room at the side or back. The info in the room is wrong - the wifi is free but you have to ask for the code at reception.
Nice modern hotel and rooms, which are a good size. Friendly staff, good breakfast. We visited for the Christmas market, hotel is in a good location for the old town and station. Secure underground parking, carpark isn't huge, but assuming you can actually drive it is not a problem at all!
Annoying WiFi log-on ticket required, they didn't charge for it though.
nice hotel space in room clean
small parking places in garage
Comfortable bed not far from the center good WIFI
I had expected a bigger room for 100 Euro but it was ok of course. There was a strange smell in the room
The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great.
Located in the middle of the town but quiet. Staff were helpful. Restaurant next door was also nice. Two stairs room with enough space for family. Wifi connection was fast and strong signal though we stayed at the top floor.
Breakfast was ok and 10 min walk to old town which is good after dinner. Very nice town.
Sound insulation poor, WiFi restricted to 1 user in a family room for 3, receptionist was not happy to help and parking was tight and if you have a suv it can be a problem for the height oh and no bar open on a Friday night!...avoid
We booked a triple room through booking but when we got to the hotel (at 23:00 with two small children) we were given a single room with double bed. However, when we complained about it we were given another room with no extra charge. It was a good solution but We had to sleep separately.
I liked the fact that air conditioning was available ( it was a hot summer night). Staff was kind enough to upgrade me to an AC room ( not all rooms have it ) for no additional charge. Clean place.
Comfort of the bed was not top but quite fair. My room was situated on the last floor and once in a while a kind of water pump would start operating in the ceiling above me, creating quite some noise that perturbed my sleep.
Lovely breakfast area and good selection of food. Room was spacious and clean
It was made clear how to get wifi
very good and tasty breakfast
Happy with everything. Will stay there again.
The "duplex" family room
No free WiFi
Very convenient for overnight stop , secure underground parking, ease of access to Esslingen and always very helpful English speaking staff.
Good location and good breakfast.
We were not informed about 2 floors room.
Nothing to complain
Good location to old town.
Breakfast a bit crowded.
